  1. A US tax return is an important US document - it shows that you are being a 'legal' and responsible resident or citizen - so if you do not include that as part of the proof of you living here as 'normal' married people then it could be taken negatively. At the minimum send in the extension copy showing what you paid with the extension). Think of the importance of taxes to the US agencies not as just another piece of proof to be surpassed by pictures or bills or affidavits from family and friends. Good Luck

    Thank you,

    We finally sent the package WITH the joint Tax returns for the past 3 years, so hopefully everything should be fine.

  2. Petitions filed with the Nebraska or Texas Service Centers after this announcement but prior to a change in the form instructions will be forwarded to the California or Vermont Service Centers, respectively, without any need for action by the petitioner. However, there could be a slight delay in the adjudication of the petition as a result of the transfer; so, petitioners are encouraged to file directly with the appropriate service center as outlined above. If a petitioner receives a receipt notice from the Nebraska or Texas Service Center, his or her case will be transferred to the California or Vermont Service Center for adjudication. The petitioner should receive a notice advising him or her that the case has been transferred.

    Oh Mannnn, that's why when I checked the status of the package I sent a few days ago on the USPS website they said it has been forwarded to a different address!!!!How was I supposed to know, I checked the address on the application (on the USCIS website)and it was Lincoln, NE and now it's CA!!!GREAT :unsure: more and more delays...

  3. By the way, I never got anything from USCIS about the AR-11 that I sent when we moved, is it possible that they never got it??wasn't I supposed to receive something from them?

    No, you will never receive anything from them regarding the AR-11.

    that is why it is good to send it with delivery confirmation, but you really don't have to mail it in anymore the ar-11 is available to complete online now...

    And the online form actually provides a confirmation number along with the information you supplied.

    So you guys think I should do it AGAIN online after 18 months?

  4. quote]

    Who cares about your sponsor at this point? The I-864 doesn't figure in the removal of conditions.

    Well apparantly the USCIS DO care!!!

    The sponsorship agreement remains in force until the sponsored immigrant:

    Becomes a U.S. citizen;

    Can be credited with 40 quarters of work;

    Departs the United States permanently and either formally abandons lawful permanent resident status (by filing Form I-407) or is formally held in a removal proceeding to have abandoned that status;

    In a removal proceeding, loses the lawful permanent resident status that the sponsored immigrant obtained based on your Form I-864; or

    Dies.

    Anyways, we mailed the form today so hopefully we should be fine.

  5. we also did the same thing, mailed the AR11 but didn't think about my husband (sponsor) having to send in notice too and we were a year at the new address.

    I sent in his change of address at the same time as my removal of conditions. On the cover letter of my package, I wrote that I didn't know..blah blah blah and that I have sent his change in. I was concerned that our evidence spanning over two years showed two different addresses. We received an NOA from his address change. We ended up getting an RFE cause of a typo (see my old post) but I'm not sure the RFE wasn't somehow related to the address update as who knows which department processes first.

    Anyway, all is well. No fines, no penalties. Sent in my petition in late Sept 07...card received in March 08.

    You'll be fine.

    Thank you so much, that sure is relieving!!and congratulations on the Card.

    I just filled the form up but I'm still not sure what to write on the cover letter, I'm thinking of sending it tomorrow, a few days before I send my package!

  6. You sound so sure which makes me feel a little better! but this should have been sent within 30 days of the move, and we're almost 18 months late!!!hihiih

    Well here's why I freaked out:

    Penalties:

    If the sponsor fails to give notice of a change in his

    or her address, as required by 8 U.S.C. 1183a(d) and

    8 CFR 213a.3, the sponsor may be liable for the

    civil penalty established by 8 U.S.C. 1183a(d). The

    amount of the civil penalty will depend on whether

    the sponsor failed to give this notice knowing that the

    sponsored immigrant(s) have received means- tested

    public benefits.

  7. Hi,

    I'm applying to remove conditions on my GC in the next few days, it expires in about 2 weeks. and my husband was my sponsor (I-864). We moved in October 2006 and I sent the AR-11, but didn't know about the I-865 (Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address), I just knew about it now while going through the forum!!!!! Are we going to be fined? Can we still send it now?what should we do????should I send it with my application?? would it effect my application?

    I'm truly freaking out right now!!!!

  8. Hello everyone...

    I'm getting my papers ready to send and I have a Lot of evidence including a birth certificate of our daughter, joint bank accounts, joint utility bills, Joint car insurance, health insurence cards, house Mortgage, Costco memberships and a lot more, but the ONLY thing I don't have is our joint Tax papers(we filed for an extention this year)!!!

    My question is, is it necessary to send copies of our tax returns, or can I just send the evidence I have!!!I'm running out of time, my Conditional Green Card expires in less than a month!!!What do you suggest????

  10. Hi there,

    I hope you guys could help me with this issue,

    My best friend just discovered that her conditional green card has expired a few days ago and she didn't know, they applied for the removal right away, but she's soooo concerned because she has to leave in a month to attend her brother's wedding overseas, and she doesn't know what to do!!!

    Would the INS give her an advance parole or something that she could use to reenter the US???

    Thanks in advance for your help guys...

  11. Hello,

    We had our interview yeasterday, and everything was going well but guess what :angry: ...

    the officer told us at the end that they're still waiting for the FBI Clearance!!!!he said that the fingerprints were cleared but the name not yet!!!

    He said it might be because I had an H1B1 Visa before, he doesn't really know...

    I mean it's frustrating, everything in the interview went well, except for this, and from what I'm hearing, this might take a lonnng time the officer said that our case is "APPROVABLE" but he can't do anything till they get the Clearance....

    I read a few about a few similar cases in the forum...

    WHY IS THIS HAPPENIIIIIIIIIING.... :crying:

  12. I just got back from my interview, and guess what...

    SAME PROBLEM, still waiting for the FBI Clearance!!!!the officer who interviewed us told us that the fingerprints were cleared but the name not yet!!! :crying:

  13. Hello There,

    I think this is weird!!!!

    We applied for my AOS on November 13th and we applied for the work Authorization and the Alien relative petition too.

    The funny thing is that on January 2nd I got a letter from the uscis for my initial interview which is on March 2nd...

    I still haven't received ANYTHING concerning my EAD nor the other petition(I-130) which is supposed to be approved in order to adjust my status :wacko: ....it's been almost 3 months, it's really weird, I haven't even got a letter from them to do the biometrics for the EAD!!!!I feel that I'm gonna get my Green Card before I get the EAD(in that case I wont be needing it), I really hope the interview goes well, my husband and I have been married for a year and a half now, so hopefully my AOS will be approved :innocent:

    Do you think there's a problem???is it NORMAL????

    Thanks guys...
