look what I got this morning while at work! now what should I do? wait for letter first? I'm leaving to china on the 18th

  2. how will I be able to get an ITIN for my wife? will she have to sign the papers and what else do I need with the W-7? copy of her passport? birth certificate? marriage certificate?

    Thanks!

  3. got all my receipts and pictures ready for when my I-130 gets approved and gonna go for electronic processing. does all my pictures and receipts have to be in .pdf also and how will I send everything if I got loads of evidence? do they accept everything zipped up?

  4. Per my wife, the VO asked only two questions. Where does your husband live, how did the two of you meet? From relative or friend. Asked to see a few pictures, and took my 3yrs tax transcript. Then he said, ok you passed. You may leave now. My wife didn't even realized that, that was the interview. She had thought that they were still asking for evidences and then take her to a room to do the interview. My wife asked, huh? what does that mean? Does that mean I'm approved? VO replied, yes with a grin. Wait for the visa package, it should arrive in about 5-10 days.

Yes, my wife is from Taishan.

nice! hope mine will be the same when the time comes. what evidence did you send? did you send it all with the i-130 or after the approval? did u have a banquet? wifey is worried that we didn't have a banquet and they might delay us or something.

  5. I just went ahead and got the red book translated and certified. don't wanna take anymore risks and more delays. hope everything goes smoothly now. is the letter I got what you call an RFE also? it doesn't state that tho and how long do u think it will take now after they receive this?

  6. see, photocopies of white books are sufficient when CSC or VSC does the adjudication.

so SFO has their own rules for adjudication? yikes.

I say make a photocopy of a complete white book, label it .

marriage certifiate white book = Provide a certified marriage certificate with an English translation.

perhaps they want the original white book ?

seriously, they are not using the same guidelines for adjudication as CSC or VSC.

so it can't be the red book right? because that book isn't even translated. should I make a infopass appointment and just bring in the original white book and copies of it? how long do u think it will take after doing this?

  7. I just got a letter from the SF local office. These following boxes are checked:

Certified marriage certificate for the petitioner and beneficiary

Notarial birth certificates and marriage certificates are not acceptable. Provide a certified marriage certificate with an English translation.

What are those? I sent in the white booklets I got with English translation when I got married. Could it be the red booklet?
