  1. hmm.. so how do I start the process of doing it online? I had a friend that called Colombia for me asking how to get a report and they said she has to be here.. but my friend asked if theres any other way and told them I lived around San Francisco, CA USA. They gave us colombia consulate info. Then I called the SF # and she said she doesn't know and took down my name and number and said will call me tomorrow once she gets more info. seems so hard to get this paper

  2. the one I got online didn't work. they refused and said "We need an original or notarized copy of a Colombian police report covering your time in Colombia, with a certified English translation."

so I e-mailed them saying the consulate officer gave my wife the Colombia website telling her to get the police certificate there and that's what I did. Do I just need to translate the one we turned in or a different police certificate? How do we get it if we're not in Colombia?

and then they replied "Please refer to the website or contact the Colombian authority regarding how to obtain the police certificate."

this is getting so fustrating! would appreciate any help I can get on this. I tried calling them but they speak Spanish, they said hold on and just hung up on me. everyone is so helpful there! -.-

  3. Hi, I'm from Colombia, you just need to go to:

    http://antecedentes.policia.gov.co:7003/WebJudicial/antecedentes.xhtml

if she had a "cedula de extranjeria" choose that option and type the number in there, then type the security code and click on "buscar".

Let me know if there's something else you need help with! :D

ya that's where I got it. Thanks! The result page didn't have her name only her number. She had a cedula de extranjeria temporal. I printed the page to pdf and scanned her ID with it. Hope everything goes well soon!

  4. well she didn't really pass fully yet. not until they review the Colombia police record. but ya that day went fast and many got approved. my wife said saw one who failed came out screaming and crying while her husband was trying to comfort her. my wife was done at around 9ish. only asked a few basic questions like when and how did we meet and last time she have seen me. have she ever been out of country and for how long. (thats why i need the colombia police certificate) 1st floor was to check letter and got a blue card to move 2nd floor. she couldn't bring in any electronics or purse with her. only documents and evidence. she went through 3rd floor which had metal detector and a guy checking passport to get through then she went up to 4th while i stood behind. they didnt even look at the evidence or pictures. only took her medical, birth, marriage, and china criminal record. signed part 2 of the ds230 that they had (not the original.) took my I864ez, w2s, pay stubs and 2009-2012 tax return transcripts. my wife said there were 2 ppl interviewing. one asking questions and then closing mic to talk to other person. my wife says she thinks the other one is seeing if my wife is lying or not. she said she was mostly nodding. so ya everything went well but that one missing document

  5. wow what a coincidence. was ur appointment on the 8th? me and my wife was there too. it was raining while waiting outside. i had to go 7 eleven to buy an umbrella. my wife also passed and got immigration fee paper. the only problem i have now is to get a Colombia police certificate. now we have to pick a drop off location? they wont mail visa to ur home?

  6. u have a colombian id right? click on that link and in "nuestros servicios" consultas de antecedentes. write the number its easy

she has a id that says cedula de extranjeria temporal and has the #. which option do I choose? Extranjería?

it doesn't show her name on the result page. I guess I can scan her ID and attach it with this

  7. Has anyone else had any problems with the Police Certificate lately?

The only threads I could find on visajourney were from before DAS was disbanded.

My husband printed out his police record certificate (one page, online) and included it in the package, but we were told that the document is missing by the operator today.

Should we send an email with the document attached? Mail in another hard copy? Try to call and talk to somebody?

This is the first road bump we have had so I am not sure what is the best course.

how did you get the police certificate online?
