  1. I seen cases here on VJ where nvc had review both documents at once but they may go with your first scan date in August or the Sept scan date.. I just called nvc and after holding 40 minutes I spoke to Bryan who told me they still haven't review my case yet and that it could take 60 days.. This is my 52nd day of waiting and my scan date is August 8. You may want to call and ask cause I seen two cases complete from 8/6 last week..

But after sending both the package i received a e-mail saying they will need 60 days to review my documents. Now from when should I count my 60 days? I am confused...

  2. I have one doubt... My AOS package was sent on 5th August but my IV package was sent on 15th sept (they received on 18th sept), so in my case from when should I count 60 days??

People here are talking only about AOS completion but what about their IV package...??Only on completion of both the package, case will be complete. Ryt??

  3. Hi Hardik,

My wife filed my petition under f2a category. PD on Feb 2 2014. Wife's OATH ceremony is on OCT 10 2014. If we upgrade from F2A to IR, will the USCIS process become faster?

In my case it actually got faster...once I got upgraded, my case was approved even before those who had PD earlier than me. It may also depend on which is ur service center... I would suggest better change it with USCIS, because nvc may take some time upgrading your case and eventually delays...so better do it as soon as u get naturalization certificate... Good luck

  4. How do you know that your documents got scanned in the system?? I guess they dont notify that...

Actually i mailed my AOS docs on 5th aug, but my IV bill was generated very late on 10th sept, so i submitted my IV package on 15th sept and they received on 18th sept...my AOS package already took more than 45 days but just few days for my IV package, so my 60 days will be separate for both the task???

If so, then it is going to take soo long... :(

  5. Yest i filled my DS-260 form and in that i selected yes for vaccination documentation as per US laws but i do not have it as if now...based on reading few forums I thought it ll b done at the time of medical test before the interview so i chose 'yes'...Now I feel that there is mixed review about yes or no...I am bit worried...

Has anybody who has said 'yes' despite of not having documentation faced delay or problem??? please reply..

    Thanks

  7. My file was approved on 19th june and i got AOS bill & DS-261 intimation on 14th july...

I paid the bill and filled DS-261 both on 15th july...

Today its 28th july and still no response from NVC...what could be the reason for that?

I e-mailed them more than 10 times but no reply...also they are always busy on call...

  8. why wouldn't the passport office issue a new PCC if you needed it?

I have one question...I have read in the us embassy site that on the interview date entry wont be allowed if we dont have PCC and if v have to send PCC to NVC then how is it possible...do v need to have two copies of PCC....i m confused...

people who have gone through this process please help...

    my embassy is mumbai

  9. They updated on site about my case that they have received my evidence on 21st may and 'll start processing on that basis. They have given a processing time of 60 days.

One more thing, we called them to ask about my case upgradation from relative of LPR to USC. They said it's already upgraded on 24th March but notification for that is not given to me. That sounds bit odd...but Ya they confirmed that my case is running on the basis of USC.

  10. My spouse living in richmond filed I-130 for me on 22 Oct 2013. We received a RFE in our case on 5 May 2014 from Vermont service centre of USCIS.

    RFE states following short fall

"you did not submit sufficient evidence that a legitimate marriage exists between my spouse and me. Therefore additional evidence is required"

I would just brief the evidence which are already submitted to USCIS to prove our marriage to be legitimate

    1) marriage certificate

    2) Affidavit from my relative

I do not have any other proof like joint bank account, insurance, property, etc as we only stayed for 3 months in India and then she went back to USA. Now I am perplexed how to proceed further in the case.

Any suggestion/help???? thanks in advance... :)

  11. Help needed...!!!

In my RFE, they have asked two things...

    1) They said "you did not submit sufficient evidence that a legitimate marriage exists between my spouse and me. Therefore additional evidence is required"

I have already submitted my marriage certificate and affidavit from my relative...I do not have any other evidence since we stayed only 3 months after marraige. What other evidence should I produce to them?? :(

    2) This says that i need to send passport style photos of correct specification...this is not the issue...

I am only worried about my first point...what to do now??
