WOW! True love does exist! Who would have thought that I would meet my soulmate 4,000 miles accross the Atlantic Ocean in Dakar, Senegal??? God never ceases to amaze me!

I met Babs in May 2005 while on a mission trip with fellow seminarians. He was our driver and interpreter. He was easy-going and I really enjoyed talking to him. I thought that he was an awesome person to befriend. Little did I know that Babs wanted a little more from me ; ).

A week later, Babs approached me and told me that he wanted to marry me...really??? He didn't know me! My first thought was, "He really wants a green card bad, huh?" Thank God that my first thought was soooo wrong! We out to dinner that night and talked for hours. There was such a connection. We went out every night after that enjoying each other's presence.

Before I left, Babs brought me before his family to ask for their blessing for us to start courting. The family agreed and explained to me that from now on, Babs cannot be seen with another woman until the two of us agree to end the relationship. I was in awe; he really showed me that he was serious about us. He had me at that moment. : )

So, now here we are, married with a beautiful little girl! My hubby always says, "One day, by the grace of God, we will be together." We look forward to the day that Babs will be able to meet our daughter for the first time and we can begin our life together!
