Thank you for the response but we have tried contacting senators and congressman but they said they can't help with transfer to another country and with Afghanistan situation there is no way for him to get out of the country without getting visa and it's not easy to get Visa for other neighboring counties. I was thinking about India but I'm not sure if India or even turkey does case transfer. I tried contacting them both via email and phone but I never get a clear response.

I wish they did process immigrants Visa but they only process SIV and parole cases.

Hello all Visa Journey families,
I have a question so I have filed Petition for my father back in February 2019 and his case was approved November 2020 and It was send to Kabul Afghanistan US Embassy in March 2021 and since the shut down of US embassy in Kabul Afghanistan we have no idea where to transfer the case because Pakistan and Abu Dhabi do not process any immigrant visa case that's been transferred from outside and we don't know which other country we should use I have been talking to NVC and they are just telling me to find the neighboring country that accept case transfer. does anyone know what what should I do?
My father is stuck in Afghanistan and he is really old and has no one around him to help him could someone please give me any idea what to do in which Neighboring country accept case transfer?
Thank you in advance

Okay: is it the birth certificate of the father or the son that is needed? If it is for the father, it makes no sense whatsoever that the father cannot obtain a copy of his own birth certificate, from within his own country, regardless of its intended use.
Birth certificate is for the son that is needed inorder to approve the petition that was filled for the father.

Yes that's right so we must provide it before the due date or they'll deny his dad's case.

Please read it properly.... it says that he needs to contact his closest afghan embassy or consulate to get a tazkera. A tazkera is not the same as a birth certificate. The link I provided explains it all in quite a lot of detail but the important takeaway for you is that he must get one, your husband’s assertion that he cannot get one if he is not in Afghanistan is not what the official guidelines say. And they go by their guidelines. This is obviously why he was asked to provide it.
Got it thank you so much I'll have to ask him to come back to us and do all these. He is deployed in Afghanistan.

Sorry for confusing you but yes his father can not go and get copy of birth certificate for his son from Kabul Afghanistan (per my husband saying) I'm not saying this but according to my husband his dad can't get the copy for him. He has to be there. I don't know if he is correct or not.

This is the official DOS page, you don't need the birth certificate but you need the tazkera, it says "Applicants outside of Afghanistan should contact their nearest Afghan Embassy or Consulate on how to obtain a tazkera. "
So he needs to do that (It does not say unavailable if outside the country, which he would be able to use as a reason to not present it as it is for some countries). It also says:
Alternate Documents: There are no alternate documents.
Exceptions: None
So you're saying he doesn't need the tazkira??? He lost the tazkira but has English translated version. Would they accept that? Or do I still need tazkira???

I'm confused.
He sent in the English translation of his birth certificate. He did not send a copy of the original birth certificate.
What's the deadline on the letter to send in a copy of the original BC?
Yes He send the English translated version and not the original copy of it. And deadline is November 21, 2019. I'm so lost I don't know what to do. I called immigration services and they won't give me any specific answer cause I'm not the petitioner or applicant. And my husband is not here to speak to them as well
-
@Jorgedig according to my husband his father can't get it from there cause he needs to be present to get a copy of it.
-
There's an afghan version that's called tazkira and then he got It translated to English. So he has only the English translated but not the afghan tazkira

Hello all, my husband filled for petition to bring his father to us and filled I130 on February 7th, we just recurved letter on August 28th to provide original birth certificate. He has the original birth certificate that's been translated in engliu with all the stamps and signs but not the original dari or pashtoo language version. We can't get that one because my husband is deployed for work and there's no way he can go back to Kabul to get the original foreign language version. What do we do? Do we resend the Emglish version or is there any other suggestions. I would really appreciate your help please.

Laila, I understand ur worries and frustrations. My husband has been in AP for almost 9 months now and still nothing :-(
My advice for u is to wait at least 60 days before making any sort of inquiry (I read this somewhere in their website) and so that is what I followed. Over the months, I've called, emailed, had my lawyer email them, and had my congressman email them. I've just got the same response each and every time. My point is that no matter how many times u contact them, it will not speed up the process. Unfortunately, AP is not completed until they say it is. My friend, I will tell u one that I wish others before me in my shoes would have told me...grow some thick skin and be patient :-)
And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
And y is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
And why is ur fiancé applying for non-immigrant visa?
Hi maht, I'm just being so confused cause of wht the consulate told my fiancé on his interview day. Anyways thanks dear for suggestion and I don't know the answer as well but that is what they have in system lol non immigrant visa.

Hello everyone, I know it's too early yo panick but just for peace of mind and heart I would like to get everyone's suggestion please. As you all know my fiancé had his interview October 7, 2013 and did his medical exam on October 10, 2013 and drop it off on October 20th and our case was once updated on October 22 and once last night October 27 but this time it had a different message of AP. the reason I'm worried is cause the interviewer never told my fiancé abut placing in AP but in fact she sad drop off your passport and medical result so we could print you visa. And everyday whenever I checked the case status it just had this long AP message but today it was like
NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Administrative Processing
Application ID or Case Number: KBL2013xxxxxx -01
Case Creation Date: 27-Oct-2013
Status Updated Date: 27-Oct-2013
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.
This is a bit confusing and worrying me and I can't just email US embassy cause I am afraid they might just get pissed and put his file away. Please any suggestion would be helpful for us. Thank you all

Hi Laila, any new news? Medical was done and dropped off? I hope everything is going well
Hi there, medical done and so was interview but tonight just hoping and waiting for them to call my fiancé cause he dropped off his passport as well with medical result. I'm just so nervous and worried right now. I can't even control my emotions and I have been crying since past few days just cause I'm worried what if they put him in APlike everyone else. there is no way I can go back and visit him Nd this is what kills me :'(

Our case on the CEAC hasn't been updated since Sept. 30th, is that normal?
Yes that is a normal thing, Don't worry about it and good luck.

It has been 2 months since the us embassy in Kabul has been forwarded the I-129 k1 visa file. I was always under the impression that they usually send the package out with the requirements for interview within approx. 2 weeks. It's been 2 months now and we still have not heard from them.
Is this a normal wait time? Should we contact them or will that only aggravate the situation further and possibly cause further delays?
Hello, I suggest you wait because I waited 5 months and then after that they give me an interview and letter and send me email so I suggest you wait at least a couple more weeks and then shoot them an email inquiring about your process good luck with everything and let me know if you need any other help. Goodluck

Laila, is the package sent to the beneficiary/fiance in afghanistan or to the petitioner?
Sorry for late reply So yes email sent to either beneficiary or petitioner doesn't matter and in my case they emailed me without even calling my fiance in Kabul.

Hahaha thanks yeah all kandaharis are gathered I'm vj lol in sha Allah I'm hoping he gets his visa soon and passing for everyone else
It's Afghanistan. If Dostum can be elected as the first VP, then anything is possible as well Good Luck
