hey guys we got our manila case number yesterday and I am wondering if there's an online link that you can give me to check our approved k1 petition is in manila,embassy...should i just call them and ask?any ideas will be greatly appreciated..
Hi! Congrats on having ur MNL num
You actually have few options on what to do first.
1. You may now proceed to your medical at SLEC. Register online at their website; http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/index.php and print 2 copies of the registration form. Bring the original and photocopy of passport, 3 pcs 2x2 pics (with name at the back) with white background, and black point pen and medical fee which is amounting to P9,143.
2. You can do that even without scheduling/paying the visa interview fee, they are two separate entities
3. You can pay your visa fee but you cannot schedule your interview appointment if the case hasn't reached the USEM. You can track your case at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? .When the status is "READY", that's the time for you to schedule your interview appointment online, yes, online because it is way easier to do it online. If you will call them to set your schedule, they will ask you lots of questions which means that you'll pay a lot for that call. Not so practical
Good luck and God bless
Hope this helps.

Yes I have the link already. I've checked yesterday and now but it still says READY and not ISSUED.
oh ok! You may call them and ask, 02-3012000 ext 5184.

My fiancé's interview was approved, and on April 4, according to the US Embassy web-site her Visa was issued April 5, one week ago. Is there a web site you can track the flow of the visa/passport with 2GO, I think I have seen one listed on this site.,...,we have been well over 9 months since we filed a K 1.,.,and any help, comments, how long will it take for visa to get here from Manila, she lives in Compestela, Cebu, thank you in advance for any comments!
Hi! We have the same issue. My visa has been issued since Apr 8 and is still at the embassy until now. You can track her visa/passport here: http://supplychain.2go.com.ph/CustomerSupport/etrace/index.asp using her passport number or UID on her appointment letter. Good luck!

He didn't give me anything. He just told me that I can go home and just wait for the result. I asked him if they'll just deliver the VISA ( Because I assumed that I got approved already), then he said we'll do some internal checking and we'll just send you an email if there's any problem.
Yes, you got approved. You can start tracking your visa on their site. Do u have Fb acct? I can give u the link there, if u want.

Just got home from USEM. The interview went smooth and the American Consul even congratulated me and said that my Visa is approved. However, on the releasing section the Filipino guy said that I still need to wait for the result and that they need some internal checking. Now I'm confused. Does anyone experienced the same thing??? Thank you.
Hi Jacq! Were you given a white form at the last window and told to go home? Were you told to drop the delivery information form to window 69?

Just had my seminar earlier at CFO, all in all, it was not so bad, except for the first-come, first-serve policy.
1. Where to line up?
Spouse and Fiance/Fiancee visa applicants/holders, regardless of country of destination, will line up at the ramp area, which is at the left side when facing the building. Others will line-up at the right side.
2. What to bring?
The initial documents to be checked are: 2 Valid IDs, 2 photocopy sets of the valid IDs presented and the original and photocopy of the Marriage Certificate on security paper (only for those married). If you have the visa already, you will be given the registration form. If you don't have the visa on hand yet, you won't be given any form. Hence, if you have the visa already, best to download the form from the CFO website and fill it up to save time. Once the documents are checked, a number will be given. Have an extra ID on hand. This will be left at the guard/reception, in exchange for the queuing number/ID. IDs are color coded. Spouse/fiancee/fiance visa applicants/holders will be given pink IDs.
Bring the required documents as specified on the website. For IR/CR visa holders, you might ask if it's necessary to bring the original Immigrant Data Summary (IDS). I did not bring mine. I just presented the photocopy, the original copy was not asked.
3. What to expect?
The doors opened at around 630AM. The initial checker will review docs, will ask if fiance/fiancee or spouse, will ask country of destination.
Pink ID holders will proceed to 3rd floor for the seminar/counselling. But will wait first at the first floor for the guard's go-signal.
At the 3rd floor, a form will be given to be filled-up. It's easy to fill-up, the fields are almost the same as what's on the G325A form. Remember the maiden name of your spouse or fiancee/fiance's mother. There are other questions like how did you meet, how long have you known each other, do you have children, etc.
Your form will be reviewed along with the required documents, then your photo will be taken. Then you will be asked to proceed to the assigned seminar room.
The counselling session will begin with the review of the form submitted. Attendees who can not answer parts of the form clearly will be given a "hold" remark and might be required to attend a one-on-one session if the information needed on the form can not still be provided. As long as you know your spouse/fiancee/fiance very well, it wouldn't be a problem at all. If all is OK, you pay the fee at the first floor. Then go back to the seminar room. Once all papers are reviewed and everyone have paid already, the seminar proper will start.
I found the seminar not bad (this is coming from someone who have traveled to the US a few times). I did not find any part of the lecture as offensive. The CFO officer explained well what's domestic violence, what are the different types, where and how to register the marriage abroad (for K1 visa applicants/holders), location of the PH embassy, where to ask help if needed (cited several options aside from the PH embassy), how to find work etc. Luggage requirement and limitations were also discussed, what fees are to be paid at the airport, etc. The seminar, in my opinion, is very helpful to those who will be going out of the country for the first time, those who are young and the like. And a good refresher for those with travel experiences.
Again, attendees given a hold remark will have to go back for a one-on-one or until the required document/information is presented. Basically, I observed, those who were put on "hold" status were those who can't provide answers to mother's maiden name, exact address abroad (with zip code), exact job of the spouse/fiance/fiancee and those who were unsure of their answers.
The CFO officer shared her contact details and even her cellphone number, so those who need to come back may get in touch with her directly.
It ended at around 11:50AM. I got my passport with the CFO sticker and the certificate at around 12:30PM.
Done with my CFO thingy today and it was a nice experience as I've hoped for...It was quick and fun! We finished at around 11am... The facilitator was nice...

Thanks for sharing this! I've been hearing a lot of bad stories/experiences with this CFO thingy...I hope I'll have a good experience as well..I'll be there on Mar 25, Monday...Thanks sis! Btw, I'm also from Laguna..Santa Rosa..
How about u sis?

You will be asked about it at interview, but it shouldn't be a major issue as 6 years have passed, so it won't look like you are "shopping for a USC".
Thanks a lot! This really makes me crazy....hehe!

congratulations...
but i feel so jealous. we got approved january 22 but nvc said they dont have our case yet. we also emailed their research team but no response and still nvc has not yet receive ours yet
Dear, you may also try doing what we did. Scan your noa2 copy and send them then call them after 30 minutes and most likely you'll get your case number.
-
there kind of funny at nvc we were approved 2/7/13 and i called every day after a week past., but every time i called they said they have'nt received it. finally one person there told me to email a scan copy of my noa2. once i did that, the very next day when i called they ask me a few details about me and my fiance like name date of birth and email address, and told me they just received it and gave me our case number. u can try this if you like. just go to nvcresearch@state.gov and email a scan copy of your noa2. then call the next day, it just might pop up like mines did. like i said there kind of funny that way. good luck, and may God bless youCongratulations!!! Can I ask you a quetion? How do you know when NVC receives your case? I received my approval 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from anybody since then....called NVC but they didn't help me. Thanks!

Hello my VJ fam!
I have something to ask everyone here who knows/experienced the same thing. I am a beneficiary of an approved K1 petition but what bothers me is a previous K1 petition filed for me back in 2007. It was denied at the USCIS stage because it was over the 2-year meeting requirement. We didn't file again.
The question is, will it be an issue or a big problem during my USEM interview? I have nothing to show them with regard to that petition, not even the case/receipt number.
Please share your experience/knowledge regarding this one. Any input is welcome and is highly appreciated.
Thank you everyone...

Hi VJ peeps! I need help for question # 36 of DS 156 where it asks, " has anyone filed an immigrant petition on your behalf?" My ex filed a k1 for me in 2007 but it was denied at uscis and we didn't file again. Should I disclose it in my current case? It's just confusing 'coz it's asking for "immigrant", technically, K1 isn't an immigrant petition but an intending immigrant.
Please enlighten me with this one 'coz it confuses me. I don't want to hide anything from them.
Any input is highly appreciated. Thank you my VJ fam!

this letter is normal.
Since it's yer Petitioner's expedite request, HE has to write stuff.
Good Luck !
Thank you! I just want to let you guys know that it was me who requested for it as per my fiance's request. It was just my name on the letter, his name was not on it. I hope this won't jeopardize our case.
-
Sissies, my fiance received a letter from USCIS today but it's not NOA2, instead a letter asking why we want our case to be expedited. I was the one who called USCIS, the guy was nice enough to put that request and I thought it would be good for us. Now the letter says that we have 20 days to reply and state the reason for such a request.
Has anyone of you heard about something like this? The guy did not ask for any reason why I want the case expedited, he just created a request when I mentioned it.
Thanks sissies! I need to know if I did it the wrong way or what. Any input is appreciated.

Finally My fiancee got the visa. Happy Happy Happy !!

Hi sis! Sorry to hear your story...but don't lose heart 'coz you can still have your citizenship as per the US Law because of the abuse he did to you. DO you still remember the pamphlet given to you at teh USEM interview? There shud be some info there on what to do at times like this. Ask your friends for info on how to get help. There must be some FIL-AM group in your area and they can help you with this case. The best thing you can do now is go to a doctor and have urself checked to show some evidence of the abuse/harm done by him and obtain a copy of medical certificate indicating the dates.
Good luck my friend! God bless...
here's a link where you may find phone numbers to call and ask for help: http://www.thefilipino.com/more_filipinosinoregon.html

Does anyone know of a good travel agent to book a flight from Lagos, Nigeria to Michigan.
I am getting told by travel agents that my fiancee need a round trip ticket is that true? because of customs
Thanks so much for your help
Hi! For K1 visa holders, no need for round-trip...one way is fine.

i want my mom to be here with me when i deliver the baby, but is it possible or more possible if we will send a invitation letter stating tht i am pregnant.. I am a non US citizen, I came here with a fiance visa last year and been married for 5 months now,.. my interview is also coming this february ..can someone help me with this question in my head.. thank you all..and God bless
Hi! They were right about the ties she needs to show at the interview, however, you can also write the letter stating that you will be the one to spend for her entire trip. It's what my friend did. She wrote a letter of invitation stating that she will spend for everything. No harm in trying anyway. Good luck!
How will i find out if my visa has already been printed

You may call the USEM and ask.
