For the pictures I created an album in Powerpoint so I could enter a text box stating who was in the picture, where it was taken, and when it was taken. From this I printed out the slides 2 to a page. We did not include the boarding passes but attached the itinerary along with the passport stamps.

Filed on July 23rd and received notice that Mrs. X had her green card approved on November 6th without an interview. Her status never showed up online at the USCIS case status nor did she receive a letter stating that she was possibly in the interview wavier route (although it does not surprise us). She doesn't have the card in hand but we are glad to be done with the immigration process for the next 21 months.

Call the NVC. They will be able to update the address if it has not already been forwarded to London. If it has been forwarded to London already, you will need to contact the unit that handles Immigration visa's for the embassy.

I wanted to thank everybody for your input and answering my questions during my fiancee's immigration process. After waiting through what seemed like nearly every possible delay and unforeseen event (consulate being closed), my fiancee's flight will be departing for the US in 6 1/2 hours. As you all know, it is a trying process but I feel like we have succeeded and we should see each other in 26 hours.
For those of you still waiting, hang in there. You too can make it.
Thanks again,
G&X

The consulate is opening for normal operations again Friday. Praying her passport gets shipped Friday.

In calling the DoS, I received attitude from the the customer service representative. I asked for the last three status, timeticks and dates for each. She asked why I needed it and I responded so I could keep an accurate record of the status. She said that on May 10th the visa was issued and that is all the more she would tell me.

I think I am the epitome of Murphy's Law.. "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."

So the consulate is closed for the rest of the week... When I talked to the DoS, they say it was issued Friday and that is all they can tell me. The CGI Stanely group does not have the passport in their system so that means My fiancee's visa is issued and setting at the consulate just waiting to be sent.

My fiancee's visa was issued on May 10th and we are anxiously waiting for the passport to be returned. It seems as though the passport has not left the consulate yet... the wait continues.
If nothing else, the K-1 visa process has made me realize that when working with a government agency get used to many unexplained delays and having things out of your control.
Time line post AP
April 17th - Received email from consulate to submitt passport using the CGI Stanely group and to register on their website. Given instructions do not match the website's interface (K-1 not an option in the area that we need). I think it is a glich for the people whom interviewed and were placed on AP before March 16th.
April 21st - After multiple discussions with CGI stanely and consulate by email, we finaly figured out what needed to be done. The passport and all documents they told us were needed were delivered to the local CITIC Bank.
April 22nd - Call from regional CITIC Bank saying one document was missing. Call to CGI Stanely and we were told that it is hard to find the document and it is not clearly stated that it needs to be included.
April 23rd - Completed form forwarded to Regional CITIC Bank.
April 24th - Form added to file and entire document sent to Guangzhou.
April 30th - Documents arrived at consulate
May 8th - Status updated date changed
May 9th - Creation date changed to this date and now states Non-Immigrant Visa. Status 'Ready' and later changes back to AP.
May 10th - Issued
Currently passport still has not been delivered to CGI Stanley.

Anyone know details behind this message on the GUZ Immigration visa website?
The Immigrant Visa Unit is closed for all visa operations through May15. Please check this webpage for updates to the status of operations. Persons with interviews scheduled for May 14 or May 15 will be contacted with instructions on how to reschedule their appointments.

After 6 weeks of AP, my congressman's office informed me the consulate has issued the visa and my fiancé should be receiving confirmation by mail. Do any fellow VJ members have experience with the typical length of time it takes to have visa in hand from this point? Also is it possible to deliver and/or pick up the passport to/from the consulate in Guangzhou? Thanks in advance and I will update the timeline as soon as I have confirmation from my fiancé that the letter stating that the visa will be issued is received.

Thanks for all your assistance. We have invested significant amounts of time (and money) to this point and I would hate to mess it up or slow down the process any more due to my errors.
-
I see that the OF-169 says to only submit the DS230 and the OF 169 but I was curious because on the Guangzhou consulate website it includes the I-134 form with the Packet 3 content.
-
Does the I-134 form and supporting document of support get sent with response to packet 3 or is it just taken to the embassy when the interview is scheduled?
Thanks for the advice in advance.

I have used the USPS Express Mail International. It has a 5-7 day delivery (to China) and has a tracking number. It starts at $38. I have had good luck with this over the past 2 1/2 years.
-
Thanks for your help. Our lawyer said that we could update it with the NVC but I guess that is not correct.
-
Does anyone know how to update a fiancee address (abroad) after the petition has been sent to the NVC? We want to maker sure to get this updated so we don't slow down the packet 3 process.
Thanks in advance
I am so worried...experts or ones who experienced this, please reply :(

We moved prior to AOS and did not remember to update the address. After sending the AOS, I realized it was never updated so I called USCIS. We were told that as long as the address on the AOS form was correct, it would not be an issue. We had no problems.
