  1. Yep! He's ordering one now so once he has that he will schedule it. I sent the only original he had in with the IV package so he's getting another one but said it shouldn't take long and since they just got our AoS and IV package this week I don't think we will be delaying anything or waiting. But that's a good reminder!

  2. London schedules the interviews. I think you can book the medical so long as you have your case LDN number, as far as I understand it. And yes, they won't send you an interview date until the medical has been done and they've received the results (and, of course, the other readiness paperwork). This is the information: http://london.usemba...gov/ds2001.html

AWESOME thanks!!!!! yep we have and LND case number so he will schedule that ASAP! Love the fast reply!

  3. Hoping I'm asking this in the right place. My husband just called the London embassy and they told him he can schedule the medical whenever but that the interview would not be scheduled until after he has the medical. But I have seen based on others' timelines this seems wrong and I thought the NVC scheduled the interviews? We have everything at NVC and just waiting on case complete hoping in a week to two weeks. He is and can schedule the medical whenever but just wondering is he supposed to wait until after the case complete and we have an interview or can he go ahead and schedule it and try to get it worked into his work schedule now?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  4. I don't know, i'm just in a state of disbelief, after all the research and work I put into it, and still a checklist. sad.gif

I'll see tomorrow when they send the checklist email exactly what it says.

Keep on them!!! Call again today and if you get the same thing I'd ask to speak to a tier 2 and see if that gets you anywhere. If they want something specific whether native language or english then it needs to say that. If your wife can get the documents in BOTH languages maybe that would make them happy. Try to just breath through it. Remember you are very close now. I know that you are worried for her off time in school break, but remember you can use that as a means to ask for an earlier interview date. Never hurts to try. The fact that you are trying to time it between her semesters at school does show priority over some others I would think.

  5. I just want to give a shout out...I know we all grumble a lot and rightfully so since being away from the ones we love can make us grumpy! But today the NVC actually pulled through. At 10:30am we got our DS-3032 acceptance email. We were so excited I checked the portal 3 times during the day to see if I would get the error message which came before the AoS got invoiced but no dice. I knew it would be a couple of days but this morning I put the IV packet in my computer bag to keep with me during the week in case we got invoiced so I could mail it right out. At 4:30pm I checked my email and had something from the NVC I figured it was this "false checklist" thing and really didn't read it but thought "I'll just check the portal one more time" HOLY COW WE HAVE BEEN INVOICED! I typed to my husband on Skype. I paid that so fast and printed that cover sheet so fast...the clock was counting down. The post office closed at 6pm. When I got there she told me next day express mail ends at 5pm, BUT the last truck hadn't gotten there yet so even though they guarantee it to be there Thursday by noon she said it likely will get there tomorrow. As I pulled out of the parking lot in pulled the truck! Everything just fell into place! Sometimes we get lucky and I'm hoping you guys needing it get some of that luck too!!! Just had to share a hopeful good story. Loving all the others I'm reading too!

  6. Good luck to you! I know it's not the news you wanted to hear from them about your visa but don't give up until you and your love are together again. If it ain't worth fighting for it ain't worth having and you my dear may have a fight on your hands but that just shows how much love there is and how much it is worth having!!!!

  7. I would suggest that since you are dealing with police/legal matters that in this case you need to contact a lawyer who perhaps specializes with Dominican Republic either because he/she is from there or has dealt with similar situations. Unfortunately you are going to get embassy workers who do not know the ins and outs of his case and you need a lawyer who can help you find ways to circumnavigate documents and their system that may assist in this particular type of case. That would be what I would do in your shoes.

  8. I made it a point to call late in the evening too because as I have seen things change HOURLY there. I got my AoS invoice and emails at 8pm EST and earlier that day NOTHING. So just because you call on say your lunch break at 1pm EST doesn't mean by 11pm that things haven't changed so I always called toward the end of each business day and at day 10 after I knew they got the package I called everyday and on day 15 got the number. Everyone who I have spoken to there has been very helpful!

  9. Still waiting to be able to pay the bills...I'm still getting the "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information." message. So I still can't get the bar code pages yet until they request to take the money I will happily give them! haha Good idea on the tax transcripts to have them ready for the interview if they don't request them at the NVC before that. Thanks!

  10. I was up till 1am last night putting the final touches together and actually doing cover letters for the AoS and IV packages. All I need now is to find the address for them and wait till they are marked as paid.

I have everything (all the copies) organized and ready to ship to my husband in England too. I just have to wait for the other marriage abstract to arrive. I had 2 but one went in my I-130 and another in IV package and read that he needs an original (not photocopied) one to take for his interview. Once I get my two package to NVC mailed off and the package to him I am going to need a vacation!!! This has been exhausting since December getting all this together, but I am finally sensing the end is near! 39 days for I-130. I'm hoping for the 3 week mark for the NVC with no hiccups and then just down to London for scheduling the interview.

I'm hoping the fact I have printed versions of my taxes and co-sponsors and not the IRS tax transcripts doesn't hold anything up. I read that they prefer those but of course didn't see that until we were already to this step and I'm hoping I don't get asked to acquire those since last night when I checked looks like it would a take a couple weeks to get those and I would HATE to have to ask my co-sponsor to do anything else.

  11. I did mean the barcode cover sheet. I said my brain wasn't working! haha I called back and got the IIN and he gave me a beneficiary ID, I don't think I have seen ANYTHING about that before. Thank you for the help and I am very familiar with many of your links!!!! Thank you so much for all you do to keep them up. You make me feel completely capable of doing all this without a lawyer! I'm certainly going to read some more of your links this weekend.

  12. I can't seem to find where I go to print those out? We just got our case # tonight and hubby emailed the DS-3032 as well. I'm just trying to make sure I have everything in order. I can't find where to print them out or where I log in to pay invoices. Does that come in an email once the DS-3032 is accepted or am I expected to know where to go to find it. And since I have a case number does that also mean I have an assigned IIN too? If so I guess I need to call back and get that. I was so excited to hear we have a case number my brain has just stopped functioning.

  13. I got my NOA2 on March 4th and have been calling everyday for a week. Tonight I got the CASE #, but now it looks like I need to get the IIN so I probably have to call back. Hubby emailed the DS-3032 as soon as I got off the phone as well. I say wait a week and then start calling. It can get kinda frustrating waiting on hold for 30+ min.s and nothing but that time you call and they ask for the birth date...I started crying knowing it won't be long and won't be for you either! Good luck

  14. Let me see if I can phrase this better for my husband;

my husband and I have a debate on his address (he the beneficiary) on the I-864 form.  Since he files the DS-3032 to say all info needs to go to my address (in Ohio) do I need to put my address under part 2 or do I put his address abroad in england. Since that is where he is currently living and the DS-3032 has me listed as his agent. He thinks one way I another and we both have read it and seem to interpret it differently.

hope someone can help us. THANKS!

  15. Skipped past the interview refers to the USCIS dots that say there is an interview dot...that however is different than the NVC interview step which I think is what was confusing people. Just to let you know a time frame. I got my NOA2 on 3-4-13 and the NVC GOT MY case on 3-8-15, but said it will take about 20 days till a case number is generated. I'm not waiting and calling every other day or so. If my I-130 can get approved in 39 days then it is possible for NVC to give me a case number in under 20 days. Stay on top of them. Many people hear nothing until THEY CALL. The forum links you have been given will help give you numbers to call and the prep work to do. Get it all ready while you are waiting for the case number. Remember a large portion of the NVC speed is in your hands...how fast you mail, email, and pay is up to you! Congrats!!!!

  16. I've come to realize we must all drive these NVC people NUTS...they were not happy to hear from me asking if they have a case # for me. I got the typical "once we have processed it you will get notice in about 20 days" ya ya I know your spiel my reply "so you are not showing it in your system then yet, correct?" He did nothing but mumble his script lines. Until tomorrow NVC people rest up, I'll happily spend time EVERY evening until you finally give me a number. Hope everyone else stays positive through their waits!!!
