  1. Just now getting back to Visa Journey. Glad to see we are not alone. Applied April 10 and biometrics on 5-13-15, nothing since then. Though my husband has a friend who actually works there and has done some investigating. Apparently the sector that does these is REALLY short staffed but the supervisor my husband's friend asked said in a few weeks should be getting the 10 year card. That there were no problems just not in the system we can see, but they can. Here's hoping that's right! We have a baby coming in January-February and I need this stuff to be over with!!!

    Wish everyone the best too!!!

  2. Indeed it was a very happy day!! I'm still buzzing over how easy it was......And my visa only took three days to arrive, which was a relief!

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!! dancin5hr.gif Do you know how long he was in the Embassy in total?

    Oooo I hope my husband's only takes 3 days that would be AWESOME. I want my British husband home by the 4th of July! hehehe He was the first one called for the first window and 3rd one for the second window. He was paid and out of there by 9:15. He's still in London being a tourist with his dad so I just know bits and pieces from our few viber calls. THANK YOU!!!!

    Speedwell needs to post an update on here!!!!

    Congratulations!

    THANKS!!!!! What a great feeling this is!!!!

  3. Today is the day (well local time for hubby anyway), Interview hours away Speedwell and I have been chatting it up trying to pass the time while we wait to hear amazing news from our husbands soon!

    APPROVED !!!!! I can't tell you how overjoyed I am that this part of our visa journey is over. I was only in the Embassy for about forty mins in total, that included waiting in the long queue for the couriers to send back my passport. All in all a very successful & happy day kicking.gif

    40 min.s WOW AWESOME!!!! VERY VERY HAPPY DAY IT WAS I'm sure you are still reeling from it!!!

  4. this is the info I used

    GO TO: www.dhl.com

    clicked Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, on this page you add your search info..You change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC

    EXAMPLE:
    * Shipper´s Reference : EXP 10 MAY 2013A
    * Date range for shipment - From: 10- 05- 2013
    * Date range for shipment - To: 17-05- 2013
    Account Number - Leave this blank
    Shipment Destination: United Kingdom / You Choose your Country

    You have to mess with the dates I put EXP 06 MAY 2013A and changed the from date to the 6th as well and pretty sure that one is yours.

  5. No no I didn't mean you believe in the devil I was using an extreme to say as long as you=anyone doesn't walk in with the devil on their shirt or black panther's stuff then they should be alright I was giving extreme examples! My husband doesn't know what he believes so here's hoping they don't ask mine that question either! lol

  6. If you look on your timeline at the bottom the projected is not even until mid June and that's just a ballpark. Basically all you will get is an intern on the phone who can't do anything because it's not been long enough and that's what they will tell you. Getting the govt officials is like if you have gone NEARLY a year without NOA2. A friend of mine has beneficiary from Nigeria and it was submitted mid Sept. 12 and when she called LAST MONTH (7 months after it had been in) they did some research because she knows some people and they told her his case would not even be looked at until Aug. Try to have some patience I know it's hard and I know looking at my timeline people will say (easy for her to say) yes I know I got lucky, but I'm the exception NOT THE RULE. To go by anyone else's is silly. I know 3 people on here all have spouses in the UK...

    1. Case Complete 5-6 Interview date 6-14

    2. Case Complete 5-10 Interview date 6-12

    3. Case Complete 5-10 Interview date 6-14

    These are all in the same country sometimes there is just no rhyme or reason.

  7. I'd have him say, if they ask what religion, tell them what if any he was born into and then say since whatever age I just have many questions. I'm still growing and searching for the answers that none of us really have. I do believe in the kindness of humanity and that we all could use more of it. As far as religion I don't practice any organized religion but rather focus on helping out my fellow man. Buying a homeless man a meal, filling up someone's gas at the station who doesn't have enough money.

    All of these are things he MAY do it's not lying only evading the question. If you make the response shiny enough and don't come in with an image of the devil or a nazi symbol (I'm not going to attempt to spell that thing hahaha) then he will be fine.

  8. I know Speedwell we will have to get them together to go have a celebration pint AFTER (I pray for us both). It's technically about 2.5 pounds. He has the originals and a copy of everything so two of everything makes it seem like SO MUCH MORE! My husband is so nervous and I don't get it. I keep telling him even if it's an embarrassing answer who cares...you are moving 4,000 miles and have a VERY slim likelihood of ever seeing this person from the embassy again. Practicing might be good for him to feel more relaxed or make him more nervous! haha

    I'll have to do some searching to find the return passport thing.

  9. We have our case complete. We have our interview date. Medical is scheduled. NOW WHAT...

    Where do the packet 3 & 4 come from? Is there a place to print them offline and I've missed it? Do they send them to the beneficiary? My husband and I are debating because he said it wasn't listed in the checklist they sent that had the list of stuff to bring but when he called the embassy a month ago they told us...

    · What is the packet III and packet IV-

    packet 3-documents they want from beneficiary

    packet 4-documents they send you to fill out and bring with beneficiary

    Is there really a packet 3 or is just the 5 pounds of paper documents I shipped to him?

    Packet 4 are they gonna mail it or we print it from somewhere?

    I know back when we were considering the fiancé visa we saw there was a list of questions the petitioner fills out and then the beneficiary answers during the interview. Is this done for the spouse? If so will they contact me with all the questions?

    So close I'm just wanting to make sure I don't mess anything up now near the end. Thanks for any tips!

  10. I mailed in my IV and AOS packets together on Monday 4/22. I checked the tracking on it and it says they were delivered on Wednesday 4/24. I called NVC today and the guy (who sounded really annoyed) said it might be in the building, but it's not in the system yet and that I should wait 20 business days before calling again.

    How long has it been taking for them to 1) enter the packets into the system 2) look through both packets and determine if the case is complete?

    From what I have noticed it's been 10-12 days. they won't go into the system until after they have reviewed them. As far as the case complete if everything is there that they need then about 15-20 days you may have a case complete.

  11. Alot of people posted here that they call at mid day for example and find that their documents not in system then they call again to find that their documents were scanned , reviewed and approved. Thats wt happened to me with the Aos package . also Some ppl whose nvc received their packages after mine and their packages were reviewed .one last thing i also read documents are entered to the system once they start reviewing the package .

    Just to let you know my IV was received on 4-3-13 and just this morning I found out something else they need so time wise maybe later today or tomorrow you should know something about yours! Good luck!

  12. ok I called nvc they told me I need proof of employment but I don't have a business I just wash cars part time and im a full time student the lady told me they need a letter head how iam going to make one i dont work for a company nor even own a company? do i have to lie?

    Do you just wash people's cars or do you work part-time at an ACTUAL carwash? If at an actual carwash where you are being paid they should have a company logo/letterhead where they can write up a quick letter that says how often you work there and how much you get paid. I would not suggest making anything up, but that's just because I'm not wanting anything to jeopardize my husband coming home. You can also write a letter which states you are a full time student and working just part time. If you are not making over the 125% then your co-sponsor should have had a letter too. If you are making over the 125% then you should certainly have some company that is paying you to be able to write your letter. My boss is a psychologist and I his office manager. I wrote my own letter out printed it and he took it to a bank signed it and got it notarized. I basically did the work and he just signed it. Maybe your carwash place would let you do that too if for some reason they don't have any company letterhead.

  13. I mean if you're going to submit another form I would omit the bank acct altogether. Your salary is enough to support, right? Because a checking acct isn't really assets, since the number won't be constant. Even if you Showa current statement, will the same amount or more be there when you interview? Do you have a savings account that you can submit instead?

    I don't make enough as it is I have a co-sponsor and no savings account.
