I am so sorry you are having to go through this denial process. We had three interviews before my husband was approved, the process is a test of faith, patience and love. Political involvement is not typical as this is just they way Casablanca Consulate is. I wish you the very best and the patience needed to endure the time it takes. Time seems to move slow while waiting, but soon you will look back and see how quick time went.

It's my guess also that he was petitioned in the past by another american woman? Getting married in Morocco really isn't that difficult , you just need to be diligent and have your days planned in advance. Not sure what you meant by doing things that were morally wrong to get married, it was tiring going from city to city and different court houses but we didn't have to do anything morally wrong to get married? The consulate wants to see he's dedicated to marrying you, especially if there is a past woman from the U.S. If he doesn't marry you in Morocco, Morocco doesn't recognize your marriage.
Consulate view is, its very easy for him to return to Morocco and get married at a later date to a Moroccan woman without any repercussions in the future. Not saying he is, but they see things that way as they know the rules of the country and have seen it all when it comes to Moroccan men marrying just to get to the states.
You might have to do what they want , and get married in Morocco in order to get his visa.

The petitioner will receive the RFE via snail mail and really there is no rhyme or reason as to how quickly the RFE is processed thereafter. I've seen other folks wait 2-6 weeks to hear USCIS' decision. Make sure the RFE is answered thoroughly in order to obtain your approval. God speed with your visa journey!

Thank you for the information! Patience will have to be continued as assumed. Just would be nice if for the Holidays my husband was here. We have missed previous ones and the whole family is also praying this doesn't turn into another many months to year wait. Would be nice to celebrate the beginning of our life in one place at this time of year.

The file is being sent back with a recommendation to revoke which means one of the following will happen:
USCIS will simply reaffirm their original approval of the petition and send it back to the Embassy (via the NVC) for another interview. USCIS will agree with the recommendation and send you a Notice of Intent to Revoke (NOIR). If you receive an NOIR, the notice will specifically state the reason(s) why it was being sent; you will then have an opportunity to send a rebuttal. Your rebuttal will have to be received by the deadline stated on the notice AND it will need to address the reasons why the notice was sent. Failure to respond properly to an NOIR will result in the approval of the petition being revoked.
Secondly, a proper response to an NOIR does not guarantee reaffirmation of the original approval and reaffirmation does not guarantee a visa will ultimately be issued.

Petitions Returned to the United States
More and more this is how Morocco is handling visa petitions, and it does not matter the amount of proof of relationship you provide. We need a central place to review/share extremely important information to help ourselves and others going through this issue. Possibly even prevent this from happening to others in the future.
I will gladly create a legible, credible, and searchable compilation of all immigration guidelines surrounding petition return/revocation, research, etc. if VJ would commit to pinning this issue for us. Even if it is only in the ME/NA forum...PIN IT PLEASE?????
