I woke up this morning with the great news!!!! Both our I130(me and my son) were approved!!!! Just in time for my birthday!!!

55 days since NOA1 and faster than the processing time estimated here (end of February to mid March).

Got is in my email:

On February 6, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I hope my news gives some of us here good hope.

We did not file ABROAD. My husband's current address is in Florida.

I have a B2 tourist visa already and been traveling to the States many times with it. We are going through the process for a CR1 visa and now waiting for NOA2. Can I still travel to the US on my B2? I prepare to show them the tie I have in Thailand which is my son whom my husband also filed I130 form for. He is currently in school and cannot travel with us to visit my husband (his step father). Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

After you make an account and add your case number.. you can see when it was last updated "touched". My last update date was when it showed up online Dec 20.

That's how it should look. You can make an account and add your case # and see when it's been last "touched". As for an NOA2 ... who knows.. some people have been approved in under 60 days.. We all have our fingers crossed for this..

How can I tell if my case has been "touched"?

click on settings at your top right hand corner of the screen. then click 'profile" and select "change signature" you cld use whatever font/color you want. after u r done, click save.

Make sure you check with the embassy so there are no suprises. Ask them for a copy of the approved letter they issue for the fathers signature. This must be done in Thai and in English for submission.

Another accepted document is a court order indicating you have been granted sole custody. I dont think the divorce decree is enough.

I hope you have the proper approvals from the Bio father that are required for the child to be granted a visa.

I had a certified divorced agreement stated that I have sole custody of my son. Is that paper enough? Or should I get a letter from my son's bio father also? Thank you!

Did you get 2 NOA1s? One for each? I would think they would be joined autmatically.

I only got 1NOA1. They did cash both checks though. Should I be worried about this (1NOS1)?

We filed I 130 on Dec 6. Got NOA1 on Dec 12 via email. MSC number also and today we are just able to see our case status online!

My husband filed I 130 for me and my son (his step son) separately. We got NOA1 on Dec 12 via email. What should we do to request for both petitions to be joined and at what point should we do so? Thank you so much for any advice in advance.

Ours just showed up today. NOA1 Dec 12. Sooooo happy to see a little progress!

I got NOA1 via email on Dec 12 and am able to see my case status online today! It says they received our petition on Dec 7. That was the date when they received the package from DHL. Does that mean our petition is "touched" since Dec7? I am so happy that we can see it online now. I know we still have a long way to go but at least this is the next step. Woohoo!

Sent our application from Thailand to Phoenix lockbox via DHL on Dec 6. Got an email said "Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing." On Dec 12. So happy that our journey has begun. Waiting to check our case online in a week and will see if it works.
