The whole Naturalization process was 4 Months. Did my interview/Oath Ceremony same day at Jacksonville Florida.I had researched to see if it was same day but didnt get much info.My interview was on a saturday at 10:00 am.

I arrived 30 minutes early as stated in the letter.Lord,there were lots of people and i was No 66.took an hour to be called in.

N400 Form was reviewed and i started with the wriiten test.

Where do the congress meet ?she asked me to write congress meets at a Washington

Here comes the Civic and history test

1.Who wrote the constitution.

2.How many political parties,

3.Political Party of the president

4.Who is in charge of the military

5.One state close to Mexico ... New Mexico

6.Last day to file Tax.

Then she handed the congratulatory letter to me and said you should be having your oath today,please wait let me confirm.

I was super excited that,the whole Journey was ending that day..

Yay, Am a US Citizen.

I will have my interview in Jacksonville FL as well on august 4th. Did you know before you went into the interview that you will be eligible for the same day oath ceremony? Wow that was awesome. Hello everyone, I just got an interview notice letter. It will be on August 4th in Jacksonville. I had all my other appointments in New Orleans, never once in Jacksonville but now my interview will be in Jacksonville, FL. My address is in Niceville, FL. It's in the panhandle, near Destin and Panama city Beach. I thought it was strange before when I first got schedule for biometrics in NOLA but I had to be there 2 times already so I thought that was my field office. Can someone please update my status and also change my field office from New Orleans to Jacksonville, FL please? Thank you.

Good question. I have no idea who first created this table and defined the terms but the instruction says date letter comes in the mail. I personally think it should reflect the date when the interview is scheduled. As soon as we receive that notice it means an interview date is assigned to our case in the USCIS system. If you call USCIS customer service now, they should be able to confirm the date and time of your appointment. It is a different story when that letter is printed out and put in the mail, then arrive to your house. Not sure why would this information be relevant. Some people don't even check their mail everyday, how would they know what day the letter came? However, rule of thumb seems to be 5 weeks from the date of interview notice. If 6/30 was when you receive the status update, interview will be most likely on 8/4 or 1-2 business days after.

To give you an idea about my case. I received two interview notices. 1st interview scheduled on 5/16, letter came in mail on 5/19. That one was mailed from NBC. I got the 2nd interview scheduled on 5/17, the letter came in mail on 5/20. That one was mailed from the local field office. 3 business days for both except the fact that one was mailed from Missouri, the other from 10 miles away.

Give them couple more days (remember USPS also didn't work on 7/4) and if it still doesn't come call customer service and demand to speak with a Tier 2 next week. They are able to see the interview dates. Good luck!

Hi all, I am a bit confused about the "Int Ltr" date. Is it supposed to be the day the USCIS case status changed to "your interview was scheduled" or the day that we received the actually letter in the mailbox. If it's the latter, could someone correct my case please? I still haven't received the letter yet. Do you know how long does it usually take for the mail to arrive after the notice that interview was scheduled? It's been 7 days for me after it was changed. Thank you and good luck everyone!

Had my fingerprint done yesterday. Went in 15 minutes prior to my appointment time (2pm) and was out after 10 mins. What a pleasant experience at USCIS New Orleans, LO. Hope the rest will be as smooth. Good luck to all!

Please update my record. I received a letter for biometrics on Friday April 15th. The biometrics date is Wednesday April 27th.

I will have my 2 kids with me aged 2 & 4. Has anyone have any experiences taking the children to this appointment? I don't want to get their and be denied my entry because I have kids with me. Hey Cavemomma, if your son is under 18 and is your biological son, then to quote another here at VisaJourney, 'minor child under 18 will automatically be a US citizen when his/her parents became one. You just need to apply for Certificate of Citizenship or N600 or a passport for the child after you obtain your US citizenship.' So you would simply list him in the children section of your N400.

If he's now over 18, then that's a whole 'nother ballgame, and he'd have to apply independently.

I just came back from visiting my husband in USA for 6 weeks. That's the reason why our progress at NVC is going very slow. Now it's time to work on it as we hope to move to the States in mid June. I have everything put together (almost anyway) in order to send out the IV package tomorrow. Wish me luck! One question, should I include a letter from my ex husband saying he allows my son to migrate to USA with me with the IV package?
