We are not at our embassy's mercy. This will depend on their available slots for interview. Look at other member's timeline with the same country as you, so you'll have an idea about how long will it take

I've read some thread regarding a job change, bust most of them were CC and just waiting for their interview. I filed an I-864 and I-864A. I am using my husband's income to meet the income requirements. He will officially start his new job in two weeks. The new job has a higher salary than the previous one (the one from his I-864A), and of course way above the poverty limit. So for my questions:

Do I need to call or email NVC to notify them of the job change?
Do I need to send a new I-864 and I-864A to NVC?

Our scan date is March 1, 2017. My timeline is in my signature below.

I had a Bachelors degree before I moved here in the US. I am 33 years old and a senior student at Kelley School of Business majoring in Accounting, big difference from my previous degree. I will be studying for my CPA hopefully soon!

First, it's ok to be undecided. I changed my major 3 times while at school. So, do yourself a favor, and really think what career you really want to do before you enroll in any college/university. Once you figured that out, go to a community college for general education core, and then transfer to a university. My school partnered with a local community college, so I took all the general education core (pre-requisites) there as a guest student to save money. Your school of choice might have the same program, so ask around!

Most colleges and universities will require your HS Diploma and other prior college official transcript to be evaluated. My school required me to have my prior college to send them the official transcript. Be sure you have at least your official transcript with you.

As what KimchiLumpia said, we are not college admission counselors. Call the school you want to attend to and set up an appointment for more information.

So my case was approved on 08/11/2016. My priority date was 06/17/2016. No update on the website but I have received a mail approval notice.

Possibly but I've read on other forms with different types of forms people have had the same deal (USCIS). I'm sure they will update eventually.

I guess I just have to wait for the letter in the mail :clock: My priority date is very recent so I have a while :devil:

You have to use this site. Click menu, then home, scroll down until you see processing times (under the track category), then use the drop down for Potomac. It will redirect you to the list of all I-130s from folks just from this site from their timelines. You can see the last approved cases but it won't tell you official processing time from USCIS.

This only give me link to the USCIS website again. The dropdown doesn't have Potomac for me :crying:

Actually, i use the USCIS Case App on my phone to track hundreds of i130 cases at the same time. Just search (lookup cases) 100 cases at a time and add all the cases around yours to "my cases". I am tracking about 100 i130s from April 18-19th PD date at Potomac. You can refresh to get updated status.

Hi Sheila526! Yes,i was able to see the update online even before receiving the NOA 1.I saw the update online since i got the e mail and text message that the case was received by USCIS.

Thanks! I've tried checking them online when I received the text message and the email, but no luck, even with receiving the letter in the mail??

When I moved here in the US (year 2006), I applied and was approved for unsecured CC with Capital One ($300). I was working at the time with no credit history. Fast forward to 2016, I have an excellent credit and still with Capital One (Venture Card) and with a much higher limit. I never had problem with them. I like Capital One because of the no foreign transaction fee. Discover is the same, but is not as universally accepted as Visa.

Hi Everyone!

I just checked USCIS website and it says the petition for alien relative was approved on august 9. It's exactly 30 days after filing the petition.That was fast! I haven't received NOA 2 in the mail yet,though. Waiting for NOA 2 in the mail... Does anyone know how long does it take to hear from NVC and get the case number assigned after USCIS approved the petition?

Were you able to see the update online as soon as you received NOA1 letter in the mail? The receipt date on mine was August 5, but the receipt number provided is still not recognized in the system.

I just had my citizenship interview today and passed it, I still dont know when my oath date will be but I asked about my kids ( I have 3) officer said I should file for n600 for each of them once I got my oath certificate but I did not know it will cost me $ 600/each, how can I get them a US passport each if I dont have a certificate to show that?

When parents become naturalized U.S. citizens, their minor children with green cards gain U.S. citizenship automatically. (Children under the age of 18 cannot normally apply to become naturalized U.S. citizens.) Once you got your Naturalization certificate, you will have to apply for a US passport together with your minor children who currently live here as a Permanent Resident.

You're lucky Sheila because yours was just folded. Mine was completely damaged. No news about the replacement of my passport from DOS that the lady from the post office sent. I was very unlucky because normally the CON and the passport are not together in one package, in my case they sent it together. Talking about misfortune, now my nightmare isn't over yet, I am applying for the I-545 which is the replacement of my CON. And what if the USPS ruin it again, the saddest part is the USPS said they can't do anything about it....

Yeah, I've read it a while ago They sent my passport book first and then mailed my CON separately. Let's just hope that next time, they will take good care of it

Folded? Stapled? Ahhh...all those people should be fired!

Yeah after taking good care of my CON, it came back folded and the worst part is I have to send it back again for my minor son because they needed it. I didn't know why send it back when they already have it. I sent my son's application with mine
