  1. Hi all,

I have dual citizenship, from Mexico and USA. I was born in US but got Mexican Citizenship through my parents who were born in Mexico. The reason I did this was so that in case anything should ever happen to them, they could leave their property there to me (as US Citizens cannot own properties in Mexico). I had been dating my girlfriend in Mexico for 6 years when we decided to get married in June of 2012. Holding both citizenships, it was easiest to get married in Mexico as a Mexican citizen, so I did, so the marriage certificate states that I am a Mexican Citizen.

My concern is that the I-130 will be rejected or the process prolonged because of this even though i provided my birth certificate and a copy of my US Passport. Has anyone ever had an issue like this? Any help to ease my concern is greatly appreciated.

  2. The way I've been doing it is using my WAC # and working my way backwards (subtracting) til I get to a range of numbers that show their application has not been processed yet. If I consistently start hitting on applications that have already been processed then I go up. So far I think they are processing 7/16/12 I-130s at CSC. Don't know how accurate I am, and by no means is it a definitive date, but it's close I think.

  3. Interesting question because I'm in a similar situation. My wife and I married in June in a justice of the peace wedding and I returned back to the US while she remained in Mexico. We have never lived together although I did purchase a home for us to live in when she does finally come over. Our big wedding is in March and we got our NOA state 8/7/12. We did end up opening a joint bank account together (as I hold Mexican citizenship), and we also submitted photos, marriage certificate, and bank account statements for the last 5 years showing my card was used in Mexico. I hope this is more than enough proof.

  4. I did speak to a human (although I don't know if it was a Tier 2), and she gathered my information and told me to do the change of address online, which I did. Shortly after that I received my NOA1 in the mail to my new address and a AR-11 which I did not do because I am a US Citizen in the US.

  5. Called USCIS to inquire about the CSC timeline, they are currently working on June 13th filings for thoses interested in knowing.

    Sigh....

    Regards,

The dont know how much longer can he wait member...

Yes, I just got off the phone too! Same date June 13th, told me not to call for another 2 months. I had to wait on hold for an hour and 15 minutes just to get that answer!

  6. Nope, normal. What was wrong with it?

    This is what I have:

On August 22, 2012, the post office returned your document I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable. If you do not contact us at 1-800-375-5283 within 180 days from August 22, 2012, this document will be destroyed and you will need to file a new application with fee.

I called that same day (8/22) and filed a change of address. On 8/24 I received a copy of the NOA1 and then the re-mailed version (the original)to my updated address. I did not do the AR-11 as I am a U.S. Citizen. However, my case status has not been updated and it still says the same thing, which is worrisome. Does this mean my application is not being processed?
