  1. Just had my naturalization oath ceremony today. Now, I am just confused on what is the right way to sign the naturalization certificate? Can we sigh it the same way we sign the driver license and checks? Or we must write the same way printed on the naturalization certificate? The signature thing is confusing? I google it and got different answers. So, your inputs are greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I read some people (in other forums) saying they should give you the form at the interview and others said they mailed it. Did you call USCIS to clear this up?

Thanks. IO did not gave me a N-14 form.  IO gave me the N-652 form only. Maybe they will mail the form.

The time period they give you to respond to the RFE is from the date on the letter they send you, not the date of your interview.

They may not even RFE you and decide to approve the case instead.  IO could not make a decision during your interview because in those cases they need a supervisor to sign off on it.

Thanks for the info. Hoping for the best. But just in case UCIS need more info, any advise as to what other supporting documents to send to them?

I have been in the USA on a greencard since 2004. I applied for citizenship in Feb 2018 and had my interview today. They couldnt make a decision because my birth certificate doesnt have my name on it. It was from 1975 and has only my sex on it. I had used that and also submitted an affidavit from my father with my name and everything. Now they want my birth certificate with my name on it or a document from the local authority in India that such a document doesnt exist. Anybody else have gone through such issue? Any suggestion on getting such document? I have 1 month to respond but not sure how i can produce this document

Hi Cganesh75, I have the same situation as yours but my problem is my birth date in my BC. I had my interview done last May 7th and of course they couldn't a make decision. I have a question for you - Did the officer told you that they will send a RFE letter? They asked me to follow instructions to N-14? Did you received the N-14 form?  thanks

  5. Hi All,

Just had my citizen interview a week ago. Officer told me that she cant decide due to I've got a wrong date of birth. So, she said that I need to send request information from mail. Is UCIS is going to mail me the N-14 form?  Thanks.

  6. Hi, I plan on filing my naturalization next year ( on a 5-year residency). All paper work has been assembled and ready. But the only problem that keeps holding on is.........have not updated with changed physical address with UCIS since granted my conditional PR since 03/2006 but I still have my old mailing address. Does this affect my application? Will I have a problem with UCIS? What would I put on part 6 where it says "lived during the last 5 years? Thanks.

  7. 03/26/2006-conditional PR granted

12/05/2008-conditonal removal and got my GC

this month (dec 2012) plan on applying for naturalization

I have questions regarding N-400 form about my residence for the last 5 years-what years would I have to start to put in? Is it during CPR date granted? Or just count 5 years backward?

And then another questions that freak me out???- Is reporting changing of address is a big deal even though you don't have a pending application??? thanks. need some advice regarding this matter.
