  1. I received an email that before my fiancé goes to his visa appointment we must sign up for an account online select a courier and now pay the fee online with cc or bank transfer ... This a new system I am told with a new website for each consulates... We sign up for the account selected a courier about there is not further info on where to make payment Ughhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Can anyone help

  2. Is there a difference on the dos website between "issued" and "ready"

It's been 10 days and Naples says they still don't have our file.....

I can't seem to navigate dhl to track ... Discouraged ... So many mishandlings by the whole process .....

http://ceac.state.gov and enter your case # to see when it is "Issued" then check the dhl site to see if when the air way bill becomes available.

  3. Hi everybody.

It's true - even if your case status says : ready, it does not mean the embassy actually hase it already. My case is on "ready" almost 7 days. I contacted the embassy and that's what they replied :

    Dear Ms. Xxxxxxx:

In reference to your inquiry, we have received the electronic, but not the physical file from NVC.

After we receive the physical file, you will be contacted. Information on the process after the petition has been approved is available at http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/step3/ You can start to assemble the documents listed in the K-1 Visa

Yes I get the same reply from the Napoli consulate ... 8 days for me:(

  4. Oh no Angelina! Thanks for the heads up. I will contact the Embassy and confirm they have it. Our interview is already scheduled for August 5th. I want to make sure they have it before I make travel plans. Glad I read that, because I was going to buy plane tickets today.

I think you are all set every embassy is different ... If they made an appointment with you they must have it

You are so lucky!!! I M soooooo happy for you

  5. Yes but when you get he ready message it only means the received it .. They haven't entered it in their system yet

I got this message 8 days ago but my embassy says they still not have it :(

I got the same "Ready" status update last night! Case created on Jul 19th too. Only difference is the Updated date is July 25th.

It's good to see the early TSC family finally moving on to our Embassies :)

Yep, it shows up when case is in embassy and now my numbers look like yours.

Today status changed to READY :))

It turns out that I was assigned case number on July 19th! and now I have no idea when they sent it out to Russia. I guessed monday.

She went to medical WITHOUT knowing case number!! :)

  6. So happy for everyone!!!! There is another process with the national visa center and your embassy

You can expect another month plus if you case is sent to the national visa center for a case number... Then another 10 to reac the embassy ... Some embassy's will sent you an appointment letter letting you know where and hoe to make appointment

For example we were approved on June 17 th

I received an email saying that they haven't received our case yet and with th new system of booking appointments online w won't have an appointment until September .... So that is almost 2 and half months AFTER approval ......

    Thanks Jeannie!!

it's nice to be approved!!! The Visa In-hand is right around the corner!!! I can feel it!!! Looking forward to an amazing, fast and smooth Interview, Approval and Visa in hand ASAP!! Followed by a cheap, fast, safe flight home with my Future Husband by my side!! I say by my side... cuz he already claimed the Window Seat!! But I love him so he can have it.... This Time! ;-)

  7. NOA2 July 3. Still stuck at TSC. When will i ever get transfer to NVC.

Hang in there ....I am learning that just because you have approval the waiting stops ... So relax and accept that there s more waiting to do.

I got notice bt DOS that my file is at the consulate but the consulate doesnt hav it yey.....and they aren't going to be giving us an appointment until September because there is a new system of making appointments online. I have learned that there are two vVJer's tthat have their appointments in Napoli today and tomorrow but the were approved back in march and had to wait for this new system to kick in on July 16th .. So making appointments are back logged too (/:.......

  8. To be perfectly honest there is no such thing as taking petitions in the order that they were received ..they say that but it isn't one ... Period ..... I filed dec5 2012 ... I saw folks who filed in March 2013 get approved before me ... Once you are approved there is another month to 2 month wait before your approved petition goes the national visa center or to your embassy .for a case number .. I am almost hitting the 8th month mark with no interview date... So sit back and ride the wave be sure you and your fiancé stay strong .... It s truly a journey

    Hello VJ er's!

Trying to be patient and also keep a sense of humor during this long, sanity-testing process of obtaining a Fiance Visa. I filed the petition in April 2013. I am noticing almost daily that others are receiving their approvals even though they filed way after I did (am I just jealous?). How do "they" choose, or what is the process for approving one more quickly over another??

I thought my petition was put together "flawless" and the way its described to do on here on VJ. I thought I had an impeccable background and stood out amongst others who have flaws, or issues in their characters or backgrounds, histories etc... Not to brag, but..... I was a 3.8 student in high school and college while obtaining my bachelors degree. I served my country in the US NAVY proudly and left with a honorable discharge. I served my state and community proudly through 21 years of law enforcement, and now live on a very good pension which is more then enough to support a wife and family. I have never had a criminal background, or any form of financial difficulty such as a bad credit rating, foreclosure, bankruptcy etc... I have never been married before and have no children. I guess the worst thing on my record is a speeding ticket in my whole entire life of 54 years. And my one "SIN" in life......I hate to have to admit it.....chocolate!!! Yes, I'm going to hell for that!!

Now for my "lighter" side.....I have never been married, arrested, divorced, or stole a candy bar from Walmart. No children = no child support issues. I have never coveted my neighbors wife or daughter. I have never taken, smoked or inhaled any illegal substance. I have never owed anyone more than I have ever earned, or had enough in my bank account to pay for it. I occasionally but rarely used the words "damn" or the "F" and "B" words. I do "only" go to church once a week instead of the 7 days of the week that the majority of people go. I do vote every election and pay my taxes every year. I did have a garage sale this summer and gave my profits to a needy family instead of depositing them in my bank account. I do cut my grass and plant flowers in my yard. And, I always put out cookies and milk for Santa Claus when he visits my house on early Christmas morning. I guess I need to put out lettuce for the Easter Bunny's annual visit??

OK, you're right.....yes I have lived a boring life (ha, ha). But one thing IS for sure....I love my baby Gina in The Philippines and want to marry her! Met her on-line in September 2012, and lived with her 4 months in Cebu from December till April. I guess I'm just "venting" here, and like previously stated - "jealous" of others, and frustrated at ours not being approved. But yes, I am curious - really am, as to how others get chosen so quickly, and "out of order" over others???? I appreciate your answers and your own thoughts and concerns....fire away!!! And may God bless us all.

  9. Actually calling embassy takes you nowhere there is no live peron. I found out by another couple like us that now they sent packet via email only!!!! After you fax info then thy send a link and we schedule interview online!!!!! It's. new procedure tt tarted July 16th

Lets stay in touch....when did you get approval?

i'm on the same step as you. i really doubt they got it so soon but if anything you can call the embassy starting monday or email them next week. they are going to send packet 3 to the address you wrote for your fiance. however, i already downloaded packet 3 from the naples consulate website and filled it out. it's usually the same packet from what i have heard... the packet on their website has all the instructions and form attached.

    http://italy.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/application.html

  10. That's...confusing.

Where is the case status update from? The USCIS web site? Maybe you could take a screenshot of that, as a proof, and send them another e-mail and attach the screenshot, showing technically your case is there already. For how long has your case supposedly been at the embassy for? Is it possible the update is just on the web site but they're yet to receive your documents? Also did you get packet 3 by e-mail?

Can't think of anything else to help, hope it won't be as confusing for me when ever the time comes.

Again, good luck and let me know how it goes.

No packet 3 yet.... We did the screen shot thing and sent it Friday .. So hopefully Monday ?? It has only been "ready" for one day as maybe they haven't entered it yet in Napoli???

Thank you for your help... The waiting continues ....

Did you get a chance to choose what day you wanted your interview or did they give you a random date??

  11. http://naples.usconsulate.gov/contact.html

Or try sending them an e-mail at IVNaples@state.gov. If you're concise and they don't have too many e-mails, they may reply within 1-3 days.

    Good luck!

We get no answer with that phone... We get a response with that email but they say they don't have out case but we have a case status update that our case is ready or interview !!! What I we do?? So frustrating
  12. no 4 weeks from noa2 ....it took almost 3 weeks to get to DOS and 10 days for case number ....

    Yes

Thanks for your response. Did you get this email also before getting your case number? Well with a different date of course... On July 17, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

How long did it take after this for you to get the case number and have it shipped off? 4 weeks from the date on the status email? I appreciate your help.

Good Luck on the rest of your journey! :)
