    Letting go is never easy when YOU love someone. You're post sounds familiar wonder if she's related to my ex who did similar things; I had to remove my hand out the lions mouth (figure of speech). I agree with the others your marriage is not healthy and she sounds like she has a bag of excuses. STOP and think you are not getting younger, what's your worth? Your intuition tells you one thing but you convince yourself otherwise. You seem more that a concerned husband than controlling. You are well aware of what can happen to a person in a split second in the States. I think you may be looking for solid evidence, you may never get that. Actions speaks volume, anyone can say anything but actions dictates genuine feelings. You have feelings too and how long will you sit around and have sometime treat you this way? You must have self love and this decision may be hard but required it seems. We can give you advise but at the end of the day YOU have to decide what's right for you, and take the steps. You have doubt and hopes at the same time; life is about changes. I empathize with you but also would like to nudge you and say "you are worthy". Surround yourself with family and friends that love you their love shared with you will help you heal as you go through.

    I wish you all the best in whatever you decide, you seem like a nice guy. Another nice lady could be missing out on genuine love.

    Salaam and peace, ya'll. My fiance finally has his flight booked! We had a problem getting his son's passport from DHL. My fiance opted to pick up at the DHL headquarters but he did not realize he needed his son's birth certificate to pick up his son's package. He no longer had his son's birth certificate and in Jamaica, it takes 3 days to get a new one. sad.png He went on Tuesday to pick up and I am sooo glad I did not go ahead and buy their tickets! We firmly believe visa in hand before plans!

    So I was disappointed but we believe everything happens for the best so we are just going forward. He ordered a new birth certificate that day and it should be ready on Friday, God willing.

    Now we had a lot of issues with finding a flight because of so many itineraries not giving ample time to clear immigration at the POE. We finally opted for a straight flight from Montego Bay to Atlanta but my fiance lives in Kingston.

    He is taking the Knutsford Express on 5 am Tuesday morning and his flight leaves at 2:58 pm. So he needs to be there by 1 pm for his international flight.

    Wondering if any of you have taken that bus and if in reality you had enough time to make your flight? He doesn't have any friends in Mobay so it would be difficult for him to arrive the day before. If anyone has taken that route, please share your experiences!

    I do not have any experience with Knutsford Express. Did check them out online and the price is reasonable. Maybe someone else will chim, in the meantime I can check with my cousins in Kingston to see there feed back.

    It has the schedule as well on the website, its about 3 hours to get from Kingston to Mobay. So if he took a 7 or 7:30 depending on the day of departure he will get in with allot of time to spare.

    Hey guys

    Ill be entering the US soon just would like some info on what to expect at the port of entry. I will be entering the US at J F Kennedy NY my fiance is unable to pick me up so my aunt will do u think that will be a problem?

    Hi,

    Keep in mind the time of day you will be traveling. Few land marks as you exit the customs doorway. There is a brief walk way, then you will see the welcome / information center in front (they have a few seats) and a walkway that splits left and right of the welcome center. If you take the walkway to your left the right for those you are facing at the end of the walkway you will see along the window seats. If you choose the walkway to your right at the end to your left you will see in the far left corner signs for taxi and airport shuttle just beside the airport exit signs. You can ask for assistance at the welcome / information center, ask them if you can wait there for the person receiving you as this is your first time traveling. They usual only want people waiting if you are being received by a hotel or other means of transport. Last time I told them I was looking for information how to get to New Jersey and they left me alone. My reason for doing is I came in on red eye from KIN and the shuttle area did not open until 5:15 I believe it was.

    You will be arriving at Terminal 4 immigration/customs arrival for flights from Jamaica, other countries as well.

    Interview Timing for IR/CR1s vs K1 visas

    I here you, Just my observation but it seems USCIS gets an influx of files in the early part of the year, and noticed that people who filed May, June and July paperwork seems to be moving at a better rate than earlier filers. K1 filers from May June July getting through quick. My girlfriend husband filing IR-1/CR-1 Visa get an interview from NVC three days after they (NVC) received the request and got his visa 5 days after the interview. So many variables,

    Hello fellow vjers here i am back again you knew the story so wont dwell

    well i had my interview today at london and it went awesome

    all very friendly and most of all was APPROVED

    been a long wait and long day i can hardly keep my eyes open

    now we can finally move on and start a life together

    Was told the same, only they said sold have one by next weekend. Did the date of your status changed on 10/08 like mine did?

    I thought the change in date meant that they had scheduled an interview, but boy was I wrong. Don't know why the date changed.

    Sureshot..just checked ceac and the status update changed to todays date. I was thinking the same thing. Will check back friday.

    Department of State Transitions to DS-160 for K Visa Applications

    Effective immediately, all K visa applicants are required to complete the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. The DS-160 replaces forms DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-230.

    For K visa cases already in process at a U.S. embassy or consulate, the DS-160 is not required when, prior to October 7, 2013, one of the following situations exist:

    The K visa applicant is already scheduled for an interview.

    The K visa applicant has already been interviewed and has been requested to submit additional documentation or is pending administrative processing.

    The K visa applicant has already submitted a valid, signed, unexpired DS-156, DS-156K and/or DS-230 or received instructions to do so.

    Sureshot, really. Did you/finance have to complete this? We are on the same timeline finance aslo received something on the 4th that they received his ds-230.

    Jamaica wil not schedule interview until they receive the DS-230 as well. See below from the embassy in Kingston

    U.S. Embassy Kingston will schedule your K1 visa appointment when we receive the I-129F petition from NVC and the DS-230 form has been completed and returned. If you have not yet received instructions to complete the DS-230 form, please fill it out and email it to kingstoniv@state.gov or mail to: Attn: Immigrant Visa Unit, 142 Old Hope Rd., Kingston 6.

    Yes Sureshot53, the ds-260 was completed and the Embassy said please complete ds-230 part 1 and email back to them.
