My wife got visa in hand today Jan 18, it was issues on Jan 16, it took 48 days from 221g document submission.

and then on nov 20, they returned your passport and second 221(g) right? now your case is almost complete, waiting for desk officer review right? so you need to suubmit your passport when they will ask you do?

Mkaurd, what was your reason for administrative processing like for me its proof of ongoing relationship, they want more photos..my husband told me that now count 60 days from the day you got back your passport because if they would stamp your passport then they wouldn't give it back to me..that's my husband's assumption.

Actually me and my husband are using diff assumptions nowadays...

They asked for proof of ongoing relationship. We submitted all proofs on October 16th. However; in addition they ask for correctness of my marriage certificate which was submitted on November 6th. So, it is ongoing relationship and document verification.

I think....usually after a month they start the process. For my case, DOS said that they are working the case. After UStravel said case is now pending officer review. However; in system it will always show Admin Processing. You should ask DOS if they are currently working on case.

Also, if depends on case situations....but process it almost same for all cases.

I think anniversaries for every one on this thread will come to pass due to 221g.

I cant even wish bad things to COs @ Mumbai Consulate, b/c That will delay even more. I want to wish good for the COs but I am afraid they might get wayyy tooo excited and start slacking jobs even more.

AP in India is relatively faster than other countries....I guess we all count one day of seperation as a year....These days, my day start to check visa status.

I belive it will happen end of this month....Counslors need time off public to work on these cases.

yesterday jan 15 was my first marriage anniversary, missed my hubby :(

mkaurd, after Nov 20, 2012, did they contact you further? when you will get visa, let us know..One more thing, what's your status saying? Its Ready or Adm. processing..

After returning passport, they started working on our case by calling/interviewing my husband and verifying information. They completed their investigation by end of December and file was pending officer's final review as I learned from USTravel. However; I also kept checking with DOS. As per both sources, I should hear something within few days. My status still shows AP.

Let me share some sad news with you everyone...

Yesterday, I got mail from Ustraveldocs that your documents along with passport is ready for pick up. I then called up ustraveldocs and even chat with them and they said yes my passport is ready in kolkata for pick up. Conveyed this thing to my Hubby and he called DOS...first time he got reply, that embassy sent a mail and not email to payal..I asked my hubby, mail?? Embassy will not send me any mail, may be to OFC location and is it 221(G) letter, hubby said, she only told me that it is a letter, nothing else. I had a sleepless night and even 2 more times he called DOS and then he got reply that my case is still under adm. processing. So we both were kinda mentally prepared. Even I checked my status and it is saying Ready still but case update date updated on Jan 14, 2013.

Then today Jan 15, 2013 went to Kolkata to pick up things and I only got one 221(G) white letter along with my passport and nothing else. They didn't send my 2 albums, and other associated documents.

That letter is a simple office proforma mentioning that my case is still pending under 221(G) and it is under administrative processing and when the case will be completed, they will contact me.

The bad part is, it is becoming a financial toll for me. Because I am from Durgapur and next time for passport submission, again I have to go to Kolkata for submission and then again for pick up. Atleast they can hold my passport...It almost like 3.5 hours for me to go to kolkata.

I am at day of 44, 15 more days to complete 60 days....lets see how it goes..Not sure, how to react...doesn't feel like to cry either.....

Our passport was returned on Nov 20th 2012 with same type of letter. Since passport is not property of embassy, they can't hold the same. It is a normal procedure to return passport.

had you got any answer from embassy ..as you said its waiting for the officers review any news ....

What is your reason for Ap? mukard .and when was ur interview date .and if it is going to complete after how many days totally?

My husband and I share the first name. Due to this reason, there was an error on my marriage certificate, which didn't got caught till last moment.

My huband's interview was on October 10, 2012. He submitted all documents by November 7th 2012. It has been over 60 days. He did got call in December for further questioning. On January 2nd, I was told that admin processing has been almost completed. Now case is pending for officer's review.

My dears a new concern - i dont have a SSN yet and on the tax return forms it says enter both SSN nr . Thing is i dont think i will get it anytime soon as they sent my papers to Buffalo NY and we are in the waiting game ( we did got back to them and another guy there told us that we should wait for the SSN card in the mail in about 3 weeks , yeah right )

Now my concerns are can we still file jointly for tax returns ?

I just called DOS, they said processing is almost completed and I will hear something within few days.

However; nothing is certain, in October we were told...few days....I guess 90 days count as few days for immigration purposes.

my case changed to Janury 11th.....I don't understand to keep changing the date, if nothing needs to be done. My file is on final stage awaiting officer's review. I will visit embassy in India in February.

Hi VJ members, I am new to this forum and need your advise for my case. I married last year and I-130 (filed in April, 2012) was approved in Oct. 2012. This was my 2nd marriage. Interview for CR-1 visa was scheduled for my wife in January. But my wife no longer wants to come to U.S. and wants a divorce. First question is, how do I withdraw the application and cancel the interview?

Also, I had previously petitioned for a K-1 visa in 2009 for my first wife. I married her in the U.S. but we ended up with a divorce after one year. She had only received the conditional 2 year green card.

Will I be eligible to petition for another K1 visa, if I decide to marry someone again from India? How difficult will it be to get this K1 petition approved in the future?

Did your 1st wife got green card after 2 years?

your should be coming anyday, they count days since they receive the document, usually it is after 1 or 2 days after we submit document at OFC.

It has been 90 days today since interview...64 days for document submission.

I observed the same.....date on case change as inquiry.

I believe 221g cases are being cleared by last wednesday of each month, since embassy is close last wednesday of each month to public.

End of December, they cleared most Sep & few Oct cases. I guess end of this month, there will be Oct/Nov cases to clear.

My case was updated as well to Jan 9th 2013....I also got reply from UStravel that case is now pending officer's review. I guess they completed necessary investigation. We have submitted documents on Nov 6th 2012. Interview was on October 10, 2012....It was been 3 months....really frustrating.

I spoke to DOS....they said keep sending e-mails to ustravel....that's the only way, they look into these case and work on these cases.

Jan interview dates are all set by Jan 12-13. Feb dates will be set within 2 weeks. So, you will hear within 1-2 weeks.

I am anticipating Jan visa now....

It was phone interview.....I just called DOS. It is still under AP. It looks like that they will interview me. Interviewer said that she will call my husband again if additional information is required.
