You only need one photo, for both book and card. The card photo is digitised, yes.

My N.C. had a staple hole in the top-right corner, a couple of staple 'marks' near(ish) the centre, and an imprint of scribbling on the left side (looks like a date). All of this I can attribute to the Post Office, though; I can't see any actual creases from the passport office (well, maybe one small-y that could have been from the mailing system).

As a totally non-booksmart person, I remember being somewhat annoyed to be a single grade off the equivalent to the HSD.

Mine was 2 sentences long. I don't even think they were technically full sentences. I just used the lines that were available on the I-129 itself. Your original seems like overkill honestly.

It might depend what country the beneficiary is coming from. Just as you are sometimes advised to front-load your petition when from a higher fraud country, it may help to have more details about your meeting. Since you don't seem to have your profile/timeline set up fully it's hard say from that regard.

I sort of cringed hearing how long some of these meeting explanations are. There is no way anyone needs 6 paragraphs unless there is some extreme circumstance in play.

Ours was a number of years ago now, but exactly this, honestly, in all respects (actually I think ours was three or maybe four sentences long. Shock!). The UK is a safe country; I mean the long explanation's been typed now so it might as well be included in its entirety, but it's honestly not needed.

I'm curious to know if you know for a fact your application went to the Boston passport office and if so how do you know? I assumed that postal ones go to the national passport office in Portsmouth NH but I could be wrong. I usually am!

Hi there! With my online banking the cashed check (or cheque, for you and me) showed Boston's office in the name/information field, and although I can't offhand remember the exact address, the envelope I received with all the documents in had the specific passport office address in Boston printed on it.

I don't know whether Boston is different to many in that all my documents (book, card and naturalisation certificate) were in the same envelope, or if it was just random, but I suspect it's simply what they do; I looked in the 2015 thread and I noticed somebody else using the Boston office also had everything back on the same day. That doesn't mean they got everything in one envelope, I suppose, but it's a fair bet. In any case, they're really on the ball at that office, it seems, especially at this time of year. Makes a nice change from the immigration speed!

Not specifically aimed at the OP here, but to whomever on the internet reads this topic and is in a similar situation, just remember that 'N/A' and 'None' are two different things.

That was standard processing, really surprised me as the normal time is 4 to 6 weeks.

Well, it's the date range officially stated, but many, many people get their documents (all of them) well before that. Probably 2-3 weeks? Although I sent mine on Jan 7th, Boston received my application on the 13th and I have everything back today (16th). Non-expedited, etc.

The time of year also plays a large part, of course, and since we're post Christmas I wouldn't think there's too many people wanting passports/renewals in comparison.

Well, not only did my passport book arrive, but the passport card and Naturalisation certificate were in the same envelope. Nice! I didn't think they did that but I'm certainly not complaining.

Actually, logging into the tracking website it stated I had to re-enter the address listed (which was the correct one I wrote on the form) to verify it, in order to receive any further updates. Well alrighty then.

My check's been cashed, but I haven't looked to see if my application is trackable yet. I know I can check on the website, but what's this talk about e-mail; do they send you a number you can track if you wrote an address on the form? I haven't had that yet, if so.

Quick question, I noticed that my bio appointment notice also didn't have my social security number (it was blank); I'm certain it was correct on the N-400. Is this likely to cause a problem?

Take a look at your past Biometric letters, if you still have them. I'd be amazed if a single one features your S.S.N.; certainly, mine never have at any point since the number's been in use.

Does USPS supply the envelope/address for the application? I aim to go to the local P.O. in the next week or so, after the S.S. visit, and I don't have anything to hand.

Reddening my name as I got my certificate, although I've yet to sign it. I've still to apply for the US Passport (alongside S.S. and voting), but I might wait until next week until I look into it now, or maybe even after Christmas. We'll see; no rush!
