  1. My petition was approved at the local office in San Bernardino and it has just been sitting there from what my congressman told me. I have called USCIS multiple times over the last few months and have been rejected to speak with a tier two most times. When i have been able to speak with someone they just tell me to keep waiting. Its rediculous but the congressman said my petition should be at NVC by tomorrow.

Good luck, I hope it's there.

  2. "I was approved on march 29 and my petition still has not been recieved and NVC so i contacted my congresssmans office. He called today and said that my case is being expeditiously rushed to NVC and he is going to monitor my case to ensure that it is streamlined from this point forward since i have been going through this for a year and a half."

I was approved on March 29th too and NVC hasn't received my petition either. I have a MSC number but my husband lives in California. Do you think my petition was sent to CSC? I've called USCIS spoke to tier 2 rep who put in a request. I sent a request to my congressman last week.

How long did it take for your congressman to get back to you?

  3. My I-130 was approved on March 29th and is still not at NVC. I call them everyday. I've sent a scanned copy to research@NVC and got the standard return email that they are checking with USCIS. My husband is the petitioner and when he was here we called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 rep. He said he was unable to tell if it had left the service center yet and put in a request to have it sent. He then gave me some long a$$ confirmation number to use if I need to call back. Has anyone else received a confirmation number from USCIS? I've haven't seen it mentioned on any of the threads yet. I can't call them back because they will only talk to the petitioner and since my husband is not here anymore he can't give them permission to talk to me. My next step is to get my husband to contact his congressman. I'm so frustrated!!!

    SSN

I am Canadian and worked in the U.S. for a year on a work visa. I received a SSN which was only valid with my work visa that is now expired since I moved back to Canada 3 years ago. My husband and I are in the process of filling out the I-30 for IR-1 / CR-1 Visa. The form asks for the SSN for the relative if they have one. Should I put down the SSN I had when I worked even though it's not valid anymore or leave it blank?

    Thanks for you help.
