  1. So I'm planning to fly to the Philippines to be with my husband at his interview but I can't book my flight yet because I'm waiting on my husband's interview to be scheduled and I want my flight before December starts. We submitted the DS-260 online on September 21st and my husband emailed the supporting civil documents the same day but he received an email from NVC on wednesday, 9/25/13 that the documents should be done by mail due to the assigned consulate/US embassy in Manila doesn't participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant

Visa Electronic Processing Program so he mailed the documents on Thursday, 9/26/13 and it takes 3-5 days for the NVC to receive the documents. How long have you guys waited for the interview to be scheduled after completing and submitting the DS-260 online?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance :)

  2. Please help! My husband and I did the DS 260 online on the 21st of this month. My husband (the beneficiary) emailed the supporting documents after we completed and submitted the DS-260 online but this morning my husband received an email from NVC saying that "the principal applicant's assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General does not participate in the National Visa Center's Immigrant Visa Electronic Processing Program. Therefore all forms and documents should continue to be sent by mail." My question is, do we need to print the completed DS-260 that we submitted online and include it in the package with the supporting documents. Any response would be highly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance smile.png

  3. It's just given names of my husband and his dad, we only put the first name, we didn't include the middle name. And on his mother's surname, we put her last name before she got married (maiden name) but it's supposed to be her married name or whatever she uses now, I just learned that from here on visa journey while I was reading the forums. We were comparing the DS-260 with the DS-230 while we were doing it, that's why. On DS-230, mother's maiden is asked so that's what we put on the surname of her mother. Thank you very much too pepper438 for the information. I'll keep you guys posted what I hear from them. Thanks again :)

  4. I need help, please! I submitted my husband's DS-260 online on the 21st of this month but I noticed we made some mistakes filling it out when I reviewed it and it won't let me edit it. I called the NVC if there's any way I could resubmit it but I was told I have to wait 30 days from submission date to review the application and they will unlock for me so I could make changes but it will take another 30 days to review the application again. If by chance, the NVC approves my husband's DS-260, will it be automatically unlocked or do I have to call them? I'm also having a second thought of editing it after his visa interview is scheduled because by the time he's scheduled for interview, I will be flying to Manila to be with him at his interview. Does the US embassy in Manila have access or control over DS-260 online? Can they also unlock it for us? Any response would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance smile.png

  5. I was wondering if any of you encounters the way I do. I received my AOS invoice on september 3rd, paid the same day and mailed AOS package to NVC on september 11th, DS-261 (choice of agent and address) has been done and submitted online as instructed by NVC via email the same day I received the AOS invoice and DS-261 (september 3) as well but until now I haven't been invoiced with IV bill yet and it's already been 2 weeks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance :)

  6. I have a question regarding the applicant's residence last five years on form G-325A. My husband who is the beneficiary and is in the Philippines doesn't have any idea on how he should answer this. He was born on June 1987 in the Philippines and went to Saudi in the year 1992, studied there from grade school to high school. He came back to the Philippines (same address where he was born) for his college and never came back to Saudi.

Should he answer that question in this order: His present address in the Philippines where he was born, then his address in Saudi, then again his address in the Philippines where he was born. Would this be okay if writes 2 the same address?

1000 Dampa, Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines - From March 2004 To Present

Sari St., Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia - From November 1992 To March 2004

1000 Dampa, Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines - From June 1987 To November 1992

Please help! :help: We just wanna make sure we send the documents with the correct informations. Thank you so much...

  7. Hi there! I am filing a petition for my husband and we're both filling out Form G-325A right now and I'm needing help on these questions:

    1. My husband who is the beneficiary and is in the Philippines is trying to figure out what should he answer on the question, "Applicant's residence last five years". He was born in the Philippines and after 5 years he went to Saudi Arabia and studied there from grade school to high school and came back to the Philippines for his college, he never came back to Saudi. Between the period that he was in Saudi, would that be considered his residence as well?

    2. He's also having a difficulty answering this question, "Applicant's occupation abroad if not shown above". Abroad means where he was at outside the Philippines and that's Saudi, right? He was a student and never worked there before he came back to the Philippines so the answer is student, if i got that correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much :)
