  1. Thank you!!soon you'll have yours too...

My GC is on its way. Yay!

Wow so Im assuming the wheels are turning fast b/c I requested an expedite.

I received the notification yesterday that the card was in the mail around 6 am. Then about 5 pm they already sent me the tracking number.

I checked it this morning and the card is already en route to my residence--that was super fast but certainly not complaining!

On June 20, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

LAST NITE IT WAS ON ACCEPTANCE AND TODAY IT'S ON CARD PRODUCTION.

    NO INTERVIEW!

TODAY I RECEIVED THE APPROVAL LETTER BY MAIL.

I WILL GET MY GREEN CARD TOMORROW OR ON MONDAY!

    I FEEL SO BLESSED!

  3. .

    Good Luck!

    Thank you.

So today has been one week since I got the email/text saying that the interview letter was sent, but I have not received it yet.

For those who got the letters, someone got it over one week after they sent? I don't want to call USCIS, because they say "call us if you don't receive in 30 days", but we all know that it does not take 30 days...

    Thanks for reading my post!

Maybe you can set up an infopass & go to uscis office to ask about it?

  5. Hi everybody,

I'm joining the March 2014 Filers group as I sent my AOS package late March and received the I-797C Notice of Action on March 25.

On April 1, I received another I-797C NOA to have my biometrics taken at the Baltimore USCIS Local Office on April 28.

I went there on this date, everyhing went great and pretty fast, got my notice back stamped.

As of today, the current status of my pending application for the I-485 form (GC) is still on "Acceptance" (I guess it has still not be updated yet) and for the I-765 form (EAD) is on "Initial Review".

I hope this time frame will help some of you. I personally hope to receive my EAD Card before next month, comparing to similar time frames.

I might create a timeline signature later to make it easier to read.

    Patience is the key!

    Yes, patience is the key.

hope you will get your EAD soon.

  6. Hola! This is my first post, im excited for all those incredible stories i read here, and im living it right now too (F)

Im adjusting my status from K1 to permanent resident and i have one doubt about the papers,

I recive the K1 visa in Colombia, and travel the week after i recive it, so the question is>

can we use the same form I 864 affidavit support with the bank evidence that we used for the k1?

since i travel inmediatly after i recive the visa, the support is very recent, but i dont know if is better to ask again for the bank statements and make a new form...

    would really apreciate your help,

    Cheers!!

    Lore,

    Hello Lore,

    Welcome to the thread!

i personally didn't send the bank evidence when i filed for the adjust status. I sent only the I-864 form and the tax transcript of 2011,2012 and 2013. i didn't send the employment letter too. But I think if you want to send the bank evidence you could send what you use in K1 but i would include the latest evidence.

  7. I recently read on here that some people suggested not to write the Marital Status on the Resume, so how can I explain the name changed?

Should I use my married name or maiden name on the job application if my SSN & EAD are using my married name? (I'm confuse because my transcript from university is using my maiden name) OR Should I write both married and maiden name on the Resume?

  8. I have questions about the salary part on a job application form, the previous salary we received was in foreign currency, do we have to put the foreign currency or do we have to convert it to US currency?

What should I put in the expect salary part if this will be my first experience working in US? I don't know how much is a first time worker (substitute teacher) gets paid here.

  9. Same here ...

Hope we get good news soon too! By the way, when you have the time :time: , so I can follow it and we can be able to keep each other on track. :)

Hi, sorry for the late response, I'm barely on VJ.

My I-485 is still under "Acceptance".

I didn't receive any email or text from USCIS when they approved my EAD & AP,

and I suddenly received my EAD/AP card today.

    so yayy!

Btw, I see on your signature that you got your EAD/AP card few days ago, congratulations!
