Go to ceac.state.gov and you can check the status of your application

You guys should have a waybill number in a few days.

Yes. You can submit additional evidence at the NVC stage and take more when you have your interview.

It is not a good idea to purchase plane tickets until you have the passport and visa in hand. The date issued is not always the date it will physically be recieved. Im not sure how your consulate operates, but some consulates issue the visa and then have a delivery service pick up the passport and take it to a pick up location. This can take time. Congrats and good luck.

No you can pay it when you get to the states.

NO. Don't worry the site will say that until your case is sent out to the embassy, then it will change to in transit. When the embassy receives your case the site will change again to Ready.

Hi
everyone's case is different. My husband had his interview on Jan 21st. On the 22nd the site said he was in AP and on the 23 they issued the visa. His passport was available for pickup on the 28th. Some people go into AP and remain there for months. I hope you guys don't have to wait too long.

Start calling the NVC the end of next week and see if they received your petition. when they have it ask for your case number and invoice number. These are the numbers you will use to pay your IV and AOS bills. Congrats on your approval.

I agree with Time Travel. My husband and I are 23 years apart. The interviewing officer never asked my husband any questions about the age difference. Good Luck.
