I posted this twice accidentally. I didnt mean to do that.

I have been asked to prove a bona fide relationship. I have tons of pictures, emails, phone records etc. How do I send the information? What about the pictures? Do I paste them somewhere? I used the Acco fasteners before but I am not sure how to send such a voluminous packet.
-
How do I send all of the RFE information? I have so many emails, pictures and papers. What is the standard protocol to submit so many pictures and papers? Do I have to use acco fasteners for everything?
-
Thanks so much for all your responses. I think I understand what you guys are saying. I will put in everything possible and send it to them. I have a legit relationship. What complicates the relationship is that it was an arranged match by my parents. You are also right that the New Delhi embassy and the Mumbai embassy are difficult to deal with. The New Delhi embassy is notorious for it.

Hello,
I have attached the RFE notice. My wife was denied earlier for a K1 visa. The interview was on March 2013. We got married in June 2013. I will send all the information they are asking for below but I appreciate any advise.
Thanks,
Harry

The RFE says I got married a year after my divorce which is a red flag. I'm going to state to the USCIS that I was separated and try and get a letter from my ex. The RFE is asking for co-mingling of assets. Mine was an arranged marriage. I am going to send them everything including the kitchen sink and then they can decide what they want to do.
I will try and add her to my assets here if possible.

Hello,
I got an RFE from USCIS regarding my marriage. They do not believe it to be true inspite of the information I sent. The only reason I can think is that I did not show enough co mingling of finances. I filed the IR1/CR1 a month after getting married and did not have enough time to come to the US and add her to all my assets. She also did not have an SSN which made it harder. Anyway, I will be doing that now.
Do I have to send in original documents for an RFE? I will be sending in affidavits from people who attended the marriage.
Anyone have experience adding a spouse to bank accounts and title deeds in the US without an SSN? Please share any information that may help me.
Thanks again.
Harry

I got an RFE. The status changed on the website today after I called up the USCIS to check. I had a K1 visa rejection before and now an RFE. I am not good with paper work. I am beyond tired and frustrated with life.

Thanks, Ryan. I will wait and watch. I did submit pictures, wedding card and proof of my relationship. I don't know if it was enough. I will find out. I am waiting for a response from the USCIS California office.

Hello JA_Martinez, Thanks for your response. I am still not certain after reading your answer. I have only 1 copy of the documents such as my wife and my step daughter's birth certificates. If I send them over to the NVC, will I get them back later? It is very difficult and pain staking to get copies of documents in India. Hence my concern.
-
Is that normal though to submit evidence at NVC stage? Or should i have submitted everything I had along with the initial I-130 application?
-
I have already filed the I-130 on 2nd Aug 2013. I sent marriage pictures as relationship proof , copy of marriage certificate and other proofs as part of front loading. Now I will be sending the documents to the NVC. At what stage do I need to provide additional proof of my relationship? The NVC documents do not require any proof. When do I send the albums, receipts and stamps of travel and everything else? Or is this supposed to be shown at the consulate?
Thanks in advance,
Harry

I have read the NVC FAQ and wiki posted by Saylin . Many thanks to her. The NVC document requirements state that some documents sent can be original or certified. I plan on sending original documents since I do not have the time to certify them. Is this recommended and safe? How many other folks have sent original documents?
Also, I have filed a petition for my wife and step daughter. I assume I will be sending 2 IV packets. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance,
Harry

I filed the I-130 for my wife and step daughter on Aug 1st 2013. The case was transferred to the CSC on Jan 20th 2014. Today I saw the status below. What does it mean? Does it mean the case is tranferred to the NVC?
On March 20, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.
The case status for my step daughter has not changed.
The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I checked the New Delhi website for police clearance related to immigrant visa. It states the following below:
passport was issued more than 6 months prior to visa application is 16 years old or older 1. Passport office
2. The district police office serving the applicant's place of residenceMy wife is from Chandigarh. I can advise her to get the certificate from the passport office. Does anyone know what the process is to get a police certificate from the district police officer? My wife lives alone and I really dont' want her going to a police station by herself.
-
Thanks, Guys. My wife is from Chandigarh. I will have her check out where she can get the clearance from.

Hello,
My wife is in the New Delhi juristiction. What kind of a police clearance certificate do I need for the CR-1 visa? Is the one from the passport office sufficient? Or does my wife need to go to every police jurisdiction she has lived in the past 10 years. I am hoping I will get an answer from the CSC in a month. Can I get the PCC now?
Thanks for all your help,
Harry

I hope CSC approves with in 30 days. Any one know how long the case will be at the NVC? I did glance through the NVC FAQ but didn't see any average wait times. I'll definitely update you all when I hear something.

Thanks for your repsonse, dwheels.
L and A, my case is with USCIS. Not yet with NVC

Hello,
I filed my IR-1 visa for my wife on Aug 2nd 2013. We were married on June 2nd 2013. On Jan 29th, I got a mail from the National office saying my case would be transferred to California. The mail also stated that I should hear back from the California office in 60 days. If I do not hear back then I can call up for a status.
Does that mean I will get a decision in 60 days? Also how long will the case stay at the NVC? I have filed this after a K1 visa rejection so I am at my wits and close to losing my sanity.
What papers can I collect while I wait to hear from the NVC? Are there any August filers with decisions?
Thanks,
Harry

OK, Thanks. I guess I didnt realize there could be longer names or prior names. I should be fine. Thanks again

I am looking at some guys posting where he said he needed continuation pages for information that won't fit in the spaces provided on the I-130. What sort of information does not fit in the I-130? I am intrigued. Am I missing something? Everything seemed to fit for me. I remember when i filed a K1 and filled the I129F that I needed a separate sheet for the relationship. But I didnt see anything for the I-130. Making sure I am good before I mail my stuff.
Thanks,
DH

I will use colored cover sheet dividers. Someone said binder clips too but the metal will make the package bulky. Now I need to go buy colored sheets tomorrow.

Hello,
This is really ####### on my part but I need to know. I have various piles of proofs from my first trip, my second trip, my third trip etc. I am using acco fasteners to bundle all papers from the 1st trip. Same for 2nd trip, other proofs etc so they can be read logically. How do I separate out sections in one bundle. How can I separate the tickets, pictures in the first bundle? Should I put a stick note or something to indicate the start and end of a document ? Or is there some other construct like acco fasteners that is to be used?
Thanks,
DH
