I was asked about my wedding at my interview and indicated that we had had two events - they didn't seem bothered by it and must see it a lot as it is a means to speed up the Visa process. Be honest and it shouldn't be a problem. As your paperwork is based on your civil wedding I would start by saying you had had a civil ceremony back in April and followed this up with a religious blessing in November.

Thank you for replying - I saw your timeline a few weeks ago and hoped that you would as we seemed to be a fairly similar position! I've got everything ready so far bar a few missing vaccines which I am having done in California this week as I am now on tricare and they won't charge me £90 for them!
Does the embassy expect you to complete and send them the DS-230 form so that they can process it and then you get called forward for interview? We got expedited from the NVC after the DS3032 and AOS/I-184F stage. Just an insight from your experience would be great as I understand that each embassy/consulate may have different procedures/processing to get to the same outcome.
My husband will be deploying unaccompanied and I'll be remaining behind in California and when he returns we are going straight to Alabama. Where about will you be in Germany? I lived out there a while ago and thought it was a great country.

Hello,
I've just been informed that our case has been expedited as my husband is due to deploy soon (found out on my regular update request call to the NVC).
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this or an idea of how quickly this will happen and what the next steps will be?
All I know is that the case will be sent from the NVC to the embassy in London (we have just sent in the I-184 and the DS3032 to the NVC). I've already had my medical in London and have gathered together all the supporting documents required for the DS 230 so I am all ready for the interview but when I phoned the embassy today to get an idea of timings or next steps the person I spoke to didn't really seem to have an idea of the timings or give me an idea of what I will be required to do next for the case.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't think ours was transferred anywhere and I was never able to see it online - I just got the message about not being found at this time - until I checked yesterday evening on the off chance and there it was! So happy - I was so worried when I couldn't see it.

Just had my I-130F approved through NBC. 39 days. So excited - hope that this means other Nov filers are moving quickly through NBC as well.

We're November filers too. Fingers crossed it's not too slow.

I've literally just returned from a trip to the US visiting my husband (went last Thursday and back in this Tuesday am). The POE officers are usually fine but be honest with them - they are trained to tell who is lying to them. I didn't have any trouble this time but that may be because my I-130F had literally just been acknowledged the day I flew in. Expect a long wait depending on which is your initial POE - Chicago and LAX have been my worse experiences. Naively I even told them I was visiting my husband prior to moving over to the states (only just discovered Visa Journey and the great advice everyone has - most of which I'll be abiding by on my next trip over). Just make sure you have an ESTA to travel and your return ticket and you should be OK. And thanksgiving is great fun (I celebrated my first one last year, it's like Christmas but without the presents).

I received an email on Nov. 1st, today is the 11th business day. I enter my receipt number on the web site but its not found. Do I just need to be more patient?
I'm having the same problem with my receipt number - I only got ours back yesterday though so perhaps I am being a little impatient! Hopefully they will update their systems soon.

My interview was last friday (22nd) and I got my passport back today (28th) - for the CR1 Visa, but I am not sure if the type of visa makes any difference.
