Hi, I filed my AOS I-485 May 29. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with filing with a local office in Houston. Has anyone received an interview waiver or gone on an interview? What time fram am I looking at? I have still not received a waiver letter or an interview. The reason I am concerned is because my husband needs to travel to Cuba and I did not file AP. Now, I am considering filing AP. Thanks!

Hi, I sent my package on 05/29 via certified mail. It arrived on June 1. I received my NOA texts and emails this morning at 12:21 AM. When I logged in to check the status it said that my case is being processed at the Nebraska Service Center.

Is my husband allowed to travel on airplane to another state during his AOS processing? I am just wondering b/c technically his K-1 has expired and his paperwork will be in process. I just don't want to have any trouble because his visa status is not defined; he is out of K-1.

Hello,

I have a copy of my now husband's medical exam that he underwent for the K1 visa. I have a copy of the vaccine records as well. I cannot figure out if he needs to get a medical exam here or not b/c of the following:

1. There is no TB test documented test however, he has no class A or class B medical conditions. There is a CXR worksheet and it states there are normal findings.

2. He had 2 shots for tdap however the last one was in 2001. I think he has to have a booster every 10 years. Is this required?

Can anyone help me? I don't want to have to pay for another medical exam if we don't have to and this is really confusing. Thank you kindly for reading

Hi, my fiance is still waiting for his passport. I cannot schedule the interview at the Cuban consulate without it. The interview dates are already in December and my noa2 expires in december. Does anyone know what I should do if my interview date is after the noa2 date?

My fiance needs to schedule a time to go pick up packet 3 in Havana. Does anyone know the best time to call to get a human on the phone?? He tried literally all afternoon and when someone would pick up they would just hang up right away. Does he need an appt to pick up the packet or can he just show up and get it??

I was wondering if people could help me. My case was approved 06/24/13. It was sent to the NRC instead of NVC. Then it was sent back to USCIS. Now, they have reopened my case and "reviewing their original decision". I am nervous; as I don't know how to interpret this news. Does anyone have experience with this?

I was approved on 06/24/13. My approved app was accidentally sent to NRC instead of NVC. After contacting my senator, making an infopass appt and many service request finally it arrived back to USCIS. And now I received the below email:

My case was approved on 06/24/13. Unfortunately, USCIS VT sent it to NRC instead of NVC. I found this out last week after a very cumbersome search for help. Now, USCIS VT has requested it back from NRC. Does anyone have experience with this? How long will it take to get back to VT?

I scheduled info pass this morning. My case was sent to NRC instead of NVC. They have requested case back to VSC today and file has been pulled.

This happened because they forgot to mail it per the USCIS officer I spoke to on Friday. Hopefully I will have some answers this week as my senator is working on it and I have an infopass appt. Please pray for me

OMG H_M. I called the USCIS service center and spoke to a tier 2 rep that was actually competent. Despite them sending me a letter stating they sent it on July 12 to NVC she stated she saw on her computer screen that it was never sent. This is so insane. I pray to god it gets shipped next week.

Well, I spoke to Tier 2 rep for the billionth time this week that was actually competent and she confirmed that USCIS had not shipped my app to NVC and it is still sitting in Vermont. She said she would put in a service request. This is just absolutely ridiculous. I love how they sent me a letter stating it shipped on July 12 and it did not move at all.
