I think i saw people said, even one is retired from military, he/she still be treated with priority, well, at your case, i would prefer to not think you had been treated as this guideline apply, cause 7 months is not a short time at all, especially compared to those waited 40 or 50 days, that's truely priority~.
Anyway, Kevin&Andrea, this is your celebration time, hope you could get the interview date in 1 or 2 months!!
My Navy days are over, just regular civilian now
My case approval is all about my congressman's staff. In fact she just called me again and offered to continue to follow my case all the way through the interview. It sucks that it takes 7 months and a very dedicated person with connections to get a simple NOA2, but that's where CSC is right now.
-
Thanks for sharing this letter with people! it is emational and reasonable
exactly you mentioned DATA cases as what we are considering.
but also, you were an navy man, so somehow it should help you too.
The more i think, the more horrible i feel about our case, you are: Navy man/ young couple ( no red flag)/comunication with congressman/ even though, 7 months only to get NOA2!!!!!!
I'm really mad cause i'm at a work reason country but workless since two months ago, waiting here for this K1
-
haha, this is really a good new! congratulations~ and you gave us a positive answwer about the comunication with the congressman, we are going to write it this week, with two points: 1 similar k1 quantity workload compared to past years (don't want them just respond that they got a lot);2 even it's true, that they have a lot of DACA workload,it still unnecesarily to be the reason to delay the K1 processing time.
well, want to know your opnions about this letter.
We will send it next week , since it would complets 5.5 months next weekend, as the average time.
happy for u and your words ! positive guy!

HAPPY FOR U!~REALLY, TOO LONG, it's not easy at all.
But, i m scared too. It's such a long time, even though, untill now, those waited more than 220 days and publicated here are from VSC, not CSC, plus, sb said CSC continueing accepting DACA cases.
i m really nervious, no matter how much new work is accepting by them, they should add capability correspondenly too, not let people suffer like this.
-
but anyway, we don't know if CSC keep accepting those cases, if this is true......, don't know what to say, panic really.
-
we really don't want to make you disappointed, but after reading this
it is really difficult to maitain ourselves peaceful.we were hoping that CSC got speed up, which seems like they are taking some method to go back to the processing time, but now it seems like NO, CSC keep accepting DACA cases, which will just be more and more.
it's a cruel reality, what shall we do?
-
it's horrible for our situation now, will it help that we all write to the congressman or senator and a protest?
-
Is it really? that will be too bad
-
Really have to say congratulations, you waited such a long time,
it's incredible. Hope you have a smoothy visa journey from now!
and, also hope more good news from CSC.
...........
-
interesting, we are all from CSC
i'm really counting fingers

haha, thank u for filling your timeline .i saw your review on timeline comment before come to here! so i did a post at your space, saying that to think CSC is with Sep or Oct is too optimistic
this is what i told to my Fiance yesterday, after the workload transfer, they really just start to speed up, not like VSC, 1 month ago, so CSC are actually still with July Aug.cases, obviously, oct. Nov. Dec. Jan or even Sep.cases which had already completed the average 5 months, are priority cases due to military or other reasons, so unfortunetly, you just confirm what i was thinking, EVEN sep. done cases are with some priority, not normal cases.
i'm also concerning, the DACA started this march, so what was the reason to slow K1,2,3 cases down from last november till february? at least to January.
Anyway, thank u for your kindly and very useful words here
and of course, congratulations!
Found out NOA 2 Sent March 12. A few words based on my experience at this point and observations.
1. Processing times on USCIS or VisaJourney websites are overly optimistic. The effective implementation of the DREAM act last August is dragging things out by months. Look at the percentage of filings processed for July, August and September. They do not coincide with any estimate of processing times. When USCIS pulled my case for processing it took them 3 days to approve it.
2. If you are active duty military or even retired military (not just a veteran) be sure to let USCIS know that. With proof like a copy of your ID card. It does make a difference.
3. If you met someone on a website, don't worry about it too much. And yes, you should admit it on the petition. If the relationship looks legit, they will approve the petition.
-
Maybe they will also update the number of cases completed for January and February. We may not like the data, but it is better to know.
-
Congratulations!!!!

Thank u!
in this case, i have all translated, they should be ok
It's usually the original issuing authority that certifies an official document such as a birth cert. You won't need any further validation in Venezuela, but you will need the documents translated.
-
hahahahha, sorry, i'm not that bad, but just found here are people who has even complicated case then me
i have both those documents from china certified and translated. If the birth certificate must be from the original conuntry, then i'm ok with this paper;since you live Curacao as a resident place, so you got your police record from there, so compared to this, i should be ok with that of mine too, cause i just have china as a resident place, aboutVenezuela, although 7 years being here, i'm still just under TR-N visa here ;unmarried, the same mentioned reason. thank u for your response, i think i should be ok.
Hi! I have a similar situation having documents issued in Venezuela, Colombia and Curacao. What I did was I asked the Embassy in advance, like how to do it with my Venezuelan divorce decree, in which case I only will need a certificated copies from the Venezuelan Court. They replied timely and clearly stated that with court certified copies will be enough. I will print out that email and bring it with me to the interview, in case of further questions. With the criminal records from Curacao, they do not require any legalization and apostillebut I did it anyway, in Curacao, since the document looks to me too simple. Also, the letter with instructions they send you, will specify which documents need to be legalized and apostilled, being namely the birth certificate, which I had to apostille in Colombia (where I was born). So, my advice would be if you have doubts, send an email to the Embassy asking espeficially about the documents. I hope this can help you.
-
we agree with u, since the average timeline is 5,5 months now, we'll do the same when here would be no NOA2 by our 5,5 months.
-
hahahahahah
I hope the lack of activity the past few days means that they are all busy loading up the trucks full of DACA cases and shipping them out
-
Did not know that, but thank u for your words, cause if TSC still deal with those K1 Visa, then CSC cases people get happier, but TXC cases people would cry! thanks for pointing it out, so we all could be happier not only CSC case people
TSC hasn't processed I-129f since April 2011. They only show up on VJ because people put in the wrong service center. Moving DACA files to TSC should free up people at CSC to work on other files like I-129F. So, this should be considered good news, but we have to wait and see what happens.
-
Thank u for pointing it out
hehe, i saw it after just posted my words first time here. We both be positive, positiveeeeeeeeee..............
They didn't transfer I-129F to Texas. They transferred...
VSC did this last month and they started churning out I-129F applications at a pretty good clip. Hopefully this will happen for California now as well.
-
hey, did you see it well? they moved cases to Texas Service Center, which is even slower then CSC, so the transferred workload of others only mean CSC should have more time to do the K1, i would cry if they moved K1 cases to TSC
since they do slower even with only what they have now
, so technically it is a good new, thank u for the poster
Its useless! K1 petition is not included in this transfer..thanks for the info though
-
happy for u
,really not jealous about u, only want our's and all of others that really suffering from this separated living life could have a reasonable or just average wait time.
Hi guys. I understand that this post is going to be very discouraging for some. At the same time, I feel that my experience thus far needs to be shared. Maybe it will give some hope??
I applied for a K1 Visa for my fiance in Haiti. It was mailed on February 11th 2013, and then we recieved our NOA1 on February 20th, 2013. We just recieved our NOA2, stating that our application was approved on March 11, 2013.
I do not know why we have been so blessed. I feel unworthy of this fast pace, when I know there are so many others out there that have been waiting so long to be be with thier loved one!! Praying the interview goes as smoothly....this can't be real!!!
-
but hope they did not transfer those I129F to Texas, it is even slower there!!! could be those dream acts as Vermont.........
i just read the recent news posted on USCIS timeline, that on March 8, 2013 they transferred workload from CSC to Texas Service Center for some cases, so, I hope that they're goin to start working back to I-129F faster, double time, or multiple times.
this is the link of that news http://content.govdelivery.com/bulletins/gd/USDHSCIS-70a36d or check the USCIS FB TIMELINE.
Goodluck to us and especially the JULY FILERS including me!!!
VSC easily two months ahead of CSC at this point...

past years when here were many petition they would speed up their work as to almost 3000 per month even, so even we caculate with only 2000/month be done, considering k1 couple here are just some percentage of the total quantity, logically, we still have to see some people saying their NOA2 had been approved or whatever, well, more than what we are looking now, and all already got NOA2 of CSC comes with a observation or a comment. My opinion is, CSC is not no doing what they did, at least to k1 couple. We don´t know it is due to their new guideline of immigration or really just need more worker, i could be the volenteer if they want..............
