It's true that it take longer time this year than before, you can see those petitions of venezuela since 2012 august-november, all couples had waited more than 6 months untill NOA2, instead of not even 4 or 5 months at 2011 or the starting months of 2012. so don't worry, from now the journey will be very fast

We finally got the NOA2 (K1). We are over the top excited. She still needs to get the Buena Conduct document certified in Caracas (she cannot get a Police report, because she does not have a Cedula, staying in Venezuela under visa).

Can somebody tell me about the document process in Caracas? Is it that: 1) You go to the Ministry of Interior and Justice, what's the process there, how long will it take there;

And then: 2) that you go to Ministry of Relationships and External Affairs? What's the process there, how long will it take there. As a foreigner I’m still confused and nervous, do not know if they will certify my Buena Conducta using passport I really appreciate your help.

Btw, have several questions need your help: 1 do you remember when can we ask for the interview after the US embassy got document from NVC? will the US embassy email us to tell us that they got our document from NVC or we should send to the US embassy to ask if they got it or no?

2, an old question, but still a little bit confused. so, i ll go to Ministerio de Interior y Justicia, they will do me the legalizacion of Good Conduct, showing 2 passport copies and passport, how long will this process last? then i ll take the document legalizado by MIJ to Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores

, how long will it last for at MRE? still want to hear your expirence before i go to those Ministerios tomorrow, i m so worried to go to the dangerous downtown, do stuff with those Ministerios, long wait and variesties rules that i may not know, or they won't do this with passport.......not easy to do files things in Venezuela. There are bigger issues at stake here than just my petition or Bingo's petition. We are talking about the future of legal immigration as a whole.

If you have not followed the news lately, Obama and the Senate and trying to pass Amnesty for the 11+ million illegal immigrants in the country. If this happens, it could be like DACA times 100 with all the USCIS work that will eventually be created. We all need to be defenders of the legal immigration system because frankly the administration is paying so much attention to its new agendas it could leave the K-1 and other legal family petitions twisting in the wind. We need to fight now or the wait for K-1 visa could be drawn out to 2 or 3 years or the program eliminated all together.

i see this before, it made me tears out......so helpless, and don't know what's the date i can get USA, touch my man, since he really doesn't have so much vocation time, no mention the hotel, international flight's cost. i guess everyone here understand it very well.

USCIS really should give people a reason why did they jump july - october files, 6 months wait is not easy, and it is even horrible for those who had already waited more than 8 months.

So recently here are many Nov. & Dec. files had been approved which doesn't seem like been asked to expediate, what could be the reason?

I guess, files of Jul.Aug.Sep.Oct.had been somehow affected by the waterflood of broken plumb , so they may have to re-organize these months's files, both hardcopy and softcopy, before they can process them; and meanwhile they jump to process Nov. and Dec. files that are not been flooded to still complete some files as their task, does it make any sense? the USCIS won't tell us the reason straightly even this is true, is there sb. get a reasonable answer from congressman or senator?

1, Firstly, i shold say thank u for pointing me this issue. I modified the post at FB and VJ ( at VJ, it is the next post as a reply to my original one, cause the original one on VJ could not be edited ) , just some words spelling mistakes,did not do a real good review ;

2, I m not the USA citizen, i m just trying my best, you or whoever, probabaly can not fully understand it, but at least this post at FB show my discontent of the government's measure to legally migrating people ;

3, Knowing that there are thousands of post, no matter a perfect or a badly organized one, do you think Obama would read it? or even his assistents? but why did i still do it, cause we must try whatever we can, as the OP. Since after this amnesty, people who are at a legally migrating way are being hurted.

i just had a look of Igor's list, VSC march 25, 9 NOA2 done; meanwhile CSC 0 done. Plus, the graph bars beside the Igor list of VSC is showing they are almost done with Aug. and Sep files, meanwhile CSC graph maitain the same bars as 3 or 4 or even more months ago. I'm currently at a country where i had work, but now workless, everyday here for me is waiting this visa, but the truth is just making me hopeless day by day, almost want to do a protest, anger and despression.

Now, i probabaly will transfer it to china,buy the ticket to come back to china. feel so ....don't know how to say, it's too stressful and screwed up, how could the government let people suffer like this, they should add the capability of dueing with more work not delay and make others suffer so much.

VSC: you may mean K3, k1 is with 5 months in the updated report,actually it seems like 6 months cause they are speeding up not yet catched the goal procesing time, and you said you are of VSC, so you better be happy, cause for us, those CSC, we can just see July 18th in both K1 or K3, nothing had been updated ! we can see it from people's NOA2 post here too, the majority are from VSC, and they just publicate they got NOA2; but those fewer from CSC posted always with some comments, even though, NOA2 after 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 months from NOA1...really, it is , WHAT'S THE HELL WITH CSC.

My case is similar to yours! We got our NOA1 on Aug 11, 2012 and a RFE on Feb 20, 2013. We got the hard copy of the RFE on Feb 24, telling us we missing my intent to marry letter So we have sent it out on Feb 26~ Waiting for almost a month... and we still do not have any feedback... feeling so nervous now!!!!!!

In your case, how many days does it take between the NOA2 and the RFE?

This is too sad..... CSC 574 done while VSC 4439 done in January.even in the past, the lowest June for VSC it was more than 1000 fils done compared to CSC the lowest file done at Dec. just 400 some files done........

We did not do it quite often since they won't give you more info than what one can get from website, but you just confirm again that the service centre is really limited to help us.

We didn't do something like that but we filed some service requests before. We called customer service almost everyday and most of the calls were full of frustrations and disappointments. We argued a lot with the representatives and tier 2s because all they tell us is to wait and that they can't do anything. We never received any correspondence from the service requests that we filed. One time, a tier 2 told us that he will look into our case and will give my fiance a call the following morning but he never did call. When we call the next day and searched for that person, the representative that we spoke with said that there is no tier 2 with that name there. They were of no help to us. We just waited and became really patient. Prayers, for me, helped a lot! You will get your NOA2 when you least expect it. Good luck to everyone.

It is a little bit funny thinking about the posible"fight" or discution in the future between two,which is normal,since very few couple never discuss in the whole life; but we are so eager to be togather now.

When i did this i told my fiance meanwhile : " well, even though, i´m happy, thinking at least i have sb to "fight" with in front of me"

We have to be cool with it. We cant change it.... What CAN we do. It doesnt help to be negative. If we wanted to change...how do we?

All I know is when I look into my fiances eyes when we facetime everyday...and I start to cry or get sad that it feels like forever that we will be together... he looks at me clamly and says.....I love you...we will be together soon....stay calm and when we are together this journey will be the past" I am then filled with an appreciation that if my fiance can stay calm and strong during THIS process...the rest of our lives will be great because we can handle ANYTHING!!!!
