I got my biometrics within 3 weeks of receipt date as well
-
Removal of Condition and Naturalization are two separate processes and can be done simultanously. And yes, it is really expensive to do anything with USCIS these days. Maybe their way of "natural selection": only richers can be in the US now
-
I had the same message as cacciatore3 for a while and just a few minutes ago I got my email that says my card was ordered. I sent my stuff on 5/2 so hang in there guys, it is coming along.
-
Hooray, another VSC success. I just got the email that my card was ordered...
Alright, transferring files seems to have worked!!!
-
you should be fine. Make sure you take your NOA1 with you just in case, because sometimes some people like to cause us trouble for no reason. I travelled with my green card barely still valid and it worked out just fine (I think I had 1-2 weeks till expiration)
-
I checked my status and the message changed. It said that my case was sent to a USCIS office for approval. ??? That's where it was since May, a USCIS office.
-
I never received a confirmation for my AR-11, but my hubbie (the US citizen) got a confirmation for his change of address. All my stuff came to the new address though. You can call USCIS and check that it got changed.

oh forgot...
Refills....co-signing on what's been said already
Pancakes/pancake mix.....where I'm from pancakes are big thin and you cover them with chocolate spread, sugar, ice cream or jam. Certainly not butter and syrup, and what's with throwing fruit in there?? And whatever happened to flower, eggs and milk. Leave it to americans to make pancakes from a box.
The Pancakes....yes yes yes....here they call them Crepes although they aren't the traditional crepes, more like our Pancakes.
Now I want pancakes...not the American kind...

Also, tax added to the price posted. Can't stand it. You never know how much stuff actually is unless you shop with a calculator, know all the different % of tax for different stuff or are a math genius...

well there are just amazing things here in the US.
one thing that bugs me is that in every store I am a different size. Some stores really vanity size and I'm like a 3. Others I'm a 6. Especially pants I cannot buy without trying them on first.
Not having the metric system throws me off...the system here makes no sense at all. 12 inches in a foot? why not 100 cm in a meter instead? Much easier. Also, Fahrenheit...I can't figure it out
How about fried food (in the south). If you get fish at a restaurant, there is more breading than fish on it.
Also, vegetables at the supermarket...not so fresh sometimes...my fruit goes bad after 1 1/2 days every time.
Fake friendliness...my biggest issue. Everyone seems so nice at first and "oh my gosh, we need to hang out sometime" but never mean it. If I say let's do something I mean it...Grrrr....drives me nuts

you should be just fine with those two things. If you wanna be even safer (which is usually unnecessary) you can do infopass and get a stamp in your passport so you don't have to carry the dang letter with you
-
congrats, you did it under a year!!!
-
ditto, unfortunatley a change in date doesn't mean anything at all. Some people never get touched, some get touched 100 times but the outcome is the same...
-
I wrote one as well. But it is true that if you are applying for mulitple people you may wanna send some separate checks for their biometrics.
-
we used our dog's akc papers and we were both on the vet bills and stuff. Did you file taxes together? That's a big one.
Any bills in both your names and mail addressed to both of you. If your driver's licenses show the same address, that's good, too. Insurance policy is a good one, and so is the lease. Anything with both your names on it really. We didn't have any bills together, but some were in my name some in his to the same address so we submitted that.
-
YAAAAAYYY!!!!!!!!
-
I guess your wishful thinking got the better of you there....I almost believed you, too. LOL
-
the funny thing is that there's always some issue whenever I file and it takes forever...some stuff always seems to happen right around that time...
-
With the laws as they are here in Oklahoma, I'd rather have them on me. Between my documents and my medicine I carry with me, my purse doesn't travel far from me.
IMHO, the law is the law, whether it may be inconvenient or not.
I absolutely agree. Here in OK you better have your GC with you...they are crazy bout that stuff here.
-
Thanks, it was actually true that the biometrics # worked and was different than the other on the NOA.
Thanks for the clear-up
-
I already went to my biometrics appointment in May...I'll have to check if that letter has a different number on it I guess...
-
could you please add me to the list?
Germangel:
sent to TSC: 5/2/08
Biometrics 5/27/08
5/21/08 NOA 1 from VSC
However, I cannot check my status online. It always says that my receipt number is not on file. Is that pretty common with this type of application? I know I had some probs with that stuff with my I-130 originally.
Thanks!
Angel
