  1. Good evening all!

I am still waiting for my NOA2, but am being proactive and preparing packet 3!

Some lists show yes to the DS160, others say you don't need it. Do i?

I am with the Montreal Embassy.

    Let me know! :)

  2. A passport stamp IS enough. It is perfectly fine. That's what they want. They can't take a trip now. It won't count. People who are used to seeing eachother aren't used to "documenting" everything. They just live their life like normal people.

This is exactly where we stand! we didn't even think to save receipts, take pictures in front of specific landmarks etc etc!

Thanks for your advice. I have sent very well documents bank statements and some more dated pictures. Hoping that will be sufficient! I believe any proof that we take now will be too late, as it is not before the date we sent first package.

Will just hope and believe everything will work out now!

Passports do NOT show that two met in person; theyONLY establish that they were in the same country. You need addl evidence to establish the meeting.

All this requirement is well documented and the OP should have known that thru didn't have enough when they filed. Since they saw each other every day or so they had s false sense ; obviously since USCIS sent them an RFE.

We thought for sure we had enough evidence, as well copied my friends package identicly! They also were going from Canada to the USA and drove back and forth! we got the RFE, they didn't at all. Common sense was also used.

let's not lose sight of what this thread is about. passport stamps aren't even an issue, as per the content of the op. please focus on helping the op with the situation.

  3. Your bank statements showing purchases in Canada are JUST FINE.

I don't know what this other nonsense is about.

You can prove with those statements that Person American was in Country Canada buying stuff. Proof you were there. Done.

You didn't send this with your initial packet, did you?

Send it now; it's all set. Opera tickets don't have names on them anyway :S

You have given me a feeling of relief. Correct, we did not have this in our original package. I thought already it showed a lot of evidence, especially sine these bank statements show our addresses and multiple different proofs of us purchasing stuff in each other's country! awesome awesome.. going in the mail in an hour!

  4. NO, you need better evidence. It should be easy to purposefully generate evidence but you needed to have that prior to the filing.

If you have nothing, then you may have to withdraw the petition, generate the evidence and then re-file (with new fee attached).

What can you suggest for better evidence?

    We did pictures with dates

passport all pages (no stamps because we didn't fly)

bank statements from both him and i.. many of them showing multiple purchases per month.

    some cards

  5. Anyone can print a Mapquest route so that will carry zero weight. I will suggest this, do you have any receipts from any purchases made while you we're together during the weekends you spent together?

We are foolish, and did not save any! only thing is our bank statements. They are LOADED with purchase proof! Gas-lots, food, clothing, movies etc etc.

  6. Good Morning! Happy Tuesday!

We got our Hard Copy RFE back, and it is asking for more proof that we have seen each other in the past 2 years. It gives examples such as airline tickets, stamps in passport etc. Me and my Fiance live 300 miles apart from each other. we see each other every weekend, but drive it. When we cross over the border, we do not get a stamp in our passports as we are not flying. Both him and I have printed off our bank statements for the past 2 years.. and have highlighted all purchases made, him in Canada and me in the USA. We also attached a letter explaining that we life only 300 miles apart and drive back and forth, along with a mapquest showing the route we take. Do you guys think this will be sufficient?

Also: in our original package we included pictures of us with dates on the back.

    Let me know!

  7. When i called, they transferred me to tier 2. These people said to take the RFE with a grain of salt.. and most likely i hadn't even received an RFE. Then when i called again, they took way more information and are promising a call back. I am not sure what that all means though!

  8. I have this very same issue! I am on the same date as you, 10/18/2012. My RFE date was May 2nd. I have not seen anything in hard copy yet. In fact, when i log onto USCIS and put in my reciept number, is shows no information at all concerning our case! I have contacted USCIS twice now. The 2nd time they asked much more questions and are going to call us back in 3-5 days with more information on what is going on. It is really weird that our cases are so similar and have the same problems happening to them!

  9. We have been waiting for 13 days now.. and when i logged onto the USCIS website yesterday, everything on the account was wiped away.. so I don't even know where i sit with our case anymore. It doesn't show a RFE anymore, it doesn't show initial review, it doesn't show accepted.. it is just blank-and that USCIS has no information on our case currently. SOO depressing. When my fiance called them yesterday.. the officer said to take a RFE with a grain of salt. Sometimes they issue them and then cancel them without even sending. WHO knows! Good luck. Thinking about you!

  10. So! Today I open up the USCIS website, put my receipt number in and read this,

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information

My heart immediately dropped! ON My 2nd we got issued an RFE and have been waiting since for the hard copy in the mail and have not received it yet. (12 days). I called USCIS, and got transferred to an immigration officer. He said to take the RFE with a grain of salt, and that i most likely won't even be receiving it.. and just to wait. I am freaking though! The website shows NOTHING about my case anymore. None of the 'circles' are highlighted to show where my case status is even at. What do you all think? Has anyone ever had this before?

  11. I got my NOA1 on October 10 so they are getting to it soon I hope? I'm pretty sure they scan everything so I don't think the water would make a difference, I could be wrong though.:) PS: Where is Igor's list at on this site?

On the top you will see Immigration Timelines. Then you can click on the Igor List in that window! hope that helps you!

  12. Congratulations. I am a little confused though, your timeline shows you applied in October (as you stated above) but then it says you got your NOA1 April 18. I think you need to double check your timeline. If you got your NOA2 tonight, you should have an NOA1 date of sometime in October and an NOA2 date in April.

Oh-i never got accepted! i just see someone on the igor list did! looks like i do have my information in there wrong though! i will go and fix!

  13. I know it seems like it's easy for me to say this, because I'm not in your situation, but honestly, I think you are not too much longer (october filers) before your applications start to be approved.

I think the initial run of November, December filers was an aberration. They went out like crazy for a little bit, then they got back to doing the earlier filers. As they get through the August/July/September filers, I'd be very surprised if we don't start seeing October filers.

USCIS has tested a lot of people's patience this year by delaying I-129F filers in lieu of DACA filers. I do hope they keep up their current pace, and can start getting to October Filers in a few weeks.

YOu are right! 1 got accepted tonight!

    eek! :)

  14. Thank you so much everyone! looks like it should really be a problem!

I know what you all mean on the dates-we have let all our planning places know the situation-and are hoping they will co-operate with us just in case!

I have given myself quite a large span however if things do get delayed!.. we sent our first form away in September-the wedding is August 30th-so almost a year!

Hoping!-my friend just did it, it took her a total of 8 months-start to finish-exact same process.

  15. Good Afternoon.

I am working on my immigration and have a question. We are doing the K1-Visa. Our wedding date is August 30, 2013-so i think my time frame is perfect.

two questions in concerns to this- we are planning a honeymoon to the Virgin Islands. These are owned by the USA-i can still go here right? Also: how long before i can travel back into Canada? Any feedback would be awesome! i do not want to jeopardize my VISA process once I have permission to get married and be in the USA!

    Thanks! =)
