    TOEFL exam due on Dec 7 at 9am… Please pray for me.. I hope I'd pass that! Meanwhile…it's been rainy here in Las Vegas.. It's soooo cold to go outside!!

      I agree with you… Now I appreciate being in Singapore, after finding out its too lonely out here especially in my situation that I have no income and I can't drive where I wanna go.. I am even very scared to jog alone here, not feeling safe enough.. While in Singapore, things are much easier…

      Thank you Apalis… It was very unfortunate of what happened back in Phils… the whole country has felt the devastating blow of Haiyan, even my hometown Batangas.. But thankfully our place was not as bad as that of Tacloban… If I already have a job here in US, I would have donated for my fellowmen… =(

      not yet for the driving license.. I understand I have to study 2handbooks about it and for now my priority is to pass my english exam first, so I can complete the requirements for nurse licensure exam.. I guess I'll take the driving license test after Im done and passed those 2 exams.. which state are u at again? do I have to apply for a state ID also? I guess it comes with the driving license here..

    Hi Leizz, just saw your conversation with Apalis. Just curious, since you've already got your SSN, you can still apply for job without the green card right? Because during port of entry, the officer told me green card gonna take 6-10 months to arrive. Oh well. Btw, can I check my green card status on USCIS ELIS website? Thanks! I'm pretty bored at home too, don't have driver license yet, still waiting for my SSN. GOVERNMEBT shutdown sucks.

      Hi wbogard... Yes, it is written in the SSN that we are eligible to apply for work.. Your US Visa will serve as your "green card" while the card hasnt arrived in the mail yet... But dont worry... Mine took 3weeks and now its finally here.. Goodluck to your job hunting! =)

      Just the very same situation here! I cant go anywhere and I have to wait til my hubby comes back from work... By the way, I already received my green card, exactly 3weeks after my arrival (Sept20)... Few days before that I actually logged back into ELIS just to check that my payment went through.. I saw from there they have acknowledge my US entry and is processing it since Oct5.. Did you wife received hers already?

      im also a bit bored here because Im home most of the time and my husband has to work.. My greencard also hasn't arrived yet.. I was wondering actually how come my husband's cousin (spousal petition) who came here last July, received his greencard shortly after he paid for it online? He forgot to pay for it before he came here so he paid for it when he was here and within one week it was sent to him... =(

    Hi Leizz, I was reading the interview review from another vj member, she mentioned that on her interview, she was asked for an Ongoing Salary Certificate of her husband (sponsor). I wanted to know if you prepared Ongoing Salary Certificate (I guess it's kinda like employment letter) from your husband for the interview? I only have joint sponsor's IRS transcripts and pay subs. Thanks!

      Nope.. I didnt know about it, and I didnt have it with me during the interview.. so far the consulate never asked me for it.. Maybe its because my husband submitted the w2 of his joint sponsor also..

    Tendered my resignation from my work here in SG.. After 5 long years, now its time to leave for good!! My hubby and I cant contain our happiness... Thank you Lord!! =)

      nope...they didnt email me... or maybe thats because I chose it to be delivered, not picked up... Anyway, I had the interview in June 12 and I received the visa on June 18th... How's everything?
