    do i need to register online

    Hello VJer's,

    Hope all is well with everyones journey... I do have a question... my fiance received packet 3.5 from Haiti messenger back in December as we are gathering all documents I want to make sure I DO NOT have to register online for an interview appointment with the US Embassy in Haiti?? I have seen that in a few places on VJ and the USCIS website. If I need to register for an interview date how do I do that? please help!!!

    Hi VJer's!!!

    My fiance recieved Packet 3 at his house in Haiti on 12/12/12. But we are having difficulty getting his passport (things are alot more difficult in Haiti). How long do we have to send in packet 3 to the consular? Is there a deadline for this? Will our approval from USCIS expire?

    It is basically telling you that your fiance will need his or her birth certificate, and that can be obtained from the Haitian Nationa Archives.

    is it the same birth certificate that we had to send into the USCIS with the I-129f packet? Or a different form of certificate?

    and what is

    Excerpt from the National Archives of the Act of Birth of the Guarantor??? Is that me? or someone else??

    Are they just asking from my birth certifcate?

    Hello VJ!!!

    My fiance received his packet 3 in the mail in Haiti at his home on January 14, 2013. In the contents of the packet they are requesting from him that he include when returning the packet to Haiti messenger

    “Excerpt from the National Archives of the Act of Birth of the Applicant”

    “Excerpt from the National Archives of the Act of Birth of the Guarantor” Can you please explain to me what this is? Is it just a Birth Certificate? Or is ti some other documents? what is the Guarantor??? This is the first I have seen this request in this whole process.

    Haiti.. waiting for a passport renewal

    Hey,

    I have a question. We have hit a road block in our process....we recieved our NOA2 on 12/12/12 and my fiance who is from Haiti his passport expired in Dec so he applied for a new passport on November 19. He explained to them that he needed to get it quickly so we could move on with our exam and interview. But he still has not recieved it. He calls everyday asking if its ready and the man he speaks to says they are still working on it and that man says he will talk to the director and see if they can do anything but still no answers and I feel like were just getting the run around. Now the man has asked for my fiances receipt and of course we gave it to him but we still dont have any answers on when the passport will be ready and why they needed the reciept.....

    What can I do?? Is this typical for Haiti passports? He got a new passport pic and everything we needed for a new passport.. but its just taking so long. I was hoping to get him here by end of February so we could get married March 2nd but I just feel so discouraged now.

    Any advice will help.

    ok I got the case number and emailed the US Embassey in Haiti and this is what I said and this is what I got in reply PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!.......

    When I emaIled i was very specific with my request and gave all ouR info and birthdates, case numbers etc....

    Telephone call to the USCIS

    in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

    hey all!!!!

    on the USCIS website it states that ALL Haiti petitions are expidited. So I called 2 weeks ago to USCIS to see if it was possible. I was of course told that if the website said that then thats what will happen and that was all... I was left feeling uncertain of the truth... so I waited and called back a week later.. talked to someone asked again if it would be expidited and they said they would transfer me to the correct department for that.. which is not what happened the time before that. I waited on the phone for over 45 minutes and no one picked up so I let it go AGAIN. Then today I called again and got a really sweet woman who was willing to help.. she put in an expidite request to the california service center and gave me a referral confirmation number. She said I will have an answer in 5 buisness days on weather or not the expidite was accepted or not.

    Just want to know what my chances are of getting this expidite approved. If they deny it should I send another request or should I leave it alone. I dont want to upset anyone I just want him out of Haiti its so bad over there and so much danger.

    Any help or advice?!?!?!

    I just sent my I-129F on 10/22/12.. it will be delivered on Thursday 10/25/12 with a signed receipt. I included everything.. dated all the pics with names and places.. airline tickets.. emails... I also included 2 letters from people who know us both.. everything they asked for I sent plus more... but I see on here that it can be expidited.. does that speed things up? I know its wishful thinking but I really would like him here before March so we can be Married March 24th.. do they ever get approved that fast? Any advise would help!!

    We have been together for almost 2 years and Im missing him so much its so hard to be apart. I travel to Haiti every other month to see him and the family but its getting so expensive...and I cannot keep leaving work Iv run out of vacation time :( .... ok thanks I needed to vent.... any advise please!!!!
