  1. I posted the other day how my wife went to the interview and they sent her home without her passport without approving or disapproving her case telling her she needs a 2nd joint sponsor to approve her case and when she gets approved they will send her visa with her passport back to her. Now my question is, on the paper it's requesting the joint sponsor needs to provide copy of his federal tax return (1040) and copy of his income tax. Does it have to be an official tax transcript from the IRS or is it just the 1040 he filed with this tax guy, a copy of that? and a copy of his income tax return from whatever source of income it was? need help, pretty confused on this part...

  2. My father (Joint Sponsor) is retired, didn't do his taxes for 2012 until I asked him to for the visa process. He went and did it and the tax lady didn't file right. So the papers he sent showed a quarter of what he makes. Well good thing my dad caught that and they filed an Amended tax return to fix the mistake. Waited for the Amended tax return to kick in and got the new Tax Transcript. My father mailed that to me, I gave it to my wife to give it to the interviewer and she did give it to them to show the proof of how much he makes. He makes 31000 dollars a year retired. The interviewer told her he doesn't make enough to support her my daughter and me. I'm in Egypt for the past 2 years studying so I really don't have a job. When I go back I'll start to work. That's pretty much about it. I don't know..

  3. Hello, My wife went to her interview today and all well went except they told her she needs another joint sponsor because the orginal joint sponsor doesn't make enough. They kept her passport, and told her to have 2nd joint sponsor send in a affidavit of support and tax federal tax returns, they will review it and send in her visa DHL along with her passport. The thing is they accepted everything, that its mutual and everything except it came down to that point of joint sponsor and kept her passport instead of giving it back to her. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? Does this mean they denied her? I'm pretty lost because they wouldn't let me in the interview with her and she really couldn't explain in details what was said and needed except they need a 2nd joint sponsor.

  4. I have orginal and translated documents showing we rent a house together, my wife and I. I have Proof we just bought a house together with my name and her name on it and translated. I have proof that we just had a new born girl with certified birth certificate and translations that have my name and my wifes name on it, as well as having proof I gave her the citizenship (Consular Birth Report Abroad) and made her a US passport that has my name and my wifes name on it. I have about 20 pictures together in different locations like honey moon, restuarants, day we got married but nothing formal. Is that enough proof?

  5. A baby is NOT proof of a real marriage... Look at the list of proofs (like stubs, chat logs, visits, receipts, co-mingling finances etc... ) if the co sponsor is not accepted you will get a chance. To submit another...

how is baby not proof of real marriage???? your saying a marriage could be fake to the point we would even have a baby??? i guess so. I have no proof that our marriage is real except our baby who we just got a consular report of birth abroad and passport. her birth certificate has my name and my wifes name on it as the father and mother... i dont know what more proof can you have???

  6. I have a question, What are some reasons why an interview can be rejected?

We got married a year ago and just recently had a new born girl with proof so that should be enough this marriage is mutual and real.

what about financial support if they rejected the interview due to financial support what would happen next? if it was rejected do we have to start the whole process all over again? or do we just find a new joint sponsor that woud get her approved(since i have my uncle on hand just incase)

just really nervous because im leaving my wife and daughter to get back to work and just hoping for the best, expecting the worse.

  7. Im the father of the new born child and I hold the United States citizenship. I will give my Daughter the citizenship. I have never been previously married except my wife (Not a US Citizen) was married before. Do I have to bring a divorce decree of her previous marriage even though shes not the one transferring citizenship. What if the Official Marriage contract shows that she had a divorce once before and date of the divorce. Is that enough? I have an official transcript of my school records along with some School ID cards. My passport, My wife's and I marriage contract and her passport as well. Is that all enough?

  8. Its 2 scenarios, she might be misdiagnosed since we have a family member whos a doctor here and he wants to check her out thinking the diagnosis was wrong ( 1 scenario )

2nd scenario if she does need surgery we are just going to operate it here through him whos qualified in that field. Now I don't have insurance in the states and I don't want the interview to be denied. So that being said, I did send in the expedited request yesterday. Should I call them up on monday and just cancel it or will they send it anyways to the embassy and if they are going to already, What would I do at the embassy, just bring proof either she was misdiagnosed or if she does the surgery, get proof of that? I don't want to go to the embassy and they say will you request was expedited and you don't need it to be expedite anymore so it backlashes which is why I say will it be of any good if I just call and cancel.

  9. If she does the surgery here, and she prooves it yet the already expedited her request. She goes to the interview and she shows them proof, what will they do at the interview? give her another interview date since she already had surgery, or do we just call NVC and tell them to either cancel the request or tell them she already got an interview.

It's very possible for someone to get diagnosis, get worried and send in a request then later on find out the diagnosis is wrong, its very possible. so how would that backlash???? KDH you toying with me or something, sorry no offense
