  1. Please help...My husbands interview is on the 28th (Yeah!!) and we seen where you had to register with DHL but it is kind of confusing.....he went online, entered all information and at the end it told him he was registered for information purposes only no interview was scheduled at this time??? Did we do something wrong?

    Thank you in advance

  2. You did it right, don't worry! You can use either cover sheet. No matter what, it'll always end up in the right department.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much! I have been calling NVC between each step to make sure I was doing everything ok so I was just a little worried, we are so close did not want to mess up now.

  3. I just received an email from NVC with a cover sheet to include with DS230, I already sent it with the cover sheet off the Online Payment website...the address is the same except Attn to CMR online and the email says Attn DR...did I do something wrong? I called and they said yes to use the cover sheet online...now I am not sure. Thank you for your assistance!

  4. :help:

Anyone have suggestions on the best/cheapest way to call Jamaica and Jamaica call U.S.? I have been using Tel3 an internet credit service to put on my cell phone (U.S. phone), and Skype credit for U.S. cell phone. My fiance has been topping up Digicel credit 1,000 JA credit that lasts a week, if even that  And you can only top up a certain amount of times a month because it's supposed to be a monthly plan. So fiance has to switch from two different numbers to keep up with the credit we use! I've used just about every calling card you can find at a store and nothing's good. I've looked online for help to no avail.

    Any suggestions?!

My husband has a magicjack number, if you have a smartphone you can get the app on your phone, it is free and you will have a us number that anyone you have called can call and you can call them as long as you have wifi connection we pay 3500 jmd per month for a digicel modem with internet service.

  5. I filed the CR-I/I 130 for my husband who is patiently waiting in Portugal for the paperwork to start rolling...and we got our receipt via text and mail that it was received on Dec. 14 (sent it all in on the 9th of Dec 2012), and it says on the website that biometrics are usually scheduled within 30 days... WELL....it's been nearly 60 DAYS and NO WORD about ANYTHING?? Is this normal? He and I have no criminal history, and are doing everything by the book, and are hopeful that the gov will stick to its word and timeline they give you, but this is ridiculous. What is the next step? SHouldn't they have contacted us by now? What is the hold-up? Anyone else experience this?

Also, I tried filling out the timeline on the visajourney site, but when it asked for filing location, Chicago wasn't one of them, and that's where I sent in my application. Why isn't Chicago one of the choices when you're filling out a timeline? What should I put?

    Thanks

The biometrics is not set up 30 days from petition, it is general 30 days from the time you send in your DS 230 and it is approved. I was under that assumption as well when I first started. Your petition has be received, now it has to go through approval process which takes the long period of time. I filed the end of August and it was approved end of Nov, so 3 months (for my case) then It was Jan when NVC received the petition and sent me the AOS bill and his DS 3032. It takes about 2 weeks for them to review the ds 3032 then send you the ds 230 bill (Just received mine today and paid it). Now have to send the completed ds 230 in, just waiting on his documents to get here. Have you gotten all the documents together that you are going to need for the AOS and IV? You can be working on that if not. Once the NVC has it things seem to get quicker...so hold one and keep positive

  6. Hey everyone!

I hope everyone is moving along smoothly in their immigration journey.

I had a question: I received the NVC case #, invoice #, DS-3032 form, and AOS fee invoice a few weeks after receiving the NOA2 from USCIS. I received all this via email.

However, I never gave NVC my email address. I think they might have gotten it off the I-130?

Anyways, my question is: my husband (beneficiary) wants to submit the DS-3032 via email. Is it too late for me to call the NVC and give them my husband's email address? I never called them to give them our email addresses.

Or can he just send them the DS-3032 form via email? Will they accept it without me even having called them?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    07/16/12 Sent I-130

    07/20/12 Priority Date

    07/25/12 NOA1

    01/07/13 Approval of I-130

01/30/13 Receipt of NVC case #, invoice #, DS-3032, and i-864 fee invoice via petitioner's email

    02/01/13 Paid i-864 fee

No it is not too late. He just has to print the form, sign it, scan it back to computer and email it to nvcinquiry@state.gov. Be sure to include the NVC case # in subject and petitioner name, dob and beneficiary, dob in the body of email then attach the signed copy of ds3032

  7. Since you are a USCitizen, you can do whatever you want.

Just make certain the visas you might purchase are in the passport name, and the airtickets are in the passport name.

    Good Luck !

    Thank you very much

Yes you can. My passport is still in my maiden name. When its time to renew my passport (soon) thats when I will change it to married name. If you plan to take a trip just make sure that ticket is same name as passport name. As the previous person said.

Thank you also, it is just getting time for me to go see my husband again, hopefully for his interview (and our anniversary) did not want to have any issues with my passport waiting to get it back.

  8. when did NVC receive your case?? do you know? and do you by any chance know why it took so long to get there? mine was approed a month ago and is not at NVC yet, that's why I'm asking to see why yours took so long

I received the notice from uscis on 11/29/2012 and it just got entered into nvc database on 1/18/2012....they receive it, but until it is in their database there just is no record of it. Thats 50 days from Notice from USCIS of acceptance until NVC having case entered and case # assigned. Lady said that there should be an email to me within 15 days for the next step.

Good luck on your journey. It seem that hope comes when there seems to be little left, the outcome will be so sweet that the obstacles along the way will seem not so bad and make us appreciate being together because of the struggle to get there.

  9. I searched ds 3032 but only found ds 3023...are they the same? They are both for authorized agent choice. and thank you!

yes, it was a typo. Sorry for any confusion.

    Bless

No worries, I thank you for your help. This website has been a God-send. Trying to file on your own can be scary, so it is nice to have a helping hand, and even better to have hundreds lol. Thank you again so so much!

  10. Are you sure you went back to the actual vermont service center and not a field office in vermont?

Either way, your results are due to an NBC transfer and would skew the results drastically for those sitting in the VSC since april and may.

I will see if I can figure out tomorrow..and will reach out on how to fix anything that may be listed incorrectly, but i am almost sure it said vsc. thank you for your assistance. have a great night everyone.

  11. When I first submited my case, they sent it to missori, and then 2 weeks later sent it back to VSC.

    Post Decision Activity

On November 29, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice

this is what i received yesterday.

  12. You mean to say that your paperwork went to vermont and never left vermont?

You never got notice of transfer to the national benefits center?

Given your time frame of happenings, that's what all signs are pointing to.

Unless you have some kind of expedite on your case.

When I first submited my case, they sent it to missori, and then 2 weeks later sent it back to VSC.

  13. If you click on the timeline button you will see that her I-130 was accepted on 8/24/2012 and that she is with the VSC...

I searched ds 3032 but only found ds 3023...are they the same? They are both for authorized agent choice. and thank you!

Because she was transferred to NBC and didn't update her center.

Op can you please change to NBC so vsc stats are not skewed?

What do you mean change to NBC?

  14. Well, I hope they let me come with him .... and I hope my being there will help him!

Good point! I shall identify the people in the photographs, especially if I am submitting an affidavit from them.

I feel maybe I did not send in enough. I sent the notarized letters from his mom, my best friend, the i130, g325a, g 1145, my birth certificate, copy of passport and driver's license, marriage certificate and his divorce certificate and our passport size photos. I am putting together a photo album of pictures for his interview, and other documents...was this wrong? Should I have included them as well?
