  1. Just an update to my "homies": smile.png .

My fiancee picked up her visa today - 8 days after her interview. She immediately got her required CFO sticker - same day...and will fly to San Francisco same day. (She had previously completed the CFO Guidance and Counseling session).

So...I'm very very excited dancin5hr.gif ...but now I need to start cleaning my house before she steps in the door wacko.png .

A few questions to you all:

Dee&Tino... did you ever get the interview letter...or confirmation from DOS and the Embassy of the interview date?

madison925 - What's up with your case? If they don't hurry...I'm gonna have to make a personal visit to the processing center and have a little "chit-chat" with the adjudicating officer myself :).

Pagong - I assume you will be in your fiancee's armes by the time you read this as your flight should have been yesterday?

I've been here since July 6. We're half way done. Hope to meet you soon. :)

  2. Good to hear this pagong. If my fiancée also gets her visa a week from the interview...I will also try to get her on a July 9th flight. If you are going to San Francisco...say "hi" to her - LOL

Rebooked to July 6. Expect the visa in 1 week

  3. I just got word that my fiancée's visa is approved!!! YIPPEE!!!

    Â

She arrived at the Manila Embassy at 5am (for a 730am appointment)...and did not return to her hotel until 2pm. She said they asked tons of questions, but the interview was over in 10 minutes. She was worried prior to the interview...but I was not worried because our relationship is real, she knows me well, and her plan was to simply tell the truth on everything. In the end, the Consular official said to her that we seem to have a great relationship...and that I look like Denzel Washington in my photos - LOL. Then he said "Congratulations - your visa application is approved".

    Â

Just have to wait for the visa to arrive now...which is agonizing in its own way as they can deliver in 3 days or 2 weeks. There is no way to know how long. But thank God the worst is over. She just has to collect her passport (with visa) and then get a CFO sticker in her passport.

    Â

I'll still be hanging out in this thread for a while as I want to witness success for all of my October brothers and sisters.

    Â

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement, advice, and support.

    Congrats!

Btw, my visa is ready for pick up after 1 week. I'll get it tomorrow. Flight booked in July 9 :)

  4. I had been asked to update the group on my fiancée's medical exam Wed-Thurs (Manila time). She apparently passed...because they did not say anything to her to the contrary :-). She had been finished with her monthly period a couple days...so this did not pose a problem for her.

    Â

From other contacts (one that I know personally), K-1 visas from the Embassy at Manila are taking 1 to 2 weeks lately. I'm sure it happens faster on occasion, but one cannot count on it being faster. I had been hoping for 3-4 days...but I'll reset my expectations.

My passport is 'still with post', I think it's still in Manila embassy. I'm not expecting for it to move since its weekend tomorrow. Hoping by Tuesday.

Congrats in advance. One step closer.

Wow...congratulations!!! I am extremely happy for you. Yes...a baby is the best evidence to prove relationship - LOL.

    Â

I read/heard somewhere that the visa can get to MOA after 3 or 4 days...and up to 6-7 days to other locations in the Philippines. Please let me know the delivery time that you experience as my fiancee will also pick up at MOA...and we are trying to estimate the flight date - just as you are.

    Â

Again...congratulations!!! I share in your excitement.

Thank you so much! I'm expecting it in one week, cross fingers :) ill keep you updated and good luck to your journey :)

  6. ÃÂ

I assume you will get your CFO sticker immediately after you get the visa? Also...is it CFO that gives clearance for the baby?

I already attended CFO, just gonna go there for the sticker.

No, it's bureau of immigration and after traveling so far from the province they will tell me They cant release it and i will need to give them a copy of our plane tickets. They're so crazy! Now I'm in the bus and I feel like my day is wasted.

  7. Yay!! I'm approved!!! Can't believe I'm almost half way done now. Oh well, im confident about the interview. hahaha. I believe my US citizen daughter is the best evidence. ð

I'm gonna pick it up at moa because they said its 2 days early in there. They can't give any time frame but as the website mention, it's within 2 weeks.

Tentative date of flight: July 6, 2013

Who knows we might bump in US!!

    Shake shake shake. ð

As of now, the only thing needed is my visa so I book our flights and get the baby's exit clearance!!! Goodness Philippines has a never ending requirements!!!!!

  8. Â

So...Pagong...you had your interview today? How did it go? How soon to you expect to receive your visa? You will pick it up at SM MOA, correct?

  9. I don't think you'll need parental advice since you're 25. I'm the same age as yours and got there last week. They didn't ask it to me or anyone in there.

Yes, it was said here a lot if times that age 21-25 should get that, I tried getting one in the civil registrar in our town and they didn't gave me one since they said that in 25 and in the legal age already. (Parental advice is for 21-24) I still insisted but they asked me a letter from CFO that its one of the requirements but its not even listed in the website. So I wasn't able to get one.

You can try but I believe 25 years and older doesn't really need that.

  10. My fiancee is scheduled for her Embassy interview July 1st in Manila. My concern is that they tell you to complete the medical exam a week before the interview. Because she is on her monthly period now...she will only be able to begin her medical exam 3 days before her interview (they cannot complete the medical until her period is finished). I don't suspect this will be a problem...but if someone has info on this...let me know.

    Â

I will let everyone know what happens.

They're asking the first day of the last period in every step of the medical in st Luke's. but if she's done I really can't see the problem.

And about them submitting the result to the embassy it's stated in the website that give them atleast 1 week to forward the result. Before, slec is able to submit the result in 2 days. But There are some post in here that during their interview there's no submitted medical result in the embassy. It may vary (maybe depending on their mood :))

Give at try. I believe it's fine. Good luck!

  11. You don't need to get Philippine passport for the crba. And I doubt if you can go back in few months after you get married in USA.

IT'S not a hard process crba as long as you follow the website correctly. I had my baby's crba last June 4 and still waiting for her US passport to arrive.

  12. It will be 60 days this Sunday sJune 16th since VCS confirmed that they received our RFE. We called USCIS the yesterday and surprisingly we talked to a very nice lady and did a service request for us. Is that going to work? They told us to give them 15 days and then call them back if we dont hear anything from them. Waited 60 days since they said so and then will wait for another 15 days. Wow! What an amazing journey. Sorry for the negative vibes. Anyone who had a successful experience with service request? How many days usually? Thank you!

I'm praying that you'll hear your approval soon. Hang in there. Good luck.

  13. Â

I know you were worried about this...so I am extremely happy to hear this good news! Please let us know about your interview.

Yeah. It was an amazing feeling when I received the CD. I'm one step closer.

Btw. On my 2nd day, it's the immunization and releasing day. The guard told me to go to the immunization area. While others are asked to go to the releasing area first. After my immunization in which I had 4 shots the nurse told me to go to the releasing area.

In there, I met this young lady (she's immigrating to US) and an old woman I think they noticed me a little worried and they told me that once you got the vaccines it's as good as you passed the medical exam. And that whats happened. :)

I think it's a nice thing to share for my co pinoys. :)

Because 2nd day is the moment of truth. :)

  14. Did you ever try to call them?? If yes and they told you that they didn't recieve your file yet call uscis and ask for tier 2. And keep calling nvc everyday. Don't wait for the mail for MOST of the times they're not sending it. They said if you want a hard copy you should email nvc. In my case, we've emailed them 4x in 3 weeks time and still no email back from them.

    Good luck.

Update: I already have the nvc letter. :)
