  1. missDKmrUSA are you relying on the CEAC status to tell you your interview is ready? Although it's useful to know that your case has left NVC, CEAC is not updated with the latest info and uses a lot of stock phrases that aren't correct for K-1 files.

Did you track your package on DHL? Have you been in contact with the embassy?

For example, my package left NVC on June 5th. DHL tracking says it's just now leaving Cincinnati sorting hub and should reach Europe tomorrow (7th), but I'm sure it won't be at the Finnish embassy until Monday, possibly even Tuesday. And yet my CEAC status now says "ready" and interview scheduled, which is just boilerplate language for "it's out of our hands now!"

If your case left on the 4th, it probably isn't at the embassy yet because it takes a couple days. It's a half a world away! biggrin.png

I am guessing this is yours: http://www.dhl-usa.com/content/us/en/express/tracking.shtml?AWB=7555324490& Of course there's no way to be sure, but if NVC told you it left on the 4th, then that seems likely. There was also a packet for Sweden that left on the 5th, so that one could be yours too.

Thank you so much! This makes me relax a bit.. there is a big possibility that its ours... Our case was in transit on Monday and Tuesday... and then it changed to Ready.. so I believe our case was sent around 4/5th of June...

  2. Tried that, haven't gotten a response back from them.

I've really tried everything I can do. So far:

    • Emailed NVCResearch on May 15th, nothing back on that yet.
    • Emailed the ombudsman on the 16th - no response.
    • Contacted my congressman, the response back was that CSC approved on 4/24, and it takes 3-6 weeks to reach the NVC, so they can't do anything else until it's been more than 6 weeks, so they won't do anything until 6/5
    • Last week finally got USCIS to put in a service request, and there should be something back by tomorrow
    • Still call NVC twice a day to see if it shows up.
Going to try talking to tier 2 again today, to see if there is any response from the service request.

So even with the NOA2 wait, that's really just the first hurdle... so many things can delay the process...

Did you try to send an email to SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov (head quarter of USCIS)?

I've read about files being sent to NRC by mistake instead of NVC... I hope this is not the case for any of us..

  3. Where do you get that you have waited a year for NOA2? What am I missing?

05/15 to 05/29... 14 calendar days... 10 business days (or 9, maybe, depending on whether DOS counts that first day)...

Having said that, I TOTALLY feel your impatience and am going to be bonkers too by 14 calendar days smile.png

Lol... I get your confusion... One year of waiting! First my baby had to wait 8 months to apply for citizenship, then we had to go through that and then start the K1 process... so all this waiting has taken a year now.. and every extra day is one day too much... smile.png

And its hard to sit and watch people go through NVC in few days, when all I get that I have to wait 15 business days...

  4. Ok. Maybe I have a stupid question here but im starting to stress. Do we need to file i-824 before uscis will send the approved petition to nvc or not? Getting confused...Ok. 6. This is getting ridicilous.... is this another round of waiting game :(

Some people get answer from NVC right away and have been forwarded to their consulate within a week... and others have to wait for a loooong time before NVC even give a case number.. :(

    Is there nothing to do?

I call NVC every day and they just say they didnt receive our case...
