Does anyone else still have this message "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information." on the https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do website? It has been like that for months now I think. Does it change once an interview is scheduled?

I was wondering, is it true that filers that applied based on the 3-year rule won't get an interview date before their 3 year anniversary greencard date?

My husband had his biometrics appointment yesterday and the old website says " USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice." I highly doubt that his citizenship interview is actually scheduled, I think its more probable that ZeeQ is right (status is referring to the biometrics appointment). We will probably be going with the status on the new website and ignoring the old one.
Also, he got an email about an hour after finishing biometrics stating that there was an update to his account. He checked it and there was nothing. He got another email this morning saying that his case was updated. When he logged in today, his case status had changed to "We reviewed your biometrics". Just saying what happened in case anyone after us is wondering about the case updates after biometrics.

I agree with other posters that the cover letter and resume should be customized depending on the job posting/description. A good way of doing this is having a resume that is the master copy and that you can copy/paste from to other variations of the resume. A good resource to help you customize your resume is to use a tool like TagCrowd to see what the key words of the job posting are and use those in the resume that you apply with. The bigger the word is in the TagCrowd results, the more times it is repeated in the job posting and the more important it is to have in your resume.
Lastly, patience is KEY in the job search. It takes time and lots of effort especially for immigrants since most employers prefer to hire someone with experience here in the US.

You can apply for citizenship as soon as your 90-day window opens even if your ROC has not been processed yet. If your extension expires before your ROC is processed, you can make an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office.
Also, you might want to call USCIS regarding the status of your biometrics appointment because it seems to me that 6 months is a long time to wait just for biometrics scheduling. When my husband applied for his ROC, his biometrics letter came in a month or less.

My husband is looking to file N-400 as soon as his window opens next week and we were wondering two things:
1) Is there any downside to applying online vs mailing it in?
2) How much evidence should we submit with the application? We will definitely submit a copy of his green card, his passport, our marriage certificate, and my birth certificate (U.S citizen) with the application. But we also have leases, renter's insurance, taxes, etc. from the day we were married until now. Should he just take those to the interview or is it better to submit them with the application?
We look forward to being added to N-400 pending list next week!

Great news was waiting in our mailbox today, my husband got his case approval letter from USCIS!
Decision date on the letter was 1/1/2018.

We received the biometrics letter a few days ago. The notice was dated Feb. 24, postmarked the 28th, and the date of biometrics is March 13. Does anyone know if we can do early same-day walk-in instead of the time written on the notice?

My then-fiance (now husband) was put in AP for 8 months by the embassy in Cairo, then secondary AP for another 4 months after that. After the initial 8 month AP, the embassy asked for a renewed medical and police report. Our case had no red flags and we only found out that it was in a second AP after reaching out to my Senator.
I am wondering, have you reached out to your Congressman or Senator? If not, that may be a good step to take before filing the Writ.

We just received NOA1 yesterday, it was dated 2/7/2017 (the day after the package was received by VSC).
Now we wait for the biometrics letter....
