  1. SLEC will do their own xray and only after that will you know the result. Like others said, SLEC follows what they see in their xray result and not of others. Just keep yourself healthy and strong. Anything wrong with the medical can result to some delays. Just try to mitigat that by being helathy. Good luck!

  2. I suggested to go to Manila because it's the only embassy he was able to contact and ge's laying over there. He did not have to wait for a day if he can handle the jet lag and go in and out of tye emvassy and airport. He was willing to go to Cebu which is not even in Mindanao so he'd still be traveling abd so will his fiance who is in Mindanao. Anywhere you go in the Philippines there would be taxi driver that will be a headache. If that's your reason of not wanting to go to the Manila embassy that's alright. There's someone who confirmed being able to get your affidavit in Cebu without appointments anyway so you're good to go.

  3. Yes. Just send your DS 3025 with other stuff for AOS. No need to get the I-693 since your DS 3025 should still be valid.

I was asking whether you brought your vaccinations from when you were a baby to the SLEC Medical exam. I did not have a record of my vaccinations from when I was a baby and I only got two shots from the SLEC medical exam. At the bottom left corner of my DS 3025 a box about incomplete vaccinations was checked. I sent only my DS 3025 and no I-693 needed.

  4. Like what the others have suggested, your sister should bring proof of intent to leave the US. They may or may not ask for this during the interview so bring nonetheless. Proof are like letter from the employer that says the need for her to go back to work. Properties and family can also be a form of proof. You can bring pictures of family and maybe a copy of your bank account and/or property titles. If you don't have any of the last two then don't be discouraged. If you have a good travel record then they will also consider that. My sister also work in middle east and she is pretty confident in being able to get a visa. She said that applying a B2 via middle eastearn US embassy is easier for her as she is under contract with an employer in the middle east and they will produce a letter of the need for her to comeback or else they will have to ban her from working there again under breach of contract. She is also well traveled visiting countries in Asia and has her passport stamped several times when going through immigration and customs.

  5. It was more of a rhetorical question but it seems you really have set your mind in going despite the passport issue.totally understandable since so many Filipinos would want to go back but like I said, you should ask your airline company that you'll be traveling with if they'd take you. Since you are a flight attendant you should be more than capable to know. As what others have said, Consular don't seem to mind. Maybe just bring proof that you have renewed your passport and is just waiting for delivery or something to that extent.

  6. I think it is highly dependent on the airline you are using. They are the ones that would need your passport validity the most. Since you have ordered a new passport, why not wait for it then and order your ticket? You might miss Sinulog but you just have to wing it. If you can enter PI with your current passport, how are you getting the previously renewed one from here in the US? Your best bet would be to renew again in the PI. Just have to check in with airlines if they will carry with an almost expired passport.

  7. Looking at your previous post, it seems you took the medical before you have set the appointment for an interview as per approval of USCIS. Is it right to assume that it was a medical YOU have decided to do and not the one USCIS OR NVC has ordered as per your MNL case number? If it was a medical that you wanted to do without being approved first then you need to retake the medical exam. Medical exams would ask for MNL case numbers so they can send results to the interview.

  8. What happens if the medical exspires before you can travel?

Medical is a pre requisite for the interview. If you don't pass the SLEC medical exam then you are unlikely to have an interview due to them moving your interview date or your visa will not be issued because of lack of documents (DS3025/vaccination sheet).

An issued DS3025 should be valid for 1 year to be used in replacement of I693 for K1 adjustment of status. I don't see any reason why a person who has passed the medical, had an interview and given a visa would not be able to travel regardless if the medical is expired. The visa is what you need to travel. As i see it, you only need to get the interview before medical expires. The issued visa would then be valid for another 6months and 6 months is the allotted time for you to get out of the country.

  9. Emmandenn,

While I can't answer your specific question, you may wish to contact the embassy and speak with them regarding April/May 2015 appointment availability.

    http://manila.usembassy.gov/niv-application.html#3

Book an appointment by calling (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930 for calls within the Philippines and other countries aside from mainland United States or (703) 520-2235 for calls from mainland United States. The call center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Manila time, except on U.S. and Philippine holidays. Appointments can also be booked online through http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph.

They were very helpful and answered our questions accurately.

    Regards.

I'll have my mom ask them then. Thank you so much! :)

  10. Does anybody know if the months of May and April 2015 are already open to view and schedule for a tourist visa appointment at the Manila US embassy? We haven't paid the fee since I read that it only has a year validity and just wanted to be sure that those months are open to be scheduled. :)

  11. Hi i will have my interview for K1 this July 11 but my I-129F wxpiration will be on 3rd of July? What should i do?Does it affect my application?

Since you have scheduled your interview before July 3 then your case has been extended and so no need to worry. The July 3 is the deadline in which you need to schedule an appointment interview with the consulate.

    Just curious... Two questions:

    1. Once I-129F petition is approved, how long do you have to respond with the proper documents (when the Consular sends you the packet)? What is the normal expiration date?

    2. Once K1 visa is issued, how long do you have to enter the country? Expiration date....

I know that once you enter the U.S you have 90 days to get married... just wondering about the two questions above, since I will have to notify my employer and train the new person who will replace me.

    1. 4 months. That is NOA2 approval until expiration.

    2. 6 months. Interview/visa approval until expiration.

  12. I quote from http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-through-family/green-card-through-special-categories-family/k-nonimmigrant

"If you received a medical examination prior to admission as a K nonimmigrant, then you are not required to have another medical examination at time of adjustment as long as:

Your Form I-485 is filed within 1 year of your overseas medical examination

The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition

If you did have a Class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver."

I assume that at the very bottom of the DS3025 it says vaccination history incomplete and is eligible for blanket waiver? The I693 is asked "if applicable" only. If you fall in the categories above then a copy of your DS3025 should be enough. Just put in the table of contents that you are making that you have sent the I693 as per USCIS Form I485 instruction (specifically under Initial evidence 7-C). :)

  13. my case status is READY...it says, your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S Consular section. If you have already set an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. otherwise, please wait until you received an interview scheduling instruction.

*should I go ahead and make an appointment online or should I wait for the embassy or consulate instruction? Thanks

You are applying for a I130 right? Just confused coz your signature says for an I 130 but your application says naturalization approved. For the I130, if you have your MNL case number then you can schedule your interview. You can call NVC for the MNL case number or wait for the NVC number. You can wait for the Manila Embassy also but it often gets lost in the mail and doesn't come at all.

  14. Oh no. "naki-singgit" lang ako sa thread na ito hehe. =) Were planning for my husbands medical this May bcoz his interview is on June 6. Im just makign sure i dont miss or forget anythign before the medical and interview. :)

Ok. :) most if not some people are not able to bring their immunizations record and still they get at most 3 or 4 shots as what I know and per experience. :)
