RFE not as bad as we first feared, they want some passport photos of my fella and a couple of forms filled out. Probably stuff we would have known to include had we known about this site from the beginning. Oh we'll we live and learn. Sending everything they've asked for tomorrow so hopefully won't have delayed us too badly. Incidentally we had a lawyer look at our application to see if we had everything.......glad we decided not to keep him on now.

Our RFE was passport style photos as well. We sent ours off and they "recieved" it last Tuesday. All these days off are buggin me out but I know we can't change it so no worries. Hopefully it wont take us too long to get our responses/approvals!

So still waiting for the decision after we sent our RFE back in two weeks ago, all these darn holidays are getting in the way =/ .... someone had mentioned this affidavit of support that their fiance had to send in with all the packet 3 info or for interview, not too sure, but anyways. Does anyone know the correct way of getting all that together? For exammple, do you have to get the form notarized or authenticate by the bank along with any other bank statements, etc?? Just was curious if I could get details from yall =)

Do we know how many days the offices are closed for Thanksgiving holiday? Just curious.

yayy got our RFE letter in today, it states all we need to send in are updated passport photos of both of us. Has anyone ever taken a photo of themselves or should we just suck it up and have him mail the photos to me which could take over a week to get here! =(

Also, is it possible for them to go back and review it and send another RFE after they take another look at our file? The reason I ask is because I had forgotten to put a letter in the orginal packet stating that we intended to get married oooopppsss. And I am curious if I could put in the RFE packet I send out, or should I just wait and see?? I don't want to get in trouble for sending additional information that is not stated in the RFE letter. Help please!!

Just to clarify, you had sent in your original passport photo, and that was not accepted? They needed two photos of you like the passport photo? oh goodness, what kind of quality photo did you send back?

Today I received a RFE stating that I needed to provide 2 passport style photos. I sent the originals with the application along with my fiances photos, however they seemed to have lost mine. Needless to say, I over nighted the photos which should arrive tomorrow, 11-2-12.

My question is, how long will this request for evidence set back an approval notice?

Will my application go to the bottom of the pile now or what?

I got my RFE notification today, so now just waiting on the letter to see what they need. I have heard from other people that passport photos is a common need. I sent in mine, but i did not send in my fiances passport photo. It is good to hear that we dont have to wait very long after we send off the documents! =)

Well guys, I got my RFE today, to say the least it was not too bad seeing the big 3 letters in a text from my fiance when he checked the website. At least we know they are getting a good start on May filers.

Here's how you find your 'window'. Don't even log in, you don't have to. Just go to "Status Update" at the top. Enter your number.

From that point, change the last number of the entire string. Start going backwards. For example, if your number is (randomly picked) WAC123456, change the 6 to a 5. When you hit submit, it should still say I-129f Petition for Fiance. The status may be post decision, initial review, or RFE, etc. Keep changing that last number backwards until the form changes from I-129 to some other form and stop. You now know where your group begins.

Next, type your number in again, and change the last number to a 7. Same process, only counting up. When the form type changes in that direction, you then have the complete group on your stack. Make a Word doc with a table, and list them out, with their status at the right. Label yours, of course as ME Does this make sense?

Hey everyone, I am sure this question has already been asked but I have read so much information I can't remember, Is it ok to send in flight itinerarys? or we need actual ticket stubs? If we need actual ticket stubs, of course I threw mine away, is there a way to access this through the airline perhaps??

Hey guys. A quick question. For the proof that we met in the past two years, I submitted photos and my itinerary. It seems like these are not enough proofs according to many filters. The thing is, I did submit a copy of all pages on my passport but I put that in a separate envelope to proof I am a USA citizen and the pictures and itinerary in another envelope. Do you think they will be smart enough to take a look at my passport copies for both the proof of citizenship and proof of meeting even though I did not title it as such??

I didn't label anything (passport stamps) just stuck in the packet somewhat organized so I will let you know if I get an RFE, my NOA1 was May 3rd... I am hoping they will be intelligent enough to know what is what

Packet 3 depending upon your country's consulate, is the next set of paperwork and medical exam needed to be completed before you interview, after you receive your NOA2. Here is a link. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

You need to check with others in your consulate for specific requirements, because you can be denied if you don't follow their guidelines. I hope this helps.

Well at least its in the mail. fingers crossed.

I'm not much further ahead from when I first got my NOA2, Sydney consulate requires us to have our medical and police clearance done in order to sending back packet 3. Since I'm working in NZ, everything is taking a little longer for me to get. It will be 2 months since NOA2 when I finally get to send back my packet 3, I hope its not longer than that. I know that at least I have an approval, I'm not complaining, but I just wish that I had been better prepared considering the gift of approval was granted in such a timely manner.

just 8 weeks left in NZ. can't wait to live my life by something other than countdowns....

What is this packet 3 you are referring too? What exactly do we have to get together after you are approved? paperwork, etc. Is there a link for info? thanks

I have seen how people post "touches" in their timeline, how do you know when that happens?? Will it be via email?

Also, where and how do you keep up with daily approvals for Vermont?? Just curious.
