  1. congrats on POE and upcoming wedding!

follow the guides, those forms are confusing, particularly the AP one, another tip is 'don't lose anything and take a copy of everything' :). and order your tax transcript ASAP, due to tax filing time of year, it could take a while to get your transcripts.

I kept running into snags, my husbands tax transcript says he earned around $3000 for 2011, due to being deployed in Iraq, therefore his taxable income was low (tax free earnings while on deployment) so have had to go the extra step for that.

We are supposed to be moving to Korea, though making some attempts to change that assignment, thats delayed us aswell, we should have heard last week (and the week before, and the one before that!) if its confirmed or deleted, so I'm sending this puppy off tomorrow, with a letter from his CO advising we are moving to Korea in approx 2 months. I've had the packet ready for almost 2 weeks now.

    nothing else really.

Ok thank you, did you have a hard time getting your driver's liscense too?

  2. Mrettercap - Congrats again, less than a week till POE! very exciting for you! this whole long stressful period of your life will soon be far behind you, the rest is easy.

Kassil&Tierce, thats is so sweet! very special and thoughtful.

Both Hubby and I separately purchased the exact same dinner items for Valentines dinner, except we got different flavours of ben&Jerry's, which is amusing how we chose, it always used to be Cherry Garcia for me and Americone dream for him, so I bought him the Americone dream but decided to try something different for myself, and he bought me Cherry Garcia but decided on something different for himself! ha! and we are going on a trip to the Big Island this weekend.

so I have my AOS packet finally ready, just need the cheque, and the envelope. and considering at this stage we are still moving to Korea, we are requesting an expedite, its part of what has us slowed down, we were trying to get moved off the Korea assignment, but its less than 90 days and we are still going, so, now to proceed as is. Therefore, I've been busy with more paperwork and medicals for the military, consumed with even. and more of hubby's relatives visiting. interesting people. ahem.

Happy Valentines to all of you spending your first together, and the rest, its your last alone. that should give you comfort.

    Pathotoko, any news??

Any advice on getting the AOS package together?

  3. Hey everyone, it has been probably been 3 weeks or so since last loggin, but I will say that I miss this forum. After this 9 + month process its been nice coming on here. My fiance made it here safely in the US however they held him for 4 hours in Miami, but to make a long story short he is here now! :) Our small wedding will be this Friday the 22nd, we are very excited! Now just looking ahead to see the next part of this process, the AOS....any hints or advice is much appreciated.

  4. Well guys, my fiance's interview is tomorrow! however, I am nervous b/c he hasn't received the orginal notarized I-134, he has a scanned version. The day he received the letter from the embassy I mailed off the notarized copy by priority. I am just trying to stay positive and hopefully they wont send him away and reschedule the interview at a later date.

  5. We're waiting until she's here before we start making any real plans - but we do seem to be planning to have one of her male friends as a bridesmaid and the girl who initially introduced us as a groomsman.

haha funny joke about the guy being a bridesmaid and the woman being a groosman, unless yall are doing it backwards on purpose?? B-)

Yep, what I SHOULD have done... LOL Too late now! I guess for some reason I wanted to keep my stress level up. :bonk:

Today's drama is that I have no shoes. I left them in the store at my final fitting and they can't find them. Ugh. I guess it's a good thing I noticed today and not Sat.

Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow on your Wedding Day!!!

  6. big slowdown around the festive period I assume, any news??

hmmm packet 3 to the US citizen isn't unusual, that happened in our case, however by email, snail mail is a bit stranger, but never mind, its there, and you shouldn't see anything as odd in your case  just keep chasing the White rabbit. so has she gone home yet??

ohhh just a couple of weeks away now? any thoughts on a POE date yet?

He actually just bought his plane ticket today in advance, he will be flying in the 26th =)) Do a lot of people do that? We are a little worried but hopefully it will all work out.

  7. Brock - that all sounds a bit weird, since when did they send the NOA2 to the beneficiary, and why would they have given you a CSC (WAC) number when it was at VSC (EAC), you could try using EAC and enter the numbers - see if that works for you. Its possible they did something different to usual, but I suggest you get in touch with the embassy in the UK ASAP to find out if your interview is really in December.

I leave on my flight in less than 8 hours!! so in around 18 hours, I'll be in Hawaii, and depending on how long POE actually takes, in his arms shortly after. feeling realllllly overwhelmed, but so ready to go. need to finish packing and have time to sit and breathe for a bit.

    here we go!

yayyy!! uhhhh I would love to go to Hawaii now! Have fun =))

  8. I provided my tax transcripts for 3 years, a letter from my employer and about 5 recent pay stubs. Since I was well above the poverty line I did not include any other information (bank statements, home info, etc) This was sufficient for my case.

Thank you that helps a lot! One more question though, on the I134 form I put how much is down in my savings account, do I have to have a bank statement that supports that? or no?
