Hi Rachael, Marcelo told me that you met him at Rio He told me you had to send in some extra documents to the consulate in Rio... do you know what address it is supposed to go to and to whom it should be addressed or given attention??

Oh. I had said that their medical papers from the same DR were not ready either.... Felipe had to pay twice for the xrays, so I can't help but wonder if this is COMMON PRACTICE for this Dr. It was SO difficult flying home without him...with the seat next to me empty where he was SUPPOSED to be. We will buy him a ticket AS SOON as his visa arrives. Each day I am hoping "THIS is the day".... Until then, gotta trust in God's Timing.

I see. The red tape there is enough to make your head spin... THey told us we were "approvable". We just needed the medical. It was frustrating already because Felipe had done the medical as soon as we got the interview date. But the Dr had him do a second x-ray because of unclear picture, and apparently in Brazil x-rays take a week more to read. They came back clear, but were not available until after the interview. Another couple at Rio that day used the same Dr, and their paper...

We sent it to:
Consular Geral Dos Estados Unidos
Setor de Vistos de Immigrantes
Av. Presidente Wilson, 147,Centro
Rio de Janeiro RJ, 20030-020
So sorry your process isn't complete yet! It is a frustrating process sometimes! When you posted your approval I assumed you were done. Our approval was pending the medical documents, so there is no official "approval" for us, yet. Any day now, I hope!

Hi! Yes, there had been a delay with lab work, and my fiancé's medical paperwork was not available in time for our interview. We sent it to the address listed on the website, c/o the Immigration Sector. We had it delivered overnight, but unfortunately it sat there in some mail room for over a week. They only sent the document to the immigration sector this week. So, I have since returned to the states, and we cancelled my fiancé's ticket until visa is in hand.

Sorry to bother you, but I saw that you just had your interview and I have a quick question about the criminal records. Do you know if they accept the ones you get from the website? How did you get yours? Thanks in advance And good luck with the rest of your journey!
