  1. My Wife's name starts with Ma also. It was no problem in the Philippines. Make sure to pay attention to what is being put into the computer when she files for Social Security Card, Dirver's License, State Identification or W-2s. Everyone tries to put in Maria in the US and that will cause trouble for you. The period will always be dropped as it pertains to anything US/State Government issued, it is what it is. Good luck in your journey.

  2. 99% of tests proove positive prior to the 45 day mark. I had my wife call earlier than the 8 weeks and they told her that the test was negative and to come back and finish her medical. I would say, you are just fine. But, if you want more info on the TB testing itself, just do a search online. All of the information I read quoted from 42-45 days for the results of a positive to show, usually much sooner than that. Anything past the 45 day mark was usually negative.

  3. We were in the same group. I went online, after paying the deposit, and scheduled our interview. My Fiancee is currently at her medical exam in Manila. I found online to be quite easy. You have to creat a profile answer the questions, the K1 Visa is listed under the Immigrant Visa section. That tripped me up for a few minutes. You will need to email yourself a copy of the interview letter from the same site. Just take your time and look at the different "buttons" on the page. It took me a bit to figure out how to navigate around the site. After I got the gist of the site it was fairly easy to do. After paying the visa fee you are supposed to be able to go online to schedule the interview. I had trouble the day of paying, but the next morning it was no problem. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/

    Good Luck!

  4. Hello everyone,

Okay to clear some confusion. I contacted my SENATOR 10 days before I received the email stating that my file was in transit to an adjudicator. Three hours after my Senator rep. emailed me, I received the USCIS approval notification. This was not a coincidence. Our Senator rep. stated that she was fed the same line of BS that the USCIS tries to sell everyone. Thankfully, our rep did not accept these answers. She was prepared, she was informed and she did not accept anything short of action, as it pertained to our petition.

I would suggest that everyone, who is around 7 months or more, to contact their state's US SENATOR. I have been asked to share the email that I had sent to my Senator. Unfortunately, the email I sent was on the online form I had to fill out. I don't have a copy but, I will try to paraphrase. I basically told the Senator what was going on with CSC. I told him that I believed the work load influx from DACA was affecting the process as pertained to our petition. I asked them why it was taking 4 months to complete one days worth of petitions. Most importantly, I introduced VJ to our rep. Thankfully, she looked around, became more informed and was ready for the return phone call from USCIS. I am also fortunate to have had a rep who would not take BS excuses.

Listen, I wish you all the best of luck. The main reason I post my original post was to inform those who were before me in line on how I was able to be approved. I feel badly that we received approval before many in front of us. To those who fall into this category, I am sorry to have jumped ahead, it was not my intention. Mostly, I was writing to complain about the process. It worked out for us and I hope it will work out for all of you. Again, my suggestion is to contact your prospective state's US Senator and inform, educate and plead your individual feelings as it pertains to the process. Make it personal, thank them for the service they give to our country and implore them to help fix this process. I did not ask to be put ahead of anyone. Nor, did I ask to be expedited. My rep did this on her own accord.

I am sorry if this is not specific enough for some but, I think it best for all of us to submit original, personalized requests to our Congressional representatives. Form letters and similarly outlined emails will not allow for personalized experiences and will negate the efforts taken.

Again, I thank you and wish you all the best.

    Chris

  5. Congrats. Unfortunately, it seems like my senators and representatives don't even read my letters regarding the situation and just give me the generic BS from USCIS.

I am sorry to hear that. If you can, try your Senator again, if you have not already. I tried my US House Rep. and they were useless. I then took all of the info I had to negate my Senator office's cookie cutter response, and used it preemptively. The rep. helping me said she was amazed at the fact that I gave her the answers she would hear from the USCIS and they in turn tried to sell her on it. I hope the best for you. Don't give up, keep trying!

  6. Hello All,

We received our approval today. 10 days ago I emailed my US Senator's office. I included all of the information that I could about the process. I included the Visa Journey site so that they could understand how I was coming up with my information. I included excuses given to other congressional offices, as found on VJ. I talked about the fact that CSC has been working on July 18, 2012 for the last four months. I preemptively agreed with the whole first come first serve basis of approval. What I pointed out was that there were 11 million applications that seem to have cut in line. That, I was not above the law but, I did not feel it fair that many people who are following the law, now seem to be affected by those who have not. I basically thanked them, informed them of what they could expect as an answer from CSC.

I received an email today from the Senator's office stating that the info I had given allowed for an informed argument and dismissal of the excuses given by CSC. I was told to expect to hear from them soon as the USCIS representative was confounded with the informed person on the other end of the line. The Senator's aide also told me that she had no idea of the things going on and could only take what she was told by USCIS at face value in the past. Well, I received an email from the USCIS 3 hours after hearing from my Senator's office, our approval.

My suggestion to all who are still waiting. If, you have been waiting longer than 6 months, email your US SENATOR'S office. Be very polite letting them know you do not seek preferential treatment but, to be treated fairly. Give them the VJ site for their research. Our Senator's office said that they found out a huge amount of information about the process and current state of affairs from VJ that they had never been privy to in the past. Take your time to document all of the inconsistencies from the USCIS i.e. the plumbing problem that was expected to cause no delay, only to be used as an excuse for 48,000 applications. Give the people you are asking help from the tools they need to help you. My letter to my Senator was a couple of pages of clear, concise information as it pertained to my case.

I wish you all of the best of luck. I thank you all for your help and information. I especially thank all of the people at VJ for this site.

    Chris

  7. Hello,

Well if you think like that... your on a boat that's gettin' to sink/drown. Anyways, I and my fiance sometimes makes a jokes... Sometimes i told him... Why don't you put a nano technology on my wrist so that you can monitor me 24/7? Both of us just laughing! Well, long distance is not easy but without trust... there the relationships is on trouble! It needs open communications and completely trust! Well, just best wishes to you.

  8. Postal ID is considered. It's still a valid ID. In fact, one of the girls there who just applied passport the same day with me. She only showed her postal ID. All I can advice is, bring with her the following:

NBI, Police clearance, and NSO Birth certificate. She will be approved with these. Nothing further to answer your queries.

  9. Hello,

Whe I applied my passport, I was a walked in applicant like her. I went there early(DFA Cebu) Fall in line and got my priority number. I have only my 2 Id's with me. My school ID and My government Id. But, I brought NBI, NSO birth certificate and Police clearance. So no hassles, they just took my my NBI, NSO and police clearance and ask one Id. So I showed my school id. SO that's it! I'paid the express which is 1,200 pesos( you can choose there is also 950 pesos for normal processing). Only one day and everything is fine. Then I just have to wait for my passport to release. So I got my passport last August 2, 2012. U don't need to have an appointment schedule just go directly to the DFA site and applied there. She should go there early coz there is limited numbers to be given.

  10. Well, it doesn't mean American time, Filipino time, Nigerian time... and country/ethnicity's time. Time is gold and precious. We are not talking about cultural mannered times here.. we're talking/dealing important things. Whatever time you had been grown up.. it doesn't matter as long your true and sincere and dont give people a false hope if you don't wanted to do it. This is a matter good attitude/manners not about different cultural manner times. I am a Filipina, and we have so called Filipino time too but, we never bring this manner/attitude in doing something which is very important like this(sending docs). Sorry don't want to be sound rude guys! Let's just face the fact! God bless.

  11. Hello,

Greetings of peace and joy and of course Advance Happy Valentines everyone!

It's the first posting here, Vj is such a great help for us. Well, I just wanted to say.. Happy Valentines to everyone. It's so sad on my part... my big baby(fiance) is not here with me to celebrate this seasons of love. Hope NOA2 will be heard soon. So hard to be far away from our love ones.

To all still waiting for NOA2 , we will just have to wait. God bless us all.

  12. Hello,

I and my fiance were waiting for our NOA2. Okay let's talk about your situation, just done reading your post..all I can say is that, this man is still confuse or maybe changing his mind to marry you! Why? Well first anf foremost, he can't even send you back the docs as much as possible! Yeah, let us say he's so busy.. so does everybody are busy too! but if you really loves the person..you will fing time to do it and show it even in your busiest schedules. In our case, when my fiance sent me the file/docs that I needed to fill/print out.. I had no printer at the house but, I did it as I could for no more hassles and I want everything in an apple pie order( arraged properly and do it correctly). Well, my point is, this guy is not sincere to you. Try to think twice or more, he's not the one! You just said you didn't have constant communication with him anymore. You're the one who called him up and you said he didn't like to stay/talked on phone for so long. Wow! what a heck! everyday my fiance called me on the phone but to tell you honestly, I cant get enough of him. He's so busy and so do I but, we find time to talk and chats, texts, and emails everyday. Wherever I go or him, we informed each other. It doesn't mean we dont trust each other but, it's the sign of respect and we didn't want to feel worried with each other where we are and what happened to us. True love is not just one side... it's two people who do and committed both as one. It don't mean it just a part of a woman nor a man.. both will do the effort to have a good and strong relationship. Well, best of luck with you. Don't focus on guy who didn't even bother to do a simple task.. so simple yet he can't do it... how much more if you and him living in one roof and encountered storms? Think more and more it just for your own sake.God bless you.

  13. Hello,

Our heartfelt condolences to you. Yes, it's not easy someone passed. My dad just passed way back 2009 but still I feel longing for him. I love my papa so much. Well, that's life...you need to move forward and continue living. Your darling husband is happy now seeing you happy and knowing/feel you when he was still beside you. May the perpetual light shine upon him and he may rest in peace. Our deepest sympathy.

  14. I am a Filipina too but I hate this kind of people who uses a person especially to be a great pretender just for the sake of their own good. Filipinas are race to be a good lady and a loving partner but, what's others doing that's their preference/choice to make. This woman is not been true to you after all. She should think how you support her and her son. She should be thankful for the blessings that comes on her way not just throw it all away like treating u like a rag that after u have been useful to her she will ignore and put you in the corner. Me, myself is engaged to a American man and all I can say, is that we are so happy knowing we love each other with all our hearts. Just so thankful to God giving me a nice man to be my better/equal partner in life.. by this, I will do my very best to serve and love him with all that I am. Anyways, try to listen to her once more and have nice communications but if she still wont listen... there boy... move forward. Life is not just to be focus on her! You have your own life to move and not just get stranded in nowhere. There are many nice/good Filipinas outhere. God bless you.

  15. I'm a Filipina too and engaged to American man. All I can say is that, it's not nice to used someone for just it's own sake and try to play a great pretender after all then left the man when she already enter the great opportunity

awaits her. Being a Filipino, we are race to be faithful and loyal to our partners but what others do that's their choice. Try to talk to her and if she still won't listen then move forward. There are many good/nice Filipinas out there who could give love and not a user. God Bless you.

A little embarrassed, and messed up for a while, just getting over it.

Married my k1 fiance after a week. I thought she was intelligent enough to be patient and we could each learn our ways and stay married til interview time.

Luck would have it, my father got sick, died, and I was a little upset. A couple of times I snapped at her. She was acting strange. Not letting me touch her, hug her, things like that. I had a feeling she was intentionally trying to piss me off. The night my father died, I confronted her with this, and she began to cry, I never saw someone cry that much for a 38 year old! I am 55.

She went to stay at my moms house 2 weeks. I kept coming there asking, begging, crying for her to come back. She said she had friends in a Philippino neighborhood near us, and I said, go. I can't take it anymore, I'm having heart attacks seeing her here, and sleeping alone, knowing she may be crying at my mothers house.

So, my sister comes back after driving her, my sis says, she went to the BAYANIHAN COMMUNITY CENTER

40-21 69th Street, Woodside, NY 11377 She lied, no friend.

I heard though someone she called that they got her to go the police and report abuse. She has been there 2 months, and they won't answer the phone, won't answer my emails. She does not answer her phone or texts. Just like that after 5 years of supporting her and her son with xoom. She treats me like I'm dead.

I love her to death and would do anything to get her back. But the police said if she went there, she went because its a place where abused women go, and I cannot contact her.

Now heres the clincher, her friend told me they have immigration lawyers there that will get her her green card anyway. No one has contacted me to find out if her charges are real!!!!!! Any Philipino woman can do this, and I hope they do, and this place gets busted for visa fraud. Its dangerous too to allow anyone a green card these days. I don't think she is all there now if she can do this so coldly. I am 50% certain she planned it. I would take her back anyway. The interview isn't for a few months.

Sorry for the long story, but I thought you should know, it can happen to you. This girl just was not a good listener, and refused to talk at length without getting angry herself.

I was told by my therapist which I needed for my suicidal thoughts afterwards, not to go the infopass route, don't make waves. I sent a certified letter to the USCIS that I sent the 485 to. Now I figure, just wait, I won't get a divorce cause I want her to keep the medical benefits from job and texted that to her that she can still use the cards. Divorce in the future though.

I still trust Philippina girls, and in a few years may retire there and marry again after dating.

So, what do you suggest I do. Nothing?
