Disregard the above answer.
1) I just realized, I am still receiving paychecks from my previous job since I am an independent sales representative and my previous employer was my uncle (I am still getting paid from my previous job for new sales). Technically, I have two forms of income currently. Should we just say I still work the previous job for the sake of convenience?
2) If I decide to provide the updated form I-864, I am making $30,000 + commissions. Should I put $30,000 + commissions or just $30,000? My first pay stub will be August 15th, should I print that out if it is available to show proof of income?
3) Will this delay the process of receiving a green card since she will be submitting an updated I-864?
Please advise. Not sure what to do since I get income from two different jobs and not submitting the updated I-864 would be easier and possibly not delay the outcome.
Thanks again for everything Ryan, you are the man.

I am the petitioner, my wife will be interviewing on August 16th. I switched jobs and began working on August 1st for my new employer. If the interviewer asks my wife where I am currently working, I told her to give them my current job even though the Consulate/Embassy has no compensation details regarding this position. Is that going to create any sponsorship problems as my income on my tax returns came from my previous jobs with different employers?
Thank you all for the tremendous help! We couldn't have gotten this far without you!

Hi everyone,
So I paid my AOS 6 business days ago. I have contacted the NVC and they are saying that it will remain IN PROCESS for everyone until they can fix the problem however, there is no specific timeframe. The woman on the phone stated that I can use a blank sheet of printer paper and put on it:
NVC Case #
Petitioner's name
Petitioner's birthday
Beneficiary's name
Beneficiary's birthday
***The women on the phone said she could guarantee this wouldn't delay the process and that it would not alter the case.
Can anyone please tell me if I should do this? I am considering sending it tomorrow if it isn't too risky.
Thanks for any and all help!

Hi all,
I know this may have been covered but didn't find anything relating to back taxes. I am filling out I-864 AOS for my spouse in Israel and have a few questions about supporting documentation. I intend on providing my tax returns w/ W-2 and 1099 for years 2010 and 2011. I didn't work a full year in 2010 so the income may not be enough but I definitely meet the minimum requirement for 2011 and 2012.
1. For 2012, I have not completed filing my taxes on time and am requesting an extension today. Because I didn't complete it on time and cannot pay the full amount owed, I will be requesting an extension w/ a payment plan as I will not be able to pay the total lump sum. Does it matter if I owe the IRS roughly $7,500 in back taxes for the taxable year of 2012? I made well over the 125% poverty requirement. (Essentially, I would provide everything for years 2010,2011 and my W-2, 1099, letter from employer, 6 months pay stubs and tax extension notice for 2012.)
Also, for 2012 I filed as an individual. I doubt the extension will be an issue as it looks like they mainly care about income and not what is owed. Also, if necessary I can provide an I-864 w/ supporting documentation from my parents for their income for the past 3 years. Really having a hard time determining if I should include my parents I-864 w/ supporting documentation or if I should just submit my own.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Submitting my I-130 tomorrow and it says I need a copy of my birth certificate or passport for petitioner. I used my birth certificate but it asks for a copy of birth certificate (front and back). The back is just a blank sheet of paper, should I just put in a black sheet as a copy of the back? Don't know what to do! Thanks.

For I-130, I used black ultra fine tip sharpie to label all photos. Is that okay or do they require pencils? Also, should I label passport photos in pencil? Thanks.

Hi all,
For package assembly, I included actual photos labeled but I've read it may be best to just print on 8 x 11 paper.. can anyone confirm if it is bad to send in actual photos.
Also, for the assembly of the package, does it go in a brown envelope and should I paperclip every section separate? I know I need to paperclip the passport photos to G-325A and additional sheet but unsure about the remainder.
Thank you.

Keep reading it's best to put photos on 8 x 11 paper, still have the physical photos. Was going to use those since they are already labeled. If I choose to do this, do I need to put them in a plastic bag? Been hearing submitting actual photos isn't good anyways. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help Ryan! I think you have answered on every post of mine, I appreciate it. To clarify, I am only showing copies of passport stamps to prove travel.
-
I was going to send in actual labeled photos. Do you think that is too many? I could go the photocopy route if you think that is better... Also, can you clarify if I need both a birth certificate and a passport or just one?
-
My understanding was I only needed the birth certificate or copy of every page of my passport, not both. I am not a naturalized citizen. I guess I'll make a copy of every page of my passport, already using a few pages to show I travelled abroad.

Here is my cover letter. Anything need to be adjusted before I send it in? Also, two quick questions:
What is the letter (written by me) describing our relationship called?
Also, included close to 25 photos, 3 pages of G Chat records, 15 email pages and 10 pages of Skype screenshots? Is this too much?
Thanks in advance.

Also, they state their relationship to me but do not really mention how they heard about us being married. They just skip right to the part about how in love we are.. should I be concerned?

Planned on sending documents in two days but just realized something.
The sworn affidavits are from my mother and friend. They listed their name, address and date of birth but omitted place of birth. My mother stated that she is an Israeli citizen but not that she was born there (although you could make the assumption). My friend stated she lived in Maryland but not where she was born. Otherwise, affidavits were fine.
Should I have them re-do it or is this a non-issue?

I ended up doing screen shots for about 15 pages of skype records. One for each month going back about 15 months. Hope they like paper, also I will be using my bank statements to prove I was in various cities with my wife.

Thank you. Getting nervous sending this in, fearful I'm putting in too much ####### like bank statements and overloading pictures. Oh well, they want proof!

Hi.
My girlfriend visited for a few months in April. She got a No AOS/EOS/COS in her passport w/ I-94. She returned to Israel before that date so she did not overstay. We got married in September and now I am filing for I-130. She is not in the States any longer so for question 14, she shouldn't have to put any of that information in regarding I-94 and hasn't been under immigration proceedings correct?
Also, I want to use her passport copy w/ a few stamps to prove she visited the US. If one of the stamps says no AOS/EOS/COS, is it any issue.
Thank you.

I'm going to use bank statements supplementing pictures and itineraries. For the statements I'm highlighting the transactions to prove the different cities we travelled to. Can I write on the statements w/ big arrows to indicate hotels, etc?
-
Sorry if this seems stupid..
So I can just highlight all of the charges on my bank statement to verify that we were in fact in these locations traveling together? I don't have any boarding passes or receipts. Just the statements.
Also, I'll be submitting photos of us in each location. Is there a limit to the number of photos you can submit. I have like 15 or so but this doesn't include photos of my wife with my family and only 1-2 of the ceremony..
Thanks again.
-
Thanks, I will try to get as many airline itineraries as possible and just highlight the credit card statements I have.
-
Hi new to this forum,
I am having a hard time tracking down hotel reservations and airline itineraries. In lieu of this, can I submit my bank statements highlighting the specific airline and hotel expenses?
Thanks in advance.

Probably over thinking this but, for the question on G-325A and I-130:
If your native alphabet is in other than Roman letters, write your name in your native alphabet below:
Does this have to be handwritten or can it be typed? We typed it for my wife's G-325A and I'm not sure if I should get her to send me another handwritten.
Thanks for any help.

Getting ready to send I-130 in:
For proof of bona fide marriage I will be sending in airline tickets, Skype records, 15 photos of us together and three affidavits. For Skype records I am sending in two screen shots per month of conversations we've had but it seems like it will end up being a ton. Is it bad to send in too much to prove your marriage? Seems like that will be the bulk of the material I provide..
Approved!! Thank you everyone!

We passed the interview and my wife picked up her immigration visa last week. She will be arriving September 8th. Thank you to everyone who helped along the way, especially Ryan H!
