My wife went to her interview today and she passed! The immigration officer was even impressed how fast the application was processed. He was able to squeeze her in for an oath ceremony on Saturday 18 June at the local air show. Actually, the longest part of the interview appointment was the Los Angeles USCIS staff making multiple phone calls to make it happen. I really appreciate this because I'm in the military and got orders to move next month. I'm very impressed with the great customer service in the Los Angeles office. My wife got an unexpected call from a USCIS officer this morning that her interview will be tomorrow in the Los Angeles office. He said that if she passes, the oath will be on June 18th. I'm very surprised at the speed of processing for military spouses. I was expecting a much longer wait than that.

Hello!! I have this update. It has been like that for a few weeks and I have not received anything else. Does anyone knows what it means?

On March 7, 2016, we updated your name for your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXX. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I had the same name status update on Monday March 14th. I got my approval letter a few days later in the mail (postmarked 15 March). Since your update was on March 7, you may want to give USCIS a call.

I got an email and text this morning that my green card was ordered yesterday March 21st and will be mailed out shortly. I'll let you all know when it comes in the mail. USCIS messed up last time and mailed out my conditional green card to my old address even though I called them to change my address on the ELIS portal. At least the notices for my ROC petition went to the right address.

I got my approval letter yesterday from VSC! Date of Approval 3/14/2016. Please update my profile. Thanks!

The expedite approvals are at the discretion of the uscis officers. When did you submit the expedite request? You should call for a status check again if its been more than 10 business days. If that doesn't work then get a congressman or senator's assistance. Hopefully they will approve it since your wife has cancer.

Hi, K visa applicants are required to schedule their own interviews. The NVC only schedules interview dates for spousal visa applicants. See the link below for more information.

DoS Hotline will know a bit more, but wait a week (so says me)

when you hear of timetick 'casefile opened' at the DoS Hotline, then Manila IV has gotten the casefile, logged the casefile, and opened the casefile.

Once Manila IV has opened the casefile, THEN (and only then) are you eligible to get on the calendar for scheduling.

You can also set up an account at ustraveldocs.com and play around with appointment scheduling online - some folk with expedited cases (from NVC to Manila IV) have gotten lucky this year and were able to self-schedule.

Since you already have an interview scheduled - don't sweat the casefile movement from NVC to Manila IV - as it'll get out the door and into their hands within 10 calendar days..

I'll follow up with the NVC Monday evening to see if the case gets out the door. Then, I'll call the DoS hotline Friday July 12th to confirm receipt of the case in Manila.

Called the NVC today and they said all 3 cases were completed this morning! Since I have an approved expedite, I already scheduled the interview directly with the embassy. Do you think the file will be shipped out today? I asked the NVC operator and he said he doesn't know.

Just tried logging in to the payment portal for the heck of it and got this message: "You have encountered the database error. Please try again later." Don't see that in the FAQs. Again, just got the case number today, so I assume it's because they haven't done anything yet?

I called the NVC about that around noon today and they said they're experiencing technical difficulties. I logged in an hour ago and it worked fine.

My expedite request to the NVC was finally approved! The operator told me to mail the IV supporting documents to the NVC with ATTN: PI Supervisor Sue. She will forward my file to the embassy immediately. I'm praying that everything goes well with the medical and interview.

I called the NVC a few hours ago and the expedite was approved! They told me to mail the AOS, IV application and supporting documents to the NVC Attention PI Supervisor Sue. The operator told me she will forward the file to Manila immediately.

Still nothing! What's the point of an expedite request? I'm seriously asking...

I'm still waiting to hear something. I emailed my local congressman's office and the assistant emailed me back saying she will contact the US Embassy in Manila directly to find out what's going on.

Still nothing and I submitted the request last Wednesday! At this rate I'll be done with NVC soon anyway. I already paid the AOS bill and have the package in an envelope waiting to mail it. And we submitted the ds-3032 on Friday.

We have similar timelines. I haven't heard back from the NVC after sending the expedite request for the second time.

I sent in an expedite request to the NVC on Friday 14 June, and I haven't heard back from them. I called the NVC operator on Friday 21 June and she recommended that I resend the expedite request with the words "second time sending" to supervisor Sue in the subject and body of the email. I will let you know if I hear anything from the NVC.
