Our Story
Original interaction was via Date In Asia website in Dec 2010. I received about a hundred replies, whittled it down to 6 within two weeks, then only two, vetting them for almost 3 months until my trip in April 2011 which was planned to go to Philippines first to see Elnie, and then to NE Thailand to meet a managing nurse there. Once I met Elnie, there was no consideration of any other candidate and I cancelled my trip to Thailand. Stayed at Elnie's very nice family home for 3 weeks and we got engaged formally at a big party at the home, many relatives present. I was treated very well and never taken advantage of at all. Once I came home to Texas I asked Elnie to find us an apartment to rent, and she did so very frugally, only 5K pesos a month! We air conditioned and furnished the apt, and I went again to visit 60 days Sept-Oct 2011. We talk on yahoo messenger every morning and every evening...without fail... about an hour or more.
My problems with the visa application mainly involve multiple prior marriages on my part, as well as low income, since I live in a remote place, but own my property and possessions outright. I sold and owner financed a part of my property to bring my annual income within specifications. Elnie and I are a match made in heaven and we get along famously.
