  1. Hi guys

I had my interview today and checked my case status this evening. It says AP on mine also. Interview was at London.

I hope it's not in AP, as I fly on the 14th! Do you think the steps the operator described are correct?

    Cheers

    Rob

  2. Hi, im sorry for asking these questions, im sure they have been asked before, but I have been looking through the forums and cant find answers and some answers were from a while ago so I was wondering if anyone could give up to date answers cause I know some things change.

Right Ive read that it is only part 1 (upto question 35) you fill in and send in on all of the websites. But I've also read on here in the london forum that recently they have been asking for part 2 in the London Embassy. So my question is.... Should I fill in part 1 and 2 (upto question 44) and send them in (apart from the bit that I need to sign when im there). Then at least it is all done, and if i dont need it then they can ignore that?? Or just send in 1 (upto question 35), and take in part 2 complete with me on the day so that if they need it I can just pull it out?? Just send in part 1. Take part 2 to the interview. You can fill it all in, but obviously, don't sign it until you are there. (I think there is a line on the form saying 'do not fill in below this line'.

I've read that you need to send in a cover letter along with this form. Is there and example of one anywhere that I could use as a template, or can anyone give me a list of what to include in it. My cover letter contained - My name, address, case number, LND number, what documents where in the envelope (if they were signed/unsigned and if there were 2 copies), the date for my medical.

It asks for all of the different ways to spell your name. My name is Amy, so do I need to write in all of the different spellings because there is a LOT! Or shall I just put in Amy and also the same for my middle name Elizabeth. Just put 'Amy'. The box is there for people with names spelt with non standard English letters.

Thank you for you help. Again im sorry for repeating questions that have no doubt been asked, but I just really want to make sure I get it all right.

    Hope this helps....

  3. I'll be entering before it is filed. And, at that point i won't be working, due to EAD requirements.

My job will be more than sufficient to cover the numbers.

Reading the form, it asks for the US sponsor to fill it in. At the time of filing it will be correct. Upon review, there will have been a change in circumstances.....

Thats my issue. They will review a correct form at the time of filing, but however long down the line it may not be. We will still be able to meet requirements etc, just in reverse.

  4. Hi guys,

Right, the I-864 - Aff. for support required for AOS.

    Here is my quandary.......

My future wife is working at present making the required amounts etc

When i come over, i have immediate employment, and she would like to go back to school, start a family etc.

My income will meet all requirements etc, so, is it based on household income or her income?

I hope someone can shed some light on the situation!

  5. Before you can book the medical you need the 'LND' (case specific for the London Embassy) number from the NVC.

I am at exactly the same stage at the minute.

As soon as i have the 'LND' number from the NVC, I will prepare packet 3, book the medical, have the medical and then send packet 3. I don't want to risk my case not being at the embassy and have everything on the way!

See this for the medical info....

Ps. Do you have a timeline?

  6. Hi guys,

Just thought I would let you know I entered the US today at Chicago O'Hare.

    Went a little like this....

'Reason for your visit?' - Vacation

'Where are you staying? - Chicago

'Who are you visiting?' - My fiancée

'What do you do for work in the UK?' - Construction

'Four fingers and look at the camera please'

    Total time, 45 seconds!

I had everything with me! K1 package, proof of ties, return tickets, NOA 1, NOA 2....EVERYTHING!

He didn't even ask how long I was staying for! Stamped for the full 90 days on the VWP.

  7. Congrats!!!

It seems that contacting congressman/senator does work since USCIS processing cases with later NOA1 dates than the others. My NOA1 is August 10th, 2012 and still waiting.

To be fair, our congressional aid was great. He really did pull out all the stops. You should definitely contact yours if you are able to. Even to let them know the situation you are in....

And, Thank you everyone for your congratulations!!

  8. Guys and girls,

10 minutes ago I got the NOA2 via email! I'm physically shaking!

I will say this....It's not over yet, but we are a lot closer!!

Please DO contact your congressman/senator. It really does help them to gain knowledge of the situation we have been/are facing.

    My NOA1 was 21st September 2012.

Good luck guys! Thank you all so much for your support. I'm sure i will need your wisdom as I carry on with this process!

    Come on CSC!.....Your alive again!.....
