We are september filers and we got approved today. Check timeline for details. Thank God!!

We got a strange e-mail today saying we'd been moved to post-decision activity but no info on what that decision was. Same with the website. I called the USCIS line and there it said that our application was APPROVED!!
YEAH!!!
Thanks every one for your help and comments. Now for the interview phase.
Details:
.- Filed from abroad on Sept.4. NOA1 on Sept. 7
.- Went through all the strange transfers (NBC, local office)
.- 83 days between NOA 1 and NOA 2

Thank you Darnell. I called and the automated message said "on november 29 2012 we have APPROVED your application"
YEAHHH!!!

Hi everyone,
We just received an email saying our case has been moved to Post-Decision activity. It does not say whether it's been approved or not. The website shows this:
On November 29, 2012, your notice I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of November 29, 2012, contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move NGLISH
That "NGLISH" at the end is from the website. Nowhere does it say whether we've been approved or not. How can we find out?
Thanks!!!

We are in this situation as well. And we are living abroad.
I think the auto-expediting chances are low now, given everything that's going on. And it's difficult to say what the processing times will be, also.
But we are still hoping for the best and excited about moving to the US in the near future!!

We just got the paper notice for the first transfer of our application and it went to NBC, no surprises there.
Hopefuly next week we'll get the paper notice for the second transfer and see what field office it went to.
I'm not too hopeful about the auto-expedite queue anymore, though
At least I can wait out the process here with my wife, though, that makes me happy.

Sounds good, I guess. It means they are at least trying to speed things through.
-
What if the USC lives abroad? Does anyone know what the corresponding Field Office would be? Thanks
-
believe it or not I check that damn site 30 times per day!I'm gonna go insane till this process ends
I hear you. You know it is futile, yet you can't stop doing it. Kind of like an itch..

I will make a signature timeline today. Our dates are very close to the same for filing and even the wedding date ours was 7-12-10
Nice! This will be a good experiment which should yield interesting data.
-
It happened to us too.
Please keep your timelines updated (both VJ and signature) with as much detail as possible. This way we can all see how the system is behaving behind the scenes. That's the only way we have to try to understand this monster. Thanks!!

We hope that's the case and not something else that might delay our case. We'll keep our timeline updated.

Hey ebe. I'm glad to hear that from you, it means that what is happening is part of a regular, albeit new, process. NOA1 then transfer (with jurisdiction cause) about a week later. Let's see if in another week you get transferred again like I did.
Regarding where your case was transferred to, I suppose we'll get something in the mail about that. I got my NOA1 yesterday, it took 15 days to get here, so maybe around next week I'll get something about the first transfer. Your times should be similar if you are in Santiago.
Whether we'll get auto-expedited like other people have, only time will tell, I guess.

you could call, you know, use a telephone, and inquire.
I have called them and they haven't given me any other information
I will keep trying, though.
-
Hey Ebe, nice hearing from someone else in the exact same situation as ourselves. Files seem to be getting transferred a week or so after NOA1 (this is happening to a lot of people right now) so you are still a day or two early. I'll keep our timeline updated with anything and everything that happens to our file, no matter how insignificant
Take care!

Hello all,
I found this presentation on the USCIS website. I think it might be helpful for those who are about to start their petition.
-
I will keep my timelines updated so you guys can check what happens with all of this.
I was hoping for the auto-expedited queue, as well. We'll see how it goes.

I got transferred again, it seems...

Hello!
We received our NOA1 on 9/10/2012. Then on 9/18/2012 we checked our status and saw that our case had been transferred because of jurusdiction. Then on 9/24/2012 our online status showed that our had been transferred and was now being processed at a USCIS office (no mention of jurisdiction this time).
Now, I'm a USC living abroad so, as I understand it, this couldn't be an interview approaching. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any clues as to what this might mean?
Thanks!!!!

I've been transferred.

I couldn't purchase a money order in Chile. Believe me, I tried

Nothing special, I didn't even get to talk to a human. The automated system informed me of our case being approved.
