  1. We got a strange e-mail today saying we'd been moved to post-decision activity but no info on what that decision was. Same with the website. I called the USCIS line and there it said that our application was APPROVED!!

    YEAH!!!

Thanks every one for your help and comments. Now for the interview phase.

    Details:

.- Filed from abroad on Sept.4. NOA1 on Sept. 7

.- Went through all the strange transfers (NBC, local office)

    .- 83 days between NOA 1 and NOA 2

  2. Hi everyone,

We just received an email saying our case has been moved to Post-Decision activity. It does not say whether it's been approved or not. The website shows this:

On November 29, 2012, your notice I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was processed and mailed to the address on record. If you have not received it within 30 days of November 29, 2012, contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move NGLISH

That "NGLISH" at the end is from the website. Nowhere does it say whether we've been approved or not. How can we find out?

    Thanks!!!

  3. Hey ebe. I'm glad to hear that from you, it means that what is happening is part of a regular, albeit new, process. NOA1 then transfer (with jurisdiction cause) about a week later. Let's see if in another week you get transferred again like I did.

Regarding where your case was transferred to, I suppose we'll get something in the mail about that. I got my NOA1 yesterday, it took 15 days to get here, so maybe around next week I'll get something about the first transfer. Your times should be similar if you are in Santiago.

Whether we'll get auto-expedited like other people have, only time will tell, I guess.

  4. Hello!

We received our NOA1 on 9/10/2012. Then on 9/18/2012 we checked our status and saw that our case had been transferred because of jurusdiction. Then on 9/24/2012 our online status showed that our had been transferred and was now being processed at a USCIS office (no mention of jurisdiction this time).

Now, I'm a USC living abroad so, as I understand it, this couldn't be an interview approaching. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any clues as to what this might mean?

    Thanks!!!!
