OMG and I do mean OMG because of the holiday the marriage and courts and birth certificate places are closed and he is to return next week. If it ain't one thing its another. Now I don't begrudge no one and their religion but no one else gets a week off now. Come on man!!

HYey Everyone! I am planning my first trip to Lagos, in less than 5 months.....I plan to have one bag checked in....what am I allowed to pack? Meaning...can I pack food items? Water? What is allowed?

I am going to say APPROVED!!! He has to get a medical report and police certificate and take all these items to an address in Lekki, along with his passport. Pink slip of paper was spied by my husbands keen eye

I had someone ask me what it feels like to get an approval...first it's elation, happiness beyond compare, being over the moon! And then after some time, you come down from cloud nine because this process has wore you so emotionally thin you feel like you will crash in the next minute, and then that fades and you're back up again. I thought the roller coaster ride was over, apparently not, lol

Hi everyone i have to ask this questions and need responds ASAP.will it affect us if we wait for some months before sending or paying any bills in NVC stage ? will i be a problem if my wife wait till aproval (NOA2) before reurning to the US for jobs as to Affidavt of support my case (no co sponsor)? how long can NVC keep our case open ?

NVC will keep your case open for 1 year. I am not sure if you have 1 year to pay the bills but that would cut it close. You can go to VJ and get links to the AOS instructions to see what you will have to provide. For an I-130 you are only required to show the last tax year. So if your noa2 was approved in 2013 you would provide 2012 tax info. What I do not know is, if you had no income for 2012 for example, and provided info on that, and if your wife had an extremely high paying job, where sh...

Well guys i found a Nigerian Market now so my husband does most of the cooking. i have been looking since he got here and now he even goes shopping for groceries alone. What a relief off me. So now I only cook if i feel like it. Lol! So those of you that have your nigerian spouses here in the U.S. "Find that Market". You will be glad you did.

I have already found the African Markets. Not for that reason...lol, but I will certainly enjoy the benefits that come along with my find...smiling. There is a small one here, but will have to drive 1.5 hrs to go to one big enough to find all he will want to buy. What I have not done, however, is find a farmer to buy a goat from or a butcher to process it, because I don't think my hubby will want to go very long without his goat meat. Do they sell that in bigger African markets?

My wonderful sister-in-law was able to get my husband's birth certificate today and thanks be to God and for giving her the ability to get this task accomplished. I thought it was going to be difficult since she is so far from Lagos but she did not have to travel far at all! God's timing is everything!!!!!
